I concur with your point of view. BTS comeback will be different just because all of them have matured musically....but RM's trajectory is most different and he will be able to lead BTS onwards because he has gained most freedom and renewed confidence among the 7....its going to be so exciting to witness how RM moves on as an artist in his own right....and how he leads bts to their next phase which i think will be a more mature version of them.
RM made it clear in Indigo that he wants to create timeless art--art that will last beyond the latest production styles. There is a moment when Tae, a lover of classic jazz and other blues-based forms, listened to "Come Back to Me" and wondered, "How did RM do that?"
You always seem to say exactly what I’m thinking! thanks for your thoughtful analysis💜I too believe this album was for him only and I hope pouring it all out was healing for him. The group will have a different color in the future and I’m excited for us and them💜
Team RM did a great job. Namjoon is changing since Indigo is amazing and emotional. I learned to see him as a human being. ❤️🩹 more relatable and not an idol. I always had so much respect for him. All I want for him is to be happy.💜
I always enjoy watching these expansions and insights. Your comments brought to my mind that Nam-joon explains how he felt as the wrong person in the conversation he had with Jimin to talk about this album. We need to watch the documentary along with the Mini-Moni conversation to understand more details and connect the dots.
In my mind, rpwp feels like 'RM, the ARTIST'...where he was able to focus on himself, rather than on team. (P.S. re work...thankfully, I have found work friends who are comparable to lifelong friends because they're good people 🙂)
I always thought about BTS growth. All the decisions RM made were at best what seemed like best choices at the time, frought with anxiety because there was no precedent. BTS were not travelling along a beaten path. Imagine the stress of never knowing if the decisions he was making, and the entire future of his loved members were resting on these decisions
Actually I didn't see sides of Namjoon that I didn't see in BTS before. He was still shy, I had a sense that those around working on album kept pushing him to do things he didn't want to do. Especially San. He seemed embarassed most of the time. Musically loved the album but lyricaly...I liked Indigo more. You could tell that he was very angry at that time. Love his reasoning on life and in my opinion his brain is too much for him,he keeps analizing things and is full of anxieties. People love him the way he is and his artistry too. He needs to relax and stop analizing every single thing. Borahae Namjoon
I understand what you mean... actually a lot of ARMY felt the same way...I think maybe those are new sides of him when it comes to general public and other casual listeners but to ARMy I think we have been seeing those sides all along and that's why them mentioning that repeatedly makes us confused because we don't really see that much difference from the Namjoon we know
I am so glad RM didn't go to the military right away. He was able to create his own baby. He had a good team of people around him. That's going to be interesting when they are back together because they are going to be more involved in the making of album . I loved to see him being himself in RPWP
RM has the soul and temperament of a poet. He also always tended to overthink things. You could see his emotion during Festa that he was suffering a lot from not being able to find his own way. He had a lot of responsibility being the leader and may have felt he always had to act a certain way. He often said that he wasn't involved in the production part - that was in Yoongi's wheelhouse. Indigo was a breakout album and this was him experimenting more. I am not a fan of RM's type of music but was fascinated to see how he's expressing himself. I am glad he able to show us, through his music and documentary, how he is growing as an artist. The BTS that comes back in 2025 will be so different than the band we knew when they left for the military. I'm excited to see how they handle their comeback.💜 Just an aside. I'm not sure why many people feel they can't be friends with their coworkers. My longest and closest friends were my coworkers. I spent so much time with them, early in my career, that they became like family. Thanks for talking about RPWP...
Not exactly. He has composed and done a few songs before with his first album. I think this is the first time he has a staff like that and able to give instruction. If Pdogg is working on the album, you just trust him because he is your senior. But RM writes and doe his rap and give an impression of the sound he wants, and I guess they find something to fit. Remember he said he writes his song without music. But the others listen to music and then write the song. RM has also received music. But Spring Day composition was him imagining how it would sound and then singing it. It gradually grew from there. Pdogg fills in the blank.

I think your comment "his album was not to be enjoyed but understood" is spot on. Thank you!
I really love your analysis. I agree with most of them. You really do a great job. It’s like you were born to do what you do here ….😊

I think Jimin revealed him things he didn't get himself.

For the garmmy, I just think they never listened to his album.
Why still care about the GRAMMYS...
