THANK YOU for posting this video. Just got a used dryer that is squeaking terribly. This video is right on the money. No fluff, just instructions and facts.

My GE Profile was a bit older than this model but came apart similarly. The belt was broken, glides were worn but not right through and it had a ton of lint build up in the blower assembly. I replaced the belt, glides and front felt. I also did a thorough cleanup of the blower and ducts. My 12 year old GE is now running like new. Thanks for a great repair video!

Just found your video and this is the exact same model that I have. The noise I had was a rumbling while the drum was turning. The problem was caused by lint packed into the vanes of the blower. Once this was cleaned out, the rumbling went away. Thanks for the great instructions on how to open up the dryer.

You saved me from costly dryer repair/replacement! I opened my dryer up and found a penny causing grinding between the plastic bearings of the door and the drum. Looks like there’s a bit of fraying on my belt as well but at least I can dry for now. Thank you so much!

Thank you SO much for making these repair videos, Ben! I have a new GE dryer just like this one, so having these videos available as a reference will certainly help me address any problems that may crop up.
    Take care and God Bless.

I just had an easy fix on my Maytag dryer, the door latch broke and fell inside the door itself got the model number and ordered a new latch and pressed it in no tools required. Probably saved myself $200 bucks from service call and parts. Your videos are much appreciated 😊

Thanks Ben, Your GE Dryer video helped me eliminate the screech I was getting. I had to pull it all apart and get the dryer drum out and grease center hub.

Thanks for the video. I was apprehensive when I watched you getting the drum out thinking this was going to be difficult. But it turned out I just needed new drum glides. A very simple fix but would have been much more difficult without your explanation of getting the machine apart. I also noticed the rim of my drum felt rough and felt that it would eat through the new glides if I left it like that. So I took some steel wool and smoothed it out.

As far as dryer brands how do you like ADC. I picked up an ADC 20lb. Series 7 for the house. Except for it being very heavy and having to put in a 6-inch dryer vent this baby can really dry clothes fast. I'm pretty sure this will be very reliable its built like a tank. Have you had any experience with these?

Question: looking straight back into the dryer, the silver piece with lots of holes, I unscrewed that and when I put it back on the dryer sounded lopsided. What can I do to fix this and do I have to take the whole dryer apart or can I fix it from the inside?

Hey Ben, recently my washer started making a strange noise which is noticed by turning the tub by hand, and I don’t know what exactly it is. I have a video of the sound on my account. If you could watch it and please let me know as to that that sound could be! I would really really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Hi Ben great video. I was wondering if you knew where I could get the felt that the drum rides on at the top along with the slides. My slides look good but the felt is about gone. Any ideas? Or do you just use a normal roll of felt cut to fit?

Since there aren't any noise demonstrations, are the "unhealthy" noises always dramatic enough to be obvious? I took this model apart a couple times before having the benefit of your videos. (Two of my plastic knobs were broken after only about 5 years!)

Hey just found your feed I was looking for some information on dishwashers. Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher 5 years ago and now it doesn't spray inside I've replaced two of the cheap pieces which did not fix it and now the motor if I add $100 to it I get a brand new dishwasher so😮. Anyway I looked it up on the internet and they're supposed to last 10 years and this was 5 years in when mine quit working the range anywhere from 1500 to 500.00. I agree with you on the refrigerator unit I've never liked the ice and water in the door it's just too much what are you want to do is keep your food cold thanks
