I bought this Acura Integra GS-R about two weeks after the EBP 2000 Si. I could not pass up a rust-free GS-R in white and low mileage! It was a one owner owned by a business man who could no longer drive due to his knee problem. It was sold to me by a reseller who wanted to make a quick profit. All he did was put a battery in it. And he couldn't even do that properly! He was asking me what am I going to do to it. I said going to clean it up back to former glory. I was actually really close to leaving the car after a 12-hour road trip from Chicago, IL to Athens, GA because it looked like it needed so much work and I just bought a Si. But the car drove so well. And the potential was all there and it was everything in my capabilities. Anyways that just helped me to get the price lower and pay for the trip! I restored it to mint shape, and put on some modifications from a Type-R. All OEM dealer parts. It ended up totaling close to $4,000 in the end but I still made a very nice profit in the end selling it on eBay because the car was just so RARE! There isn't a rust-free, super original and clean, low miles, white GS-R anywhere for sale. That means you could dictate the price and people really appreciate the work! I did not want to sell this car by any means! I just had too many cars and it's time I move on. And my recent purchase of Supra did not help that either. It was a hell of a transformation and this car was a pure joy to drive. The clutch, gears, suspension, exhaust were all amazing. I would love to keep it forever but I don't have the space to do so at my age. Luckily the new owner is from Georgia, where the car came from, and has the same passion for these cars! I hope he treats her well because I will never forget it! Here's the story..
TYPE-R decal update: seems to be the only comment on this video.. that reason for the decals was to add some style and flavor on the side because the car looked kind of plain when it was all white.... not to be a Type-R! But that’s the first thing people notice on video or when you pull up on the street. They just read the stickers. Look at the mint build where the work went in not some decals I paid $140 for 😂 these decals sure do draw a lot of attention!

I have to disagree with you when you say, "The hell if it's a real Type R or not". I love Hondas and all but in my personal opinion Type R badges shouldn't be thrown on cars just for having a few Type R bits. Granted this GS-R is extremely clean, my first car was a GS-R and I can't even find the words to describe how insane it looked, but I still feel that there is a huge difference about whether it is a Type R or not. I would've never thrown on a Type R badge no matter what I did to my GS-R.

I realy like the way you cleaned and restored your Integra... as well as the modifications you made to the suspension.
I am the proud original owner of a stock red 1994 Integra GS-R VTEC with 88,300 kilometers on the odometer. There is no way i'd ever put Type R or any other stickers on it. It is headed back into storage for the winter. It needs a new exhaust system. I will consider one like the one you installed.

Nice when I saw the picture of the Integra at the Woodfield mall it kind of shocked me because I live nearby it and I went there multiple times pretty cool. I started having more love for the Integra's recently and wanted to know more about them and stumbled upon this video nice work man the Integra looks great.

the type r decals is ruing the car. your attention to detail is great. except the location of the stickers that are not supposed to be on the car in the first place. lol

I would of done that mod over and over on any GS-R. It needed that touch after my mods on the side just like the EM1 Si has it originally. The GS-R was a bit robbed compared to the R when they has a very similar motor. The EM1 Si and DC2 GS-R are brothers and the Si had the side skirts painted stock and the GS-R didn't. The GS-R came a bit cheap and boring for what it was.. Also the GS-R has no badging of its own. I've been through 20 Honda's I know these cars inside out. And the props on the street prove it's worth. Most people will die and never actually find a real Type-R mind as well show em some history one way through this clean example of how a GS-R should of came from factory.
what? lol. the gs-r did have its own badge. it was the dohc vtec emblem on the back. or you could put the db2 gs-r badge on it (which is pretty rare to find the badge)
but if you ever go to, lets say, ITR Expo, you would get a sense of why a gs-r will never be an itr, ever.
I can't wait to save up enough so I can buy a 96/97 accord coupe with a stick and restore it back to factory. You're videos are so relaxing and inspiring to watch. Great work.
This guy puts ITR badges on his GSR I took off my ITR badges, so thieves wouldn't be immediately attracted to my ride... Oh the irony.. Clean car either way.. I also own a white GSR but im proud of it as is... It is its own car, let it sport its own personality...Both cars are in entire different leagues...

But your Type-R is one of the hacked up ones so I get it. Oh BTW you wasted your time, the thieves already noticed it was not worth their time anyway.

Clean GSR.. but it's not a TypeR. I usually dont say anything but you were better off without the R decals. The rear is in the wrong place and it still looks like a GSR.. you could have gone the Integra SiR route that would have gotten you closer to your vision.

Damn bro. One I'm not married. Two I own a 93 Si hatchback with a B18c1/B16 head built. Three anyone who knows cars old or young would know off top that's not a R. The R is a legend. You are right about the rear badge I'll give you that.. but a "R" is more than placing sticker on a GSR. Your car is clean trust. But trying to puff your chest on a comment is a cute lol

do you miss it? I sold my 94 Integra MT GSR Sedan in 2010 after owning in from 2003. missed it so much, when I had the opportunity to get a 97 GSR Coupe last September I jumped on it! Now i have a much better income and resources to build it how I wanted to, its currently getting Fresh paint on the entire car after some body work. Your video inspired me in 2024 to take more photos and document the progress, I don't have many photos of my DB8 but ill have plenty of this DC2.

aside from the R badge, this is one beautiful, clean and tasteful little ride...and i wouldn't change a damn thing.

You did a great job, but take the type r stickers off. you don't have one. seam welded frame, completely different interior not to mention completely different can and timing setup. the rear wing. just to name a few things that keep this from being legit type r. Again beautiful car and grew job, just keep it real man. it's awesome without being a poser.
Thanks and I know what you mean but.. I'm saving roughly $10k and everyone pulls up and ask is that a Type-R? That's what it's about.. the extra bit of fun. Honestly the stickers belong there. Before them the car was just too white and boring... Then I added the front and rear RED "A" badges and the 3 Type-R decals and it woke it up! It just needed the red touches to give it some more flavor! I don't care much about a Type-R, it's an overpriced Honda. Yes original ones gain value for their racer factory style but is it worth it for a Honda...? I enjoy my leather, sunroof, stereo, low classy wing, MUCH nicer GSR blades, and sound detonating inside.

It's very nice, but I wouldn't put those type r logos on. It's not a type r. Nothing wrong with gsr. I had a 97 gsr myself. Loved it.
What HID kit is that? The cutoff point looks very good. Did you modify the housing?
Ray Cheung DDM tuning. It’s cheap and it works well. It’s a projector so it will have a clean cut off.
Do you have any pictures of the resonator of the GReddy EVO2 exhaust system for the GSR? I'm trying to buy a used GReddy evo2 exhaust for the integra GSR but there's rust on the welds. Not sure if the resonator is modified or what came with it. Your pic up close would help out a lot. Thanks.

Nice car man but seriously ITR badges gotta go sooo many reasons why this one is not. Also you really need to shield that intake somehow the HEAT soak is probably ridic in this thing. Either shield or go back to stock air box for the gains. ITR was my dream car too but went a different route now that i'm older. All and all great looking car but you should really stop faking it. ( paid way too much for a few fake decals)

That's because it came from Georgia and it received my detailing! :) It's a GS-R so it's Taffeta white. It's more of a pure white as opposed to the yellowish white, which to me looks a lot nicer.
How did you fix the noise from the door locks? did you replace the door actuators?
It was just the glue on the insulating cover that sagged down and got into the way of the actuator mechanism. It's a common flaw in the Integra's. Luckily an easy one! :) Basically just had to remove it from there and stick it back to it's original spot and the doors were perfect!
i know im late, but do you remember where you bought the sunroof visor?
can buffing sun fade work like permanently? my roof is a little fucked.
If the clearcoat has already fully eroded in some spots, you need to respray.
how come you didnt put type-r trunk spoiler on?
I like the low spoiler with the third brake light. No need to get rid of good parts.

Lol I trailed behind my brother the entire way. Plus cops are usually not on the highway and it they are standing it's too fast for them to notice. You get 2 days to register the car as well so I didn't care.

great vid mate! this has inspired me to get off my butt and do some TLC on my ITR. i have an 2001 itr i'm trying to sell. for the last 4-5 years it's just been sitting in my garage. i have checked kbb, forums etc, and i still can't find a decent way to price/sell it. i stumbled upon bringatrailer.com which had some itrs sold on there via bidding. my itr has 122k miles on it, no mods, just an alpine cd player. I've never modded it. i'm the original owner. i'm 36 and bought it when i was 19. can you give me some tips on other TLC you did to "restore" your gsr if you haven't listed in the vid? thanks for any info

man, after getting married, finished nursing school, having a kid, buying a house, i've been out of the game for years. i honestly have no clue since the ones i see sold on eBay etc, seem to be either heavily modded, or salvaged etc., so i have no clue on the comps on my ITR.... it's like you learn a language and use it for a while, then you stop using it/hearing it, and you just forget it, and now you're trying to learn it again. thats how i feel about my ITR and trying to "restore"/sell it.

i live in jax, FL. cosmetically it needs a wax/wash to start lol. stickers and wipers are deleted. there are some cellulite dimples near gas cover, 2-3 inch dent on passenger side front fender from me trying to jump over it after playing basketball. rear wing has some paint chipping on it as well. edit - just sent you a message on youtube message
That's a great price... Rust is everything to me, especially if your paying for it, you don't wanna see a bigass rust hole in your clean car cuz it just ruins everything

let's get started type R never had a sunroof or leather seats they came with white type r rims and a type r wing they had 30 more hp and better suspension so long story short you ripped someone off
