    I love the iFlight v2 narrow foam ... it's perfect

      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll have to give that a try. The foam fitment is based on your face shape so unfortunately even though it works well for you, may not be the case for me.

    Received the notification they were back in stock last Wed at 5 am. Ordered and will be here this Thursday. Noticed they were out of stock the next day. I'll report back on if they fixed my fitment issues.

      Hopefully you have a better experience with them. Fitment is really subjective to your face shape with these it looks like.

    5:20 On another 3rd party faceplate/foam I cut out the nose beak but left the inner ring/border in place. That left about 4-6mm which rests on my upper nose, but removes pressure from the rest of my schnauze extremity.

    I printed some headstrap relocators from thingiverse that helped position the strap higher on my head. Highly recomend trying them

    You can use standard 3000 mah 2s battery’s you get about 2.5 hours of use but they are 1/3 of the price. Also, Amazon has the short cable as well.

    Thanks for the review.
    I also purchased these and for me the fit is very good.
    My biggest complaint with this version of the foam (other than the ridiculous price) is the fact that the fit within the inside of the goggles is not very good (as you mentioned). For those of use who wear glasses and need the eye pieces, this issue is compounded because you cannot properly secure the eye pieces and they come off very easy, especially when removing your goggles.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to hear that you have good fit with them. Ya, it seems like an oversight. I didn't think about glasses given that these goggles have diopters built in.

    • @samavella8831
      @samavella8831 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mangorille It’s not my eyeglasses that I’m referring to, but the prescription lens inserts that come with the goggles.
      Just yesterday I modified this new Soft Fit Foam version by removing the material along the bottom portion of the eye pieces down to the the plastic moulding to allow more room for the eye pieces to sit on the lenses without touching the foam of the face plate. I did this using a soldering iron so that the material fused in place.
      When I placed the lens pieces, they seem to fit much better. The real test will be how well the lens inserts will stay on next time when I continually remove and adjust the goggles on my head between flights.

      @@samavella8831 Got it! I'm a bit apprehensive to modify this thing given the cost.

    Thank you for this
    The lens cover is a PITA
    I bought the Iflight v2 style B (narrow). It appears to be identical to this Dji version except that it attaches via fiddly Velcro.
    It’s ok, not great.
    However, before it arrived, I noticed the nose pressure pain was getting less annoying. I think that may be because my nose has developed a callus to counter the pressure. When I was a teenager I played guitar. For the first few weeks the high string tension caused considerable pain on my fingertips. After a few weeks, there was no more pain. My finger tips had developed calluses. You can’t see the callus and you can’t really feel it, but without the callus, pain.
    Now, I just have to remember to raise the antennas

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome. I find the nose pain is less noticeable when flying, I suppose the focus on flying makes the discomfort more bearable. I've got a big nose so that's been my problem with the Goggles 2 and the way they designed it.

  • @ninmarioscc

    I coiled the cable on itself. I wouldn't recommend using other than the OEM one. On my v2 I used the short one they sold and I had issues where they would be kinda lose or not all the way in so the v2 turned off while flying. A couple of times

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing. I find the connectors are all on the loose side. I usually use a cable tie to attach the cable to the strap ring so that there is no pulling force on the connector itself.

      Thanks buddy. I saw them come in stock last week in the Canadian store so I decided to give them a shot. Quite expensive after shipping and unfortunate that they didn't work better for myself especially after how well the upgrade DJI foam pad worked for me on the V1/V2.

  • @dronmdp

    hi! I tried cutting the top of the nose in the original faceplate, some adhesive weather stripping and it's almost done, I only need to mill some plastic from the top of the nose in the plastic of the goggles 2, so it will go closer to the cheek

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have an issue with your nose hitting the hard plastic of the goggles? I need a decent amount of padding in that area or it gets uncomfortable.

    • @dronmdp
      @dronmdp ปีที่แล้ว

      @Mangorille I just did some scrapping in the plastic almost touching the middle button, if you want to know the result I could try it today then do some video

    Okay, just got the new soft foam faceplate for my goggles 2.
    Fits like a dream and very comfortable. One problem. Now I’m constantly getting my lenses fogging up. Very quickly and pretty bad. It’s very maddening.
    Okay I live in a hot tropical climate in southern Taiwan so that doesn’t help.
    Question… has anyone tried anti fog spray or wipe with any success?
    Anyone else have this problem?
    The fitment of the new gasket is night and day better now with no light leak. The original gasket had a huge open space at the sides of the goggles.
    With the new faceplate I seem to have better peripheral vision. Not perfect but I can live with it.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The new gasket should have better anti fogging because of those small vent holes. I think you’re now finding this issue because they fit so much more tightly on your face. Do you ever put the goggles on top of your head over your hair?

    • @kchappelle
      @kchappelle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mangorille no doubt it’s because of a better fit.
      The fogging is not from my hair. It accumulates after I put them on. Those air channels on the new goggle faceplate don’t do anything. They might as well not be there. They are tiny.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kchappelle Ya they are tiny, better than not having them there. Thankfully I haven't had any fogging issues with mine but I think that has to do with the big gap at the bottom around my cheeks.

    • @kchappelle
      @kchappelle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mangorille the goggles don’t always fog up on me. If I’m sitting in my living room and using the goggles with my simulator no fogging. But if I’m out in the field and my face is sweating the lenses fog up like I’m in a steam room.

      The strap will fit but the foam pad is for the goggles 2 or integra. You want this: DJI Digital FPV System - MUST HAVE Goggle Upgrades & Accessories in 2020!

    The blurry edges mean your eyes are too far from the lenses, because the padding is too thick.
    Put on the goggles without the foam for a moment and you will see no blurred edges whatsoever.

    Just keep in mind there’s no way to put a custom strap on the Integra because of the battery design.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct. The cable is embedded in the strap.
