I have some clothes that have lasted a decade from Wal-Mart! LOL. You are a patient man about the battery. And I can't believe what happened when you got it!!!
Similar thing happened with a Vinyl (record) Single 7inch by one of my absolute favorite bands. And this vinyl (sold by a seller through Amazon) was THE ONLY ONE I have ever seen for sale, and it was $19.99. So, when I had money I was going to immediately get it, because I didn't want to wait and have someone else get the item. Well, I started thinking to myself,"I could get a full album (LP) for that price.", so I didn't get it. Well, you can probably guess what happened; it is now gone! I am seriously kicking myself SO HARD & SO MUCH!! I really wanted it, and now I may never see it again. DANG! Lol, great storytime video as always, Jeff.
Just wanted to say that the end of this video was just what I needed to hear today. Having a rough time lately - thanks for helping to keep it in perspective Jeff.
I go to wal mart maybe 1-2 times a year and it's usually just for socks and underwear. Here's a tip for anyone looking at socks at walmart. If you see the 10 packs for $6 or $7 (Canadian dollars, probably like 5USD) and think they look like a good deal don't buy them! My feet have never smelled so bad. In more expensive socks I can take off my workboots without "clearing a room" but the cheapo walmart socks could sure vacate a premises.
Thanks for the video, Jeff! Do you have thrift stores in your area that you shop at? I shop almost exclusively at Goodwill/Salvation Army stores and I can't tell you how many amazing clothes I find there for super cheap. Especially shirts! I buy all my dress, jackets, vests, neckties, and most pants from thrift stores. I save a ton of money and the styles look super sharp to me.
HAHA love the story Jeff! Not sure if I'm reading the battery model right (DR9674?) but there are some on ebay for around $15 if you still need it lol.
Hey Jeff! if you still have that old 1 hour battery that degraded you can generally repair the battery time by simply leaving it on charge for like 2 days after its charged, i don't understand it but it tends to rejuvenate the total full charge running time, works with phones and such too, then (as i would with batteries) you can keep it as a running spare!
1 aug. Is my anniversary too brother!!!!!! 17 years with the same old women lol!!!! That gave me 4 beautiful babies that I can ask for! You're right, b/c sometimes I feel like a total ass bag and nothing is going right for that day and I come home to see my women and my 4 kids and damn, don't I feel like I have been blessed!! I hear that im a lucky man to have a great family all the time and sometimes I do forget , then I know to take a step back and take the time to look around me and see what I have and how blessed I am b/c there are people worst off them I am!!!!!! Thanks!
I'm not actually an aromatic smoker, but Boswell Chocolate Cream is very good. In the bag it smells like fresh baked Brownies and in the mouth it tastes like Creamy Coco. I enjoy a bowl of this Blend regularly. If you like Coco, I can easily recommend it.
My local WM sporting goods section has a clearance shelf that I browse when I am there and a lot of stuff doesn't have any prices. A couple times I ask the dude who works there what the price is for something, when he tells me, I usually say OK, and then put it back on the shelf, then he tells me he can give it to me for $5 if I really want it....DEAL!
I just about DIED when you said the battery didn't work! Ha! Oh well...you still won the war Jeff!!! Well done, and thanks for sharing and being honest. You're the best :) Happy Anniversary you two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff, great story time! You had me laughing the whole time. I can't tell if it not working was sarcasm or not but I can only imagine your disappointment. lol. By the way over the past few weeks I noticed the lack of the old secrete messages in the tags. Keep up the great work!
You need a butane Thunderbird pipe lighter insert for your nice Zippo that you have. They are fantastic. Sorry the battery didn't work out. Keep up the great videos. Congrats on the Anniversary!
I use a Patona hi-capacity (3h) accu for my Panasonic camcorder. It work great well and i can charge it in the cam. It cost my 100,- € less than the original from Panasonic.
You are freaking awesome!! You have inspired me, with a simple story buck a great moral behind it!! I wish i knew you personally, i know you'd make an awesome friend!! Keep up these awesome videos!! I've been watching for almost a year. Keep up the awesome vids!! Have an awesome day!! cutlerylover
Hey Jeff, are pipes and the type of tobacco you use addicting. I would like to start smoking pipes but only on occasion and I don't want the constant urge. Thanks, Samuel
Man! That is total bullshit. You went through all of that struggle & the P.O.S didn't work. I cannot believe the luck of the draw on that 1. Long live Cutley Lovin Nation!
i haggled at Walmart before! it was a universal charger for 3.5-12 volts. it was the only one, it was broken and missing a piece. i needed it to cut the wire and splice the adapter part to a fan, It was all i needed and it was the only one! it was ripped open and missing a "vital" piece i didn't need, - dude at the counter wouldn't sell it to me!!!! so i see a manager and ask him what can be done and i actually end up getting 5 bucks off!
Congrats on the battery. Quite an epic story behind a battery. Now off on my journey to get a 42" TV for $100 wish me luck :) too bad there's no red tag on em.
this reminds me of when I found an unmarked leatherman micra. At dicks sporting goods i saw a micra in the glass case that was part of a pack that was no longer for sale. They couldnt find a UPC and offered it to me for 5 dollars. I carry it every day.
"Had some private time"... giggity! ;-)
The fact that it didn't work makes the story 10x better actually. So at least you got a funny story out of it.
i would have went dumpster diving for it
Pull a big dirty and get all walmart's batteries!
Thought the same thing.
Love it. Nothing better than getting one of those (rare) incredible deals on something and walking out like "yup...I'm awesome!".
Nothing better than an honest relationship where you can be yourself. Nailed it.
"So... can I follow you to the dumpster as you throw it away?"
Awesome story, thank you for the 22 minutes of entertainment today.
I have some clothes that have lasted a decade from Wal-Mart! LOL. You are a patient man about the battery. And I can't believe what happened when you got it!!!
I wouldve told them to throw it in the dumpster then went dumpster diving to get it for free lol.

Unf*cking believable-I never realized that these retailers make THAT much of a profit.
cMaXeJIJIo buying in bulk is cheaper
cMaXeJIJIo they usually make 100% profit meaning they pay $50.00 they get 100.00$
You were so happy....all that effort and it didn't work.....I felt bad for you but it was funny seeing the pop up too ..."it didn't work" 😂
My local WM sporting goods section has a clearance shelf that I browse when I am there and a lot of stuff doesn't have any prices. So the battery not working, why didn't you try manufacturer guarantee/warranty to get a replacement direct from them?
Lol!! All that time and effort you wasted on that! Wow...
Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary!

As a Walmart employee I'd be surprised if someone tried haggling.
its awesome that you got the deal you wanted jeff but all these types of batteries have a limited shelf life
i haggled at Walmart before! it was a universal charger for 3.5-12 volts. it was the only one, it was broken and missing a piece. i needed it to cut the wire and splice the adapter part to a fan, It was all i needed and it was the only one! it was ripped open and missing a "vital" piece i didn't need,

Congrats on the battery. Quite an epic story behind a battery.

this reminds me of when I found an unmarked leatherman micra. At dicks sporting goods i saw a micra in the glass case that was part of a pack that was no longer for sale. They couldnt find a UPC and offered it to me for 5 dollars. I carry it every day.
spoiler:
haha wow after all that it didnt work?!?!
did you try charging it??
You are a legend my friend ! xD
LOL all that and it didnt even work. Omg my sides!!!
would have been even better if you told the manager that you would give her $20 to throw it NEXT to the dumpster so you could pick it up lol
The beard is coming in nicely
Congrats, today is 1 year to the day before my actual wedding! Ironic!
Damn Jeff got some ,shit boy, “private time”
The story alone was worth more than any battery!
