    as far as I know Flsun V400 is running klipper out of the box aswell (someone please correct me if Im wrong) but I did see another video about Hurakan saying its "the 1st 3d printer running Klipper out of the factory"..wonder which one was first😁 in any case I dont think that matters that much. What makes me happy is to see 3d printing industry going in the right direction. I mean Marlin has most of Klipper's features , its just a bit harder (or is it?) to implement everything.

      You're right. I completely forgot about that one. So this is the first bed slinger with klipper out of the box, that I'm aware of.😅 Maybe it was the recent official sponsor announcement with Bigtreetech and Klipper that made me think it was the first.

      Klipper definitely has more features than marlin
      - No reflashing just edit the config
      - WIFI interfaces (well marlin and octoprint exist so)
      - Input shaping
      - More customizable imho
      Etc

    I bricked my Hurakan on day 3 (yesterday afternoon). I was using the website interface. When I updated Mainsail, the connection failed. So my board was bricked. Now I'm trying to figure out how to load Hurakan_Debian11_Mainsail_kernel5.16_20221119.img.xz to the board. Do I put the file on a full-sized card, and use that slot on the printer????? Or do I put the file on the micro SD card? And install it via the micro slot? Please advise.

    • @StackingLayers
      @StackingLayers  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not bricked. In the klipper world it is very important to read over the update notes before doing updates. Things have changed recently with how files are handled and if you don't follow the procedure correctly then you will lose connection until the files are re linked.
      This is a good example of what can go on, and may be what is happening github.com/Arksine/moonraker/issues/516
      If you want to install the new image you mentioned you need to flash it to the SD card using balena etcher or raspberry pi imager. It doesn't get installed to the MCU like Marlin firmware. It is the operating system that runs on the onboard host computer (CB1 in this case) and the micro SD card is the hard drive. The larger SD slot (MCU) is used for flashing firmware if needed, in this case it is likely not needed, as you are not changing the Klipper version nor converting to Marlin. So don't try to flash anything through that.

    BTW, Is it the eye on the extruder? It looks cute.

      Haha Yeah it started with a comment posted by Joe Telling - 3D Printing Nerd on Twitter. Just something fun to do. As a bonus it got my kids more interested in the machine. Before they would ask what I was making, now it's, "what is the printer making today?"

    So another channel said the printer is very noisy but yours seems reasonably quiet. Have you modified it?

    • @StackingLayers
      @StackingLayers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope it's completely stock and is fairly quiet. Its very comfortable to be in the same room with it. Dramatically quieter than the BIQU B1.

    Your huracan did not come with a accelerometer? My understanding is, they send that tool with the machine?

    • @StackingLayers
      @StackingLayers  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a pre-release. Only the first 300 or 500 (I can't remember the number) preorders got the ADXL with the machine.

    Can you try to print differ type of material like tpu abs or anything else

    • @StackingLayers
      @StackingLayers  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have printed PLA, PETG, and TPU all with great success. I don't have an enclosure so I stay away from ABS, but I have a buddy that has printed ABS and ASA on their Hurakan and said it did great. He said ASA was the best of the two.

    what materials does it support?

    • @StackingLayers
      @StackingLayers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it's a Bowden tube set-up so it's not going to be able to do high temp without some hotend upgrades I personally wouldn't want to put any Bowden tube set-up over 240c. Also soft TPU and similar very soft materials are notoriously difficult with Bowden tube machines. Otherwise it should be able to handle a decent range of materials. I've so far done PLA, PLA+, and PETG, all worked well.

      @StackingLayers  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StackingLayers how do I install that file (which is 20221119 in the assets list, not 20221110?) to my Hurakan? If I put that img.xz on a micro sd card, and put that in the micro sd card slot, will that work? Or does the file go in the other slot? (The full-sized slot?)
