      Isaiah 43:13 says " from eternity to eternity i am God, No one can snatch anyone from out of my hand. No one can undo what i have done " ..... also in philippians 1:6 says "And i am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished ..."

He has risen himself from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father. He sends is Holy spirit to draw us to himself and never lets us go and he never loses any of his sheep. Praise God for what he has done and promised and i thank him for it. Grace be to you and everything you do do it for the kingdom of God. God bless

      God isn't a vending machine. He isn't good when it's good for you.
      That you haven't been cut down already is a blessing. You deserve NOTHING good. Every time you've had anything good it was a gift of God. You have the audacity to lay down demands to the King of everything? Who are you? What are you owed? What wisdom do you have that rivals God's knowledge? God blesses the humble.

There are people right now Sufferring for CHRIST in ways Pastor is not thinking of at this moment; though, im sure he would affirm what i stated (maybe not, though). Can a person decide whether or not to be content or has God ordained how we feel?
    Why does it seem that Calvinists contradict their doctrine whenever they’re not preaching on it specifically?

    • @robertknight3354
      @robertknight3354 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A few points.
      #1 why does it seem NON calvinists can't help but to watch calvinist sermons and engage calvinist videos?
      #2 God doesn't ordain your feelings. Your feelings are your own. Understanding God's truth WILL change your feelings if you know Him then you will know that.
      #3 is it your contention that Christ on earth never corrected or directed people to a different understanding?
      A calvinist doesn't claim God is in control of whether or not you curse when you stub your toe, but we know that as He breathes His grace more and more into you that it will change you. We know that studying in His word will always speak new things in you. It is a pastors job to direct his flock to find the word.

      #1. I didn’t realize we weren’t allowed to listen or engage with people we disagree with. You must be part of the left.
      #2 Calvinism claims that God has ordained ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER COME TO PASS.
      If someone has certain feelings, is that not something that comes to pass? (And he became angry).
      Are you not familiar with Calvinism and what men like Durbin teach?

    • @robertknight3354
      @robertknight3354 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evanu6579 Actually the leftist engages 100% of the time with everything it disagrees with. Attempts to ridicule, demonize or shut it down. It SEEKS OUT those things and attacks it. Similarly to what you are doing. This is a SPECIFIC calvinist church. You didn't come by chance to hear a spiritual discussion between brothers and one raised a calvinist view which you naturally engaged in. You specifically came to a calvinist source to drop snarky dismissive intelligence insulting comments. That is very left like.
      #2 This one I may have not explained at my best.
      Yes God sets everything in motion and rules over it....so in our disagreement at that point we are on the same page BUT that's not the whole of it. God uses 2 instruments to bring about changes in people. They are His word and us. His people. He uses US to preach. He uses US to encourage and then He does the work. The bible tells us to sharpen our brothers, correct? Christ did chastise and correct also, right?
      Yes he ordains but He leaves US to spread HIS message. Is that not agreeable? Your bible tells you to spread the message of the Kingdom just like mine.
      Because you have this roadblock in your theory of calvinism doesn't mean it is wrong. You haven't understood the principles.
      If I haven't explained well enough feel free to ask again. Your first comment took me aback because it was an insult to our intelligence. If you want a reasonable dialogue I'm ready and willing. No more insults.

      You came at me as though I didn’t have the right to challenge views that I deem counter to be anti biblical and opposed to God’s character. You basically said that I wasn’t allowed here. It came off as a leftist remark to me, so I responded as such. I’d be happy to leave the negative comments aside and have a serious discussion.
      I do have a question for you though. Did God ordain that I write exactly what I wrote and did I have any free will to write anything else? Could I have chosen not to come on this site and leave a comment?

    • @evanu6579
      @evanu6579 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertknight3354
      Also, you said that God uses two instruments to bring about changes in people.
      If God ordains all things whatsoever come to pass, then didn’t God ordain exactly what changes would occur in every individuals life throughout their lifetime? Wouldn’t He have written the script to the letter of what would be, and would we have any will in the matter to do otherwise?

    • @NickHawaii

      Lucas Huck When John said that Isaiah ―saw the Messiah‘s ―glory, it was in the sense that he prophetically saw the future glory the Messiah would manifest, not that he literally saw the Messiah or that he saw the Messiah as Jehovah in a pre-existent state.
      My argument is supported by the fact that...
      (1) The context of John 12 shows that John is talking about the Messiah, not Jehovah, when he said, ―[Isaiah] saw his glory and spoke about him.
      (2) Isaiah does not teach that the Messiah and Jehovah are the same individual but portrays them as two distinct figures, in every case (Isaiah 4:2; 11:2-3; 42:1; 49:5; 52:13; 53:2, 6, 10; 61:1).
      (3) John does not only refer to Isaiah 6 but to Isaiah 53 (Isaiah said these things...‘)
      (4) Isaiah 52:13-15 in the Septuagint speaks explicitly of the ―glory of the Messiah in a context where the prophet goes on to ―speak about him in much detail-―...my servant shall understand, and be exalted, and glorified exceedingly...and your glory shall not be honored by the sons of men.
      What “things” did Isaiah say “because he saw his glory”? Well, John quotes Isaiah here twice, first quoting Isaiah 53:1 concerning the ‘arm of Jehovah’ and then quoting Isaiah 6:10 concerning the temple vision.
      At Isaiah 53:1 the ‘arm of Jehovah’ is Christ Jesus. At Isaiah 6:10 the speaker at the temple is Jehovah, but he includes his Son with him when he says: “Who will go for us?” that is, for me and my Son. Thus we see that the prehuman Jesus was associated with Jehovah in his glory at the temple, and hence John could rightly say Isaiah here saw his glory and spoke about him, “the arm of Jehovah.”
      And what about the words or Psalm 102:25-27? Yes of course this is speaking about Jehovah. I know sometimes Hebrews 1:10-12 is used to show Jesus must be Jehovah since it is talking about Jehovah (who we know in scripture is the Father).
      However, we know that can't be since Jehovah is the God of the Messiah according to Micah 5:4. Could it be to understand Hebrews 1:10 we could just read a few more verses?
      In Hebrews 2:7 it tells us, "You made him a little lower than angels; you crowned him with glory and honor, and appointed him over THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS." Whose hands? Jehovah God. Now when we go back to Hebrews 1:10 it makes scriptural sense that it speaks about the heavens and earth as the work of his hands and Jesus absolutely was appointed to participate as he always is when having a share in fulfilling God's purpose.
      As Psalm 8:6 tells us: "You [Jehovah] gave him [Jesus] dominion over the works of your hands; You have put everything under his feet:"
      1 Corinthians 8:6 says that the FATHER is the source of creation. FROM the Father and THROUGH his Son. That is what we believe. And even Hebrews 1:2 tells us that.

    • @NickHawaii
      @NickHawaii 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lucas Huck Lucas, do you think you can explain Psalm 110:1 for me? Thanks.

    • @good_brake
      @good_brake 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your explanation of Psalm 102 doesn't work. The author to the Hebrews clearly quotes it of Jesus, and the original author clearly identifies that it's about Jehovah. So clearly this means Jesus is Jehovah. That doesn't mean the Father isn't Jehovah, nor does it mean the Son is the Father. You would have to assume that Jehovah is Unitarian to make that error, but that's incompatible with Scripture.
