Pastor Jeff Durbin is a REAL man of God! He has shown time and time again that he has love for the lost, and he takes actions to lead them to Christ. He street preaches on a regular basis, and he does not let these lockdowns stop the Gospel from spreading. We all should hold this man as an example of a true disciple of Christ.

I just found you about two months ago, but after about 50 videos, I think this is your best. Thank you so much for this incredibly important teaching. Almost every Christian I know thinks the law went right out the window with Christ. They rebuke me constantly when I tell them there’s something to the obedience. I’m a new Christian and I see obedience all over the Bible, including the New Testament. And if we love Jesus, then we obey Him.
That can’t possibly mean love alone in the way that these people seem to think it means. The more I look through the old covenant laws the more I see the love from God in a very profound way that you see only when you truly want to see the truth. We serve a magnificent God. Such a freedom and such a blessing in truth. Seems like everybody wants to just keep living the way they live, and lay on the righteousness of Christ alone. There’s so much more to this. We are called to be holy and righteous, because God is holy and righteous. Bless you and your ministry. I’m so incredibly thankful for you.

God is immutable. The Old Covenant law, though holy and good, is not. If it were, it would have been administered in an indestructible temple by priests who possess indestructible lives. That Temple would still be standing and that priesthood would still be ministering. The law was temporary because it was made for men who die. It was given as a guarding UNTIL the coming of the Seed, who would give man eternal life. Now that the Seed has coming, the Old Covenant has been rendered obsolete, REPLACED by a better law. The Mosaic law made nothing perfect. "Christ, by one sacrifice has made perfect forever, those who are sanctified."
In eternity, when God is all in all, and our love has been made perfect, there will be no need for a law to tell us to worship Him only, and make no graven image. So those two laws are therefore not eternal.
In eternity, when we inhabit immortal bodies that neither marry nor are given in marriage, there will be no need for a law to tell us not to murder or commit adultery. Those two laws are likewise, not eternal.
In eternity, when we possess all things in both heaven and earth, there will be no need for a law that tells us not to steal or covet. Those two laws are not eternal.
In eternity, when time is no more, when there are no longer days and weeks and months and years, and we inhabit bodies that never grow tired, there will be no need for a law that tells us to cease from working ever seventh day.
The law was made for the unrighteous, the sinner, for those in Adam, those in the flesh, those part of the old creation, those under the Old Covenant. Gentiles, by the way, were never under the Old Covenant. That covenant was made only with Israel.
Those in Christ, who walk in the Spirit, who have been made new creations, and have already entered into the new creation, being raised up and seated with Christ in heavenly places, who have been made the righteousness of Christ, who are partakers of His divine nature, live by a better law, with a better priesthood, a better High Priest, and a better Sabbath.
Lawkeepers have no idea what Jesus accomplished on the cross for us. We died WITH Him. We have been crucified with Him and no longer live. We are dead, and Christ is our very Life. Christ lives His life through those who walk in the Spirit, who walk by faith. Sadly, the law is not of faith, and those who live under it can never please God. God is only pleased when we trust in the perfect righteousness of Christ.

Funny thing happened to me when I came across your stream. Let me explain. We have been studying the Torah before. I have watched streams from Messianic Jews. They mention the same things. I started off in Lutheran, and went to Nondenominational. My wife went from Catholic to nondenominational. I feel we have been lead astray from these various churches that i will not mention. The Torah isn't just a thing done in the past. It's the truth. I understand the spiritual is the base of Christianity, but the law is structure. I actually never understood the lamb of god until we studied the Torah. Everything made sense now. Jesus was crucified during Passover. The time you have to slaughter your best lamb to god with the blood of the lamb. I wanted to tell you thank you for your sermon pastor. To go into context. I didn't seek you god brought me to you on my feed. I trust the holy spirit to guide me to places.

God personally fulfilled that system and we are to look ONLY to Jesus now.. Jesus is all over teh OT and the NT it is Him from front to back, but we need to put down the things God fulfilled as Laws, sure Word is always Word, but they are not laws. and we are to look to Christ in us the Hope of Glory not rules for a temple that God personally destroyed.
This is My Beloved Son, hear Him, and God said that while Moses was standing right there.. you need to beware the Gospel has been perverted and added too, and James said that we have to do ALL OF THE LAW, and there are 613 OT laws.. either we take Jesus as our wonderful Lamb as you said or we try to whore His sacrifice out and remake a system that he destroyed.

@@mommygraham Jesus fulfilled teh Laws of Moses, (as laws). They are still very much Bible but God has us looking to Jesus now for how we should behave not a system that He plainly ended. God tore that curtain, and there were 613 OT laws, and He ended that whole system, but like what happened with the bronze serpent people keep trying to worship it.
Also the Law brings death not life, and Jesus died to fulfill it so taht we could be before God without the Laws of Moses.
No Christian can be under any of teh laws of Moses as Laws, since the temple is gone too, and the law system had the temple system to make it all work and it is gone and God tore the curtain and God had that temple burned down. He says so in the Word.

Ever since day 1 people have been trying to pervert the Laws of Grace and make men obey the laws of Moses that God plainly brought to an end as "laws". Scripture is still always Scripture but God changed teh way that he dealt with men and some men have now made an idol of the OT laws, and thus have shoved Jesus down and urinated on His headship and His rule and His sacrifices..
      Galatians says:
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
We are set free from teh laws of Moses and we are to obey Christ and His laws, but some folks have religious demons in their mind and they will try every time to shove us back under those OT laws that can no longer ever be used as laws again.

Communication is the most important thing we do. Where would we be if the Father did not communicate with us through His word? What a wonderful way to let us know who He is. What a wonderful way to reveal to us how to be reconciled back to Him. He could have chosen other ways to speak to us. Sometimes He does. Sometimes He just "speaks" to us. But, for reasons that to many of us are obvious, He chose to communicate through people. Not just any people, but people that He knew would faithfully preserve His words through their culture. The Hebrew people. His view of the world became their view of the world. Or, you might say that their view of the world conformed to His view of the world.
So, life would be sin free and we would all be basking in paradise if it were not for one significant, unfortunate detail. The devil. haSatan, as he is called. The problem is that he knows all too well how important communication is. He knows what the Scriptures say. He misquotes them frequently, but he knows what they say. He knows that "... faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of ’Elohiym." He knows that faith in the Word of ’Elohiym and obedience to that faith changes lives. He knows the power of ’Elohiym's word. He knows that societies prosper and flourish when they obey ’Elohiym's word. He knows that people do not need to be healed when they are already healthy. He knows that nations, and families do not need to be restored when obedient to the Word of ’Elohiym. He knows that when people keep the words of ’Elohiym, that they win and he loses! So, he commits himself to pervert the words of ’Elohiym.

Compare this to 1 Cor. 9:21, where the same term is used and rendered "lawless"/"without law." Most modern translations have corrected this error. It should read, "Everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness." We know that Paul continues in the above passage, saying that he is not without law (same term as lawless), but is under the law of Christ. What is the law of Christ? Love. If you continue to read in 1 John 3, and not just cherry-pick verses, you'll see that he says specifically regarding this "law" in 3:23: "This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us." For centuries Christians have known that the enemy perverts church doctrine. Christians have argued among themselves over doctrinal issues since the book of Acts, but to no avail. Why? Because we are swatting at the branches and not getting to the tree, much less the root. Satan simply redefines the words, slowly, a little at a time. He spreads this calculated scheme over a long period of time. He uses evolution. He causes ’Elohiym's words to evolve over time. He uses the most elementary technique, the translating of one language to another. Words that over time have changed. Words of the New Testament that have become almost second nature to us..
The terms that we read in the New Testament were not created in a vacuum. Virtually every word or words that you read have their beginning and defining in the Tanakh. When Jesus' or any of the writers wrote their words, they did so with full confidence that the readers were already familiar with the words they chose to convey ’Elohiym's ways. When Jesus‘ said, "Be not afraid, only believe", He used a term already well established in the Tanakh as to it's meaning. The word 'believe' did not pop up from nowhere in the New Testament! He assumed a previous knowledge of this word. When He uses the terms; kingdom, life, light, righteousness, way, truth, receive, bind, loose, come together, or worship, for example, He assumes we know what these things mean from our knowledge of His previous words. But we take the meaning of these common words for granted.

Very good and powerful lesson. Some of the passages mentioned, one being Isaiah 2, are prophetic passages concerning the 2nd coming and Christ's rule on the earth from that time on. I understand that prophetic passages are often brushed off as poetic passages when in fact they reveal how the world will operate in the coming age.
The church is nearly biblically illiterate in our understanding of the end of this age and Jesus' coming rulership on earth. There are 150 chapters in the Bible that teach about this part of the gospel that is hidden from our understanding. May God open the eyes of ministers, teachers and members of the church so that we know what is to come. A few of these passages have had a partial fulfillment, but how we long for the fulfillment is his prophetic Word.
It is a fact that when Jesus returns to this earth, he is going to kill kings and armies who are against him and it is that point that he will place those he choses to rule nations. This is such an offense to believers who want to cling to the Messiah as a baby in the manger and the suffering servant on the cross, but the truth is that Jesus is coming back as a Warrior King.

@@robertscott9539 how can the law that was called perfect and good and righteous and a lamp to my feet, be a curse? Don't you get it? It's not the law that's a curse, it's the consequences for breaking it that is a curse. The Bible says the law is a blessing and a curse. A blessing to those that follow the law, and a curse to those that disregard the law and live according to the flesh. How to untwist the minds that Satan himself has twisted can only be accomplished through scripture.
Paul converted many jews, many pharisies, priest, he proved through scripture(the Torah and book of the prophets) that Jesus is the messiah. He could do this because he did not preach against the law or the seat of moses.
Read Acts 6 verses 12,13,14. Pay close attention to verse 13 where it says FALSE witnesses. This is where we are first introduced to Saul. You see the early Christians, apostles, never taught contrary to the Torah or the prophets, but because of FALSE witnesses, they thought they did and the penalty for teaching against the Torah was death by stoning. This is why Paul persecuted the Christians, it's because he also believed false witnesses, until Jesus set him straight.

And whether we are sinning against God’s commands is our judge, not individuals personal convictions, based off where God has placed them. 7 ¶ But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
12 ¶ Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
It’s done away with and abolished.
Gal 3:19 ¶ Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
      It was added until when?

Salvation, justification, forgiveness, and all things comparable are provided us exclusively by God's grace via the blood-atoning sacrifice and resurrection of Christ. Praise Yahweh! This fact, however, does not mean that Christ abolished His Father's morality as reflected in His Ten Commandments and their respective statutes and judgments as society's standard--God forbid!
These are two different issues entirely. The first has to do with the remnant's individual salvation, the second with whose ethics God intends for us to govern our lives. As to the latter, it's quite clear where the Apostles Paul and John stood on the matter, as reflected in the following New Testament passages:
“…truth [is] in the law.” (Romans 2:20)
“…by the law is the knowledge of sin.” (Romans 3:20)
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” (Romans 3:31)
“Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” (Romans 7:12)
“Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Romans 8:7)
“Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.” (1 Corinthians 7:19)
“But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully.” (1 Timothy 1:8)
“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.” (1 John 2:3)
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” (1 John 3:4)
“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.” (1 John 5:2)
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3)
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
    (Revelation 12:17)

This is a good video 😁 lots of good points to consider. Faith is displayed in obedience not only to the Law but to the Holy Spirit. But I have a warning for you... the greatest commandment was love God and the second is like it love your neighbor as yourself. On these two hang the whole message of the Bible. I heard nothing of love in this message. The problem with the Hebrews in the Old Testament and in the gospels was that they were focused on obedience and not love. Truth without love will always lead to self righteousness! Love without truth isn’t love! So watch out for your pride and self righteousness! I grew up in a similar church to yours and I know what it does to people and have been a product of that environment.
When Jesus said in Matthew chapter 5 that we are the salt and light it wasn’t a statement of being but rather of purpose. The Hebrews never got the message that this message was for the world not just them.
So I would admonish you to make love your goal and faith with obedience a result of the love. And quit showing off your tattoos 🤪 wearing a hoodie and rolling your sleeves up is a sign of pride 🤯 overall a well put together message and it was very interesting to listen to 😁

I would argue, they actually don't, at all.
For Jesus told us what marriage is, between a man and a woman, and any sexual relations outside of marriage is sin. So just by using the New Testament you can demonstrate that sex with animals is sin bc sex is only right in the context of marriage between a man and a woman.

So did Jesus fulfill all of the law or has not one jot passed?
That’s an all or nothing statement friend. Either all has been fulfilled or not one jot has passed. Do you sacrifice animals or has it been fulfilled? If you don’t follow the letter of the law in sacrifices but in faith in Christ as the fulfillment then why would you go to the letter of the law rather than the fulfillment in any of the 612 other commandments?
Do you keep the Sabbath or do you rest from the works of the law in Christ?
Do you circumcise your foreskin or did Jesus circumcise your heart?
Do you prevent yourself from murdering others or do you have the love of Jesus in your heart that is willing to lay down your life for others?
Do you have to prevent yourself from stealing or do you have the love of Christ that prompts you to give to those who have need?
Rom 13:8 ¶ Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 ¶ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 ¶ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
      1Tim 1:8 ¶ But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
      10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
2Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
What is Paul saying is done away with and abolished?
It’s the letter of the law. We follow the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads you into righteous living bearing fruit. The law was an attempt to prevent you from doing evil. When you’re bearing fruit, you won’t be doing evil. It’s fulfilled.
The letter of the law never worked. It caused spiritual death. Read Romans 7.

@@evanu6579 again, no one is justified before God by works of the law. You should know that. No one is made right by their works or keeping of the law. God’s law is however just and righteous. Would you call the American justice system more just than God’s law? Do you believe God is honored when babies are legally murdered in America without justice done to the murderer?

I appreciate you Jeff ... However in Isaiah 65....and in chapter 66:15 till the end... Eating swine's flesh and other unclean foods is still abominable to YHVH. And He is going to punish His people for that. Christians better take note. I don't agree that bacon/pork is acceptable food. Yeshua never ate it... And if He is Messiah....how come Christians can have another standard to live by... But yet when He comes and sets up His kingdom... All have to obey His Law.

The only Word of God they had was the Torah and the rest of the Old Testament. The word "meats" in verse 3 is the Strong's word broma which means 'food, especially articles allowed or forbidden by Jewish law' . So from this understanding, no amount of prayer can make pork or shellfish, etc clean for consumption. The Word of God, which they had... Only sanctified certain foods as expounded in Leviticus 11.

In that case, Jews of today would automatically be invalidated because the Torah commands sacrifice for sin. Concerning Jeff Durbin's teaching from 53:55 to 55:54 about the Law being fulfilled instead of being abolished :
Whenever a teacher presents Jesus' teaching that he did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill the Law (Matthew 5 : 17 -19) he does his audience a disservice if he does not present Hebrews 8 : 13 also.
    Here is Hebrews 8 : 13
*"By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear."*
Notice in Matthew 5 : 17 - 19 that Jesus said "...not an iota not a dot shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished."
Now notice in Hebrews 8 : 13 we know the Law (the first covenant) was soon to pass around the time the letter to the Hebrews was written.
So when did the Law / the Mosaic covenant / the first covenant disappear?
When did an iota or a dot pass from the Law?
The first covenant (The Law / the Mosaic covenant) disappeared in 70 AD when Jesus destroyed the temple in Jerusalem.
The Law passed away when Jesus totally fulfilled everything in the Law at 70 AD and everything was accomplished.
How do we know this is true? Let's look at what Jesus said in Luke 21 : 20 - 22.
    Luke 21 : 20 - 22
“When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. *For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written."*
Please give attention to the fact Jesus said the destruction of Jerusalem would take place during *"the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written."*
This matches up perfectly with Jesus saying the Law would pass away when *"all is accomplished"* (Matthew 5 : 17 - 19)
So with all that has been written being fulfilled in 70 AD we know that the Law passed away just like the writer of Hebrews prophesied would happen.

A New Covenant and administration does not mean a new standard of morality. As Jeff pointed out, we have a high priest (Jesus), we have a temple (our bodies) and we have a Sacrifice (Jesus). Biblical morality is based on God’s righteousness and justice and is therefore imutable. If it was wrong to have sex with an animal back then, it is wrong now. If murder is a crime then, it is a crime now. Or simply because the NT never says the government should punish murder, you think it’s okay to let murderers go free because I guess God doesn’t care about justice anymore? If it is just to execute a criminal back then (as the Bible says so prior to Sinai, at Sinai, after Sinai, and all throughout the NT), it will always be just now.
Answer my question. Does the Bible say that God cares about justice for a believer to act righteously and be sanctified? Does the Bible not also teach a Christian in all righteousness?

Here is my answer to your question : Yes, the Bible does say God cares about justice. The Bible does say a believer is to act righteously and be sanctified. The Bible also teaches a Christian in all righteousness. So all believers must care about justice like God does. All believers are to act righteously and be sanctified. All believers are to learn and live in all righteousness from what God says to us in the Bible.
Much of the Mosaic covenant is repeated in the new covenant, but not all of it.
When the new covenant says to be sexually pure, it is repeating the sexual standards found in the Law, but sexual morality is even more strict in the new covenant than the the old covenant. Men are not to even look lustfully at a woman.
Divorce laws in the new covenant are more strict than the divorce laws in the Law which allowed divorce for reasons other than sexual immorality.
Dietary laws are not the same in the new covenant as the old covenant. We have the freedom to eat pork and lobsters now.
Nine of the ten commandments are repeated in the new covenant. Keeping the Sabbath is the one not repeated.
The new covenant says capital punishment is the correct punishment for murder just like the Law says.
Jesus said his words would never pass away. This means the new covenant will always be binding.
The new covenant is forever while the old covenant / the Law was soon to disappear when the letter to the Hebrews was written.
The scriptures plainly tell us the Mosaic covenant was outdated and obsolete when the letter to the Hebrews was written.

Gal 6;2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
      Was the of Moses grievous?......
Matt 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees 👉🏻sit in Moses' seat:👈🏻
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For 👉🏻they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, 👈🏻and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
They taught the law but wouldn’t do the law themselves. They would bind heavy burdens on men’s shoulders but wouldn’t lift them with one finger. That’s the law.
Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
That’s what Peter said about the law. He called it a yoke that they couldn’t bear.
Gal 4:20 I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.
21 ¶ Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
Gal 5;1 ¶ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Paul called it a yoke of bondage.
So what law is John referring to? The law of Christ is stated at the end of the chapter and the context between the statement of “transgressing the law is sin” and the commandments of Christ is about what it means to keep the commandments of Christ.

@@evanu6579 God bless you too Evan, i have no intention too follow the law because it only brings death. I have tried it, but no salvation can be found in it. Only the blood of Christ can save and once you truly believe this you get true freedom. The law was given to make sure people will understand it can never be the reason you are right with God. David was not right with God because he followed the law. He did many things that deserve death according to the law, yet Jesus testified on his behalf and told us he was a profet and right with God.
Not one human has ever been able to be right with God by the law, it has only condemned them. But God has given us the way out in Jesus Christ, His only Son. He has paid the price that comes from breaking the law while being totally innocent. And His blood spilled is sufficient for all humans to be saved just by believing in the Son. That is all, now i am sure when you believe in Christ you will try to be as far away from sin as you can. But when you believe, the law can not condemn you anymore. I also would like to remind all of what has been said in Acts 15 verse 19 - 20. The outcome of the dispute about keeping true to the law.
Paul also says alot about this in Romans. In my opinion it bassicly comes down to the fact that there is no wrong way when you truly love God with all your heart, all your strength and all of your soul. And that is why we should never judge because only God knows the heart. The man most righteous in human eyes can be condemned by God, and the one being the most condemned in human eyes can be redeemed by God. We know not His ways for they are absolute truth and knowledge. And we possess none of those. All we need to do is keep our eyes focussed on Jesus just like the Jews looked up to the staff that Mozes held up and we will be saved by Him.
God bless brothers and sisters, may the return of Jesus be a wonderfull day for us.

The 1689 LBCF does not contain the term "new covenant", because it ignores Hebrews 8:6-13. It claims we are still under the 4th commandment by ignoring Colossians 2:16-17.
Why did Paul compel the Galatian believers to "cast out" the Sinai Covenant of "bondage" in Galatians 4:24-31?
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18, but are come instead to the New Covenant of Mount Sion in Hebrews 12:22-24.
In Matthew chapter 5 Christ contrasts the Old Covenant to the New Covenant by quoting from the Old Covenant and then adding "But I say...".
Who is the master teacher promised in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and found fulfilled in 1 John 2:27?

If you think the point of the passage is that Jesus was usurping Gods dietary commands I respectfully disagree. Acts 10 is entirely about not calling Gentiles unclean using something Peter knew was unclean to make the point. The lesson is about how to view Gentiles, not food. Anyhow, that's how I see it and if you see it differently then I'm not out to change your mind. @@Humblepye I appreciate your posting. There is a difference in salvation and why we have an Old and New Testament correct? Our salvation is a result in what Jesus did on the Cross, paying for the sin of the world. The Law is now written in our hearts. When one is "born again" we are now led of the Spirit. You know it's not good to kill, or steal, or commit adultery simply by what's in your heart, with the Lord. We no longer need anyone to tell us what is right or wrong. Jesus said
to love the Lord with all our mind, heart and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. On these Two hang all the Law. So that is what I try to follow. Salvation is now sealed in the Holy Spirit within us. Sanctification is what we may confuse things with, growing in the Lord. Paul's and John's and Peter's letters are about sanctification, growing in the Grace of our Lord.

Yes, Jesus said "go and sin no more" but He was simply saying "learn from this". He died for her sin as much as anyone else's. Of course all men are sinners. That's why the Law was given, to show we can't keep it, but Jesus did. Jesus is the end of the Law to anyone who turns to Him and accepts His sacrifice, not our works of it. The Pharisees had that mindset, that they can get and keep their salvation by the Law. And, just to add, Jesus Himself freed me by reading the book of Galatians. Romans also is good on it.
