You can just stay moderately hopeful to not hope too much from this. This avoids being deceived by your own expectations. I don't understand why being deceived by (or even blaming for some) something that has never been confirmed if we keep in mind it might just have never existed.

So 2 versions of Xenosaga 2 basically? A remaster of the original version and a remake version? I can see why they would do a remaster because Xenosaga is quite forgotten, not very popular nowadays. So a remaster to refresh people's mind would be a welcome addition. Now my theory is that the reason to release a remake would be to retcon things to tie down Xenosaga and Xenoblade together just like they retconed few things with Xenoblade Definitive Edition. So this way you can have the original and the modern version that would connect the whole Xeno series. I don't see another reason to do it. And the reason to release episode 2 and not 1 is obvious because that's the only episode that released internationaly if I'm not mistaken so this episode has the most chance to get attention and bring nostalgia. Now it's still pretty awkward to have only a second game in a trilogy that is very connected between the titles from what I know. So even if we get it, I don't see how people who never played it could understand anything about it. That's still a strange decision even though there is some fair justifications for it.

You forgot to include monolithsoft adding a new funky mode where you can play as funky kong in saga 2 and it gives you an optional hidden ending.
