  • Wow... its been over a month! Are we slowing down already?
Alright... so this is a rainy-day song about love and assumptions. It's definitely for the more melancholic attitude... the doomer.
It came together when I heard a string loop that my better half had made using the Mellotron plug-in within her MPC ONE. It was a bit challenging to collaborate on for a while because her loop was 160 steps... and most of us work hexadecimal system... which wasn't working for the beats.
So, I eventually worked at making percussion patterns of 40 steps each, so that it would evenly factor within her 160 step loop.
    Used in this track...
Korg Drumlogue and Elektron Model Samples shared beat duty on this one.
Akai MPC-ONE was the brain of the Korg Volca NuBass and Cre8audio East Beast, while also providing Mellotron, Solina and Odyssey passages as well.
The Korg Volva Nubass provided droney bass duty, while the East Beast added a similar accent in a higher register.
The Polyend Play provided the Garland... which really seemed to align with the emotion of the track.
This track was recorded through the M-Audio 194|14 interface into Ableton Live. The video was shot by an old Android phone hanging on a light fixture.
DaVinci Resolve was used to sync the video with the audio.
Cheers from the land of Delco!

My wife was just saying the same thing! We might have a house-sitter/dog-sitter in the works...
We're also working on replicating things on fewer pieces of equipment so that show-runners and the audience won't have to wait for us to fumble with setting stuff up and complaining about technical difficulties.
Things were much easier in the old laptop-battel days!! Setup consisted of bringing a laptop with Ableton and that was that! But I had to complicate things with actual gear!!
But we are working on it!
      Cheers!

      HA! We have hits?
Averaging at 10 minutes a track, I guess we'd have to make a double-disc set for each release... or we can try to rein it in.. and try making more concise tracks.
There's a few I want to revisit and make them tighter... better...
Looking back, there were a few where I kinda wish we would have fleshed out our ideas more before deciding to record anything... but honestly... given the saturation of TH-cam, BandCamp, Spotify, Reddit, etc... even though we obviously liked our ideas... at the time, I don't think either of us ever really thought this stuff would get any traction.
In the works: We're working on this track where we sample some Aleister Crowley into a dark techno track. I'm also trying my hand at a few more extreme noise/breakcore concepts.
And with that being said... would all of these tracks fit under one name, or should the more chill/ambient/brooding long compositions be under one project name, the more experimental-pop-oriented stuff be under a different name... and the more brutal/harsh shit be under third?
Or just say fuckit... and put it all under one name?
One would think I would have figure'd this out by now... considering I used to be halphwit.bandcamp.com/music
      Cheers!

    Greetings from MontCo
I'm doing an electro synth noise thing.
Would like to make music or do a PA house show with you. Interested?

Whats Up Montco!! This is Delco!! Monto is in the House!!
Alright... got that outta the way.
Where you at? I briefly lived in Bryn Mawr many moons ago!
My/Our interest in both prospects is definitely piqued.
RE: Synth-noise... what were you thinking? Something abrasive like Whitehouse, Merzbow, or Prurient?
RE: House-show... it will take a bit of time to take a selection of our tracks and kraft those into a set... especially because some things were done at various points of gear aquisition.
Unless I just 'phone-it-in' by DJing a bunch of stuff via Ableton and my old USB controller. Actually, its been a while since I did that, so even that might take a bit of time to put together something quality.. especially with everyone's favorite pagan holiday coming up!
So its not outta the question... but its gonna take a few weeks to a maybe a month to put together something memorable and proper. I guess we should start thinking about building a couple of sets on a few consistent grooveboxes.
It was also recommended that we connect with The Low Pass and the Fire Museum... both in Philly. I should probably get on that too.
      Cheers!

I live in Pottstown, I used to live in Conshohocken. Not sure if I would make music that aggressive, much more melodic is something I'm after. Would be cool to Jam together. Go to my about me section, my email is there. Let's be in touch!
