When we look back at the societies of antiquity, its easy to see how we've come to this point. Primitive barbarism reigned supreme until some barbarian's figured out how to split the atom. And now we have atomic barbarism.
No, we don't all have our jetpacks, or rocket-cars... the 'future technology' of reality was quite different than what Hollywood promised. But, the development of artificial technology was inevitable.
This song is about living in the intersection of technology and biology, hierarchy and humanity. As one who makes music using electronic instruments, I can sense the irony at having any perspective on artificial intelligence. It is the logical step in technology's progression. But for now, I remain one of the living.. so that is where my point-of-view originates.
To make this track, the following needed to happen:
The Akai MPC One was used as the "Brain" to sequence the Roland SH-4d and the Korg Volca NuBass.
The SH-4d provided four layers of glistening synthesis while the NuBass provided the low-end.
The Korg Dumlogue and Polyend Play were tempo-synced to the MPC One.
The Drumlogue provided the beats, while the Play provided the words.
Oh yeah... the MPC also added some four-on-the-floor.
The contents of these five grooveboxes/synths was recorded via the M-Audio 192|14 interface into Ableton. Ableton was used to create the MP3/WAV files. The footage was shot using an old Android phone suspended from a ceiling fan.
NOTE: No A.I. was used in the creation of this track... or any. Hopefully that always remains the case.
Oops... I meant... All hail our A.I. overlords.

Well, it's good to have you here!!
As you are no doubt aware... it's an uphill battle on a very steep incline. I'm open to any suggestions for other approaches! Perhaps I'll ask my more introverted better-half take over the 'outreach'.
