Thanks Phil, unfortunately the GoPro flattens everything but when I was standing at the foot of the north ridge I was really like...how the heck am I supposed to get up there 😂😂😂
Once again a great video,. Well filmed and no bull. Looked a tiring one. Really enjoyed it Stripey. I'm working my way through your content as I love Scotland and especially the Highlands.👍
Yes, I was quite unaware of the ridge. Too late for me now as I’m no longer capable of doing the hills; never actually did those Munros in my 220 as I always thought there were more interesting ones. Did a lot around Glencoe but repeated most of the celebrated ones and missed these. Surprises me that you carry the stick on scrambly bits but is that the camera? Also quite surprised the way you used the sticks on descent with a heavy bag. Always found it a great help descending with a heavy bag for the right pole to hit the ground just before the left foot and vice versa. Maybe you need a free hand for the camera. I never wanted to worry about a camera while moving; I was fully occupied staying on my feet!
Great video & route so many times I have done the same thing carry over night gear then weather or mood changes or you keep going on looking for a better camp spot until your 2 hours from car at 5.00 pm and think let’s just go home to a hot bath a dram and comfy bed
Thanks a lot Gary! Is just so much on my wish list that I can't see the forest because of all the trees. was in the Alps almost easier after all the years 😂😂😂
Hi Paul, absolutely and thanks for watching! Need to say so that yours look really nice as well, so still on my Glencoe-Wish- List. Somehow my Wish-List in general gets just bigger and bigger 😂
You asked a question and gave your opinion re comparing relatively easy going with more complex terrain such as scrambling and how you felt. I do agree with you. I guess whilst you are fully focused on the scramble you are less aware of how much height you have gained or still have to gain, similarly unless weather conditions are awful then I’d say you are less aware of them than when on an easy walk when you have time to think about how far you have to go/poor weather. However I would also say that as I have aged I find it easier to deal with those long stretches when you just want to get there.
Thanks a lot for your reply Charles! Excellent explanation, makes absolutely sense! What I think is really interesting that you observed that the long stretches feel easier - for me it is particular bad when I did a tour already before and I have the feeling that I already know every stone... Thanks a lot Charles! ATB Stripey
I definitely struggled more with the long stretches when I was younger. Frustration/impatience at not getting to the goal? I’m not sure why they don’t feel so bad these days. Maybe short term memory loss means I can’t remember that I have already been walking for ages on one particular stretch 😂😂🤣. I think it is more to do with being able to switch off and think about other things. Whatever the reasons it definitely is enjoyable tackling scramble type routes that keep your focus. I am certainly enjoying your videos as they are very encouraging to try out new routes. I also consider your videoing techniques to be very good viewing. So thanks so much for all the sharing you do.
Hi Craig141281, it is a really nice scramble hope you enjoy it! Well what can I say, I am actually no Munro bagger at all - just like to scramble, wild camp,... - but there are still a lots of scrambles left I want to do in Glencoe/Blackmounts 👍
Did the same route except I dropped down the chairlift. It’s a decent scramble - not in the same league as Curved Ridge - but it’s quiet and feels more adventurous in some ways.
Hi Richard yeah it depends probably which route you take. The route I took was also easier than the curved ridge but as always so many possible ways! 👍
If you liked the video or just want to support the channel, leave me a thumbs up, comment or even subscribe!

You know it's going to be a good video when Stripey opens the video with "it looks a bit intimidating" 😂😂👍

Great camera work Stripey. Felt I climbed it with you. Now for a hard earned rest, and on to the next video. 😂
Thank you very much Kevin! The coming weekend looks promising 😄🙌👍
Give me grippy rock over slippy grass every day of the week! Great video man!
Hi Scott, absolutely! Thanks a lot 😊
Oh dear god, this video gives me flashbacks to when I did it in full winter conditions a few years ago……….I’ve never been so scared in all my life!!
Haven’t done it in winter, but can completely understand it 😂👍
Once again a great video,. Well filmed and no bull. Looked a tiring one. Really enjoyed it Stripey. I'm working my way through your content as I love Scotland and especially the Highlands.👍
Thank you very much Jim! Was pretty much done when I arrived at the car 😂
Thanks a lot for watching!

That was a great route and considering most probably go via the ski resort this looks to be a very much more interesting approach. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot Charles! Yeah most folks go up the ski resort route, but Creise has such much more to offer 🙂👍
Thanks for watching!

Meall a’ Bhuiridh has become my go to quick camp location. Nice place to watch the world drift by.
@@sauntersstravaigs8789 ok, would imagine that it is quite busy up there due to the lift. Is it like that?
Not after 5pm@@StripeyHatGuy. The day trippers have all gone down by that point as the lift stops around 4pm.
@@sauntersstravaigs8789 yeah makes actually sense, thanks mate! 🙌👍

Alright mate, we are off to do this scramble this weekend. Looks like a lot of fun. Are you still working through the Glen Coe munros?

@@StripeyHatGuy No worries, we love a good scramble as well. Maybe see you on the hills sometime.
Perfect! The chances are pretty high that we will meet each other at some point 😊 - wish you a great tour! ATB Stripey

The fact that you do these holding a camera on a pole the whole way.....
