It is considered an honor to be insulted by Don Rickles
Facts!😂😂😂
I’m 25 years of age, I grew up watching don with my grandpa and honestly can say he was the furthest thing from a racist, everybody knew it back then it wasn’t even a question, he was my grandpas hero, they didn’t call him mr warmth for nothing. This really was the golden era, what a time to be alive ❤️
I remember when Denzel Washington was on The Late Show With David Letterman the same night don Rickles was on. Denzel was on first, and rather than leaving when his interview was finished as guests usually do, he stayed on stage because he was a big fan of Don Rickles and wanted to meet him. When he came out, Rickles teased Denzel about the story he told Dave about how he got the name Denzel (he was named after his father who was named after the doctor who delivered him, but the doctor's name was pronounced DENzel instead of denZEL), and he accused Dave of making Denzel stay to sweep up after the show. Denzel was having the time of his life.
I saw that. It was hilarious. Denzel was hysterical. He couldn't stop laughing.
@@nadinemarie3811 Same here. Denzel was digging it.
Denzel around Don was like I would imagine myself to act around denzel😂 in awe
It's all about context. Don Rickles loved all the people he joked on. It was his style and everyone laughed and knew what was up
My dad was seated next to Redd Foxx on a 4 hr flight and said it was the most fun and memorable flight he had or ever will have in his lifetime. He said that Redd was just a genuinely nice and funny man.
A very generous man too.
Yes he was.
I went an saw him in Atlantic City back in 2011/12. I tried my best to get in his "shrapnel zone", but i came up short. The tickets were getting pretty steep up front, and I wound up in the middle of row three. He attacked the guy right in front of me, and the guy on the Isle seat in my row. Everyone looked forward to being insulted by him.

In 1968, on an episode of “The Tonight Show (Starring Johnny Carson)” on NBC, a demonstration of a Japanese bath and a Japanese massage by two female Japanese masseuses was taking place.
Don Rickles made a surprise appearance on the show during the segment, with HILARIOUS re
…results. The segment is available for viewing here on TH-cam.
Type in “Johnny Carson Japanese Bath 1969” in the Search line.
Thank you my friend I’m always looking for new don content, it pains me to look back at that era thinking they are all gone, what a group of absolute legends in some of those roasts 🤯🔥🔥🔥
I laughed at my mother falling down, so....
Read was funny AND dirty as hell!
You need to watch Rickles on Johnny Carson. Or on the Dean, Martin Roast.and Rickles didn't really tell jokes. He just read the room and destroyed people in fun.
He'd destroy people, but he told jokes as well, but it was more of crude jokes. It was the fact that he did not care when he was up there lol. THOSE were funny too. He had a joke about himself being Cochise and his wife as the fortress.
Most fun was watching you. My favorite comedians of all time are Robin Williams and Tim Conway. They were crazy geniuses.
Everyone back then knew he wasn't serious. All of the Big stars whether they were Black, Jewish, Hispanic whatever laughed. He wouldn't have lasted 60 years in the business, if people thought that he was racist or a mean person. It's more of a reflection on today's population, and how "uptight" people are these days. Young people are flat-out ignorant. Lighten up people.
Everyone knew what was in his heart
Don and Katt are my faves.
Redd Foxx was a fav of my parents, but I was never allowed to hear him. His language was not for kids.
Also, Bob Newhart was some great phone calls, such as publicist for Abe Lincoln.
Roy D Mercer is funny, he makes prank calls.
I love Don Rickles.
❤😂🎉
As a Jew, he'd ask Muslims to stand up, turn around, and take a bow and that the religious war was all baloney. Then he'd dive on the ground and say "READY AIM FIRE!!" or just make machine gun noises in the mic lol. That's what I understand with that joke.
Check out 'Foster Brooks Roasts Don Rickles'...foster's trademark is being the party 'Drunk'...but he never drank a drop of alcohol in his life..Don Rickles really gets roasted by Foster
Nice to see ya laugh, MMB.
You might take a look at Phyllis Diller she had the same since of humor also take a look at Bob Newhart different humor but funny
The picture was such poor quality that it took me a few minutes to figure out that was Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams! I remember when they did those shows to raise $$$ for something or other. 😂😅
You need to check out the videos of Dean Martin's roasts. Don Rickles shows up in some of those, too. But Dean Martin is funny as well . . . just in a different way than Rickles. 😂 You would also love Dean Martin's singing, too. Classic crooner style and he has so much fun with his songs. Always loved Dean over the other members of the Rat Pack. Liked the others but Dean was definitely my favorite for sure! ❤❤❤😂😅😊
Dean was what you called purely an entertainer. He could do so many things, and that was that ending vaudeville style back then. What worked for him was the drunk act with his personality. Fantastic singer, funny as hell comedian. Sammy Davis was a hell of an entertainer, but more in the class of a hoofer, but he did so many things so well. Probably the best dancer out of them all. Great impersonator. With all of that, he knew how to sing. Frank was moreso a singer than anything else. Dean wasn't a trained singer. Both Bing Crosby and Dean Martin were just crooners. Frank studied it much more.
Good video! Keep going!
The audio was poor quality. Hard to make out what Rickles was saying.
Hey brother there is million road to be discovered .
It’s called comedy.
buckle up cream puffs
Search....Gilbert Gottfried roasts Joan Rivers......or Sam Kinison
Watch the full roast of Sammy Davis Jr.
racoon for that thumbnail
Right after people grow a pair, they meed to grow a sense of humor!
Was the funniest bigot ever !!!! Liked him better as he aged , toned down the anti black stuff
He was basically that ADHD kid that had no filter in class, that laughed at the most immature stuff that happened TO people. He knew racism was a bunch of horseshit. He mocked the shit out of the idea.
This is not his best or his most offensive...
