Don Rickles said to Sinatra, "Frank, I'm going to be meeting a very beautiful girl for dinner downstairs and I want to make out with her. Would you come over to the table and introduce yourself?" So before he goes on to perform, Sinatra goes down to the restaurant where Rickles is with the girl. He walks over to the table to introduce himself, and Don says, "What's The Matter, Frank? Can't You See I'm Busy?!!" Frank told this story on a Dean Martin Roast program, when either he or Don was the one being roasted by the other crew of big celebrity guests.

Sinatra didn't tell it on his roast. He said it on Carson though with Don being there.
The story is Don was over at a fancy restaurant with his date. She spots Frank Sinatra. "Do you think you can introduce me to him?" He says, "Are you kidding? Personal friend of mine!" So Don went over. "Frank. I'm sitting with a very pretty girl. I'm trying to make out. If you could say Hi to me, I'm set. But don't come over right away!" He said, "You got it!" The violins already made the romantic atmosphere. Frank came over from the bathroom. "Don. How are you?" Don got up, "FRANK! FOR GOD'S SAKES!! CAN'T YOU SEE I'M WITH PEOPLE?? HOW DO I KNOW IF YOUR ALBUM IS GONNA SELL?? LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Frank and the lady were shocked by the whole thing. He sent for the security guards to carry Don over their heads and out of the place.

21:22, when he says to Mr. T. "listen for a clock," he's referring to a time bomb.
Even though Rickles was known as an insult comic, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who had a bad word to say about him. At the end of every one of his shows he had a speech he would give explaining how it was all in good fun and he holds no animosity toward anyone. RIP, Don.

Actually, Don loved his victims and they loved him. It was an honor to be insulted by Don. You know the guy who stood up and told Don, "You say spade one more time and there'll be troops in front of your door tomorrow."? That was comedian Nipsy Russell. There's another video online of Nipsy roasting Don. In those days, there was a fun back and forth among all these big stars. It was so much fun to watch, and they were all friends. By the way, you said you recognized the one guy in the audience. I think you were talking about McLean Stevenson, who was the original mand in charge on the TV series, Mash. He was Colonel Henry Blake.

My favorite, of many of Don's moments, was when Frank was being roasted and Don said, from what my poor memory will remember: Come in Frank. Make yourself at home. You know: punch someone.
He'd also guest hosted The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson was the host. There was an infamous cigarette holder that Don broke and when Johnny found out, he went to where Don was filming McHale's Navy and raised hell with him (probably just for fun). When Johnny would have Burt Reynolds on, it would always devolve into uncontrollable laughing.
These roasts were when it wasn't mean and fun spirited. (And check out Kelly's Hero's to see what you think.)

I believe that you were referring to the word, “eponymous”. It is a reference to something with the same name, word, or title.
Don Rickles starred in the 1970s NBC comedy series, “C.P.O. Sharkey”, portraying the eponymous title character.
C.P.O. is shorthand for Chief Petty Officer. In the US Navy, it is an equivalent rank to a Sergeant in the US Army or US Marine Corps.
“C.P.O. Sharkey” was a comedic look at an “old-school” non-commissioned officer, who was dealing with the changes taking place in the US Navy that were taking place during the Ford and Carter Administrations.

Good reaction. FYI - that guy in the audience that you thought you recognized around the 12:48 mark was McLean Stevenson of M.A.S.H fame. I see you had a reaction when Clint Eastwood appeared With Don insulting him. Don Mentioned "Kelly's Heros", for it was a movie that they did together. It was a good movie you should check out. For also, in it, was Telly Savalas, Carroll O'Connor, Donald Sutherland, Gavin MacLeod, Stuart Margolin, all who gave good performances as well. It was a 1970 war comedy film directed by Brian G. Hutton. But the comedy was more like real life comedy. So, it was more like a serious action-adventure movie with comical moments. And at the end part of the movie, there is a spoof of Clint's movie, "the Good, the Bad and the Ugly". I really think there is a good chance you will like it. If I have judged your personality right.

There’s a difference between saying something in the proper venue as a comedian and some dip shit making fun of other races as they walk down the street and then “it’s just a joke” defence. That’s why society changed the way we did and got uptight and over corrected. This type of comedy should ALWAYS be accepted given its in the proper arena/venue
