btw idk if your aware of this, but the proper way to say 'im American but I live in Senegal" would be "أنا أمريكي ولكني في السنغال" ❤

The biggest problem is that learning a difficult language takes an enormous amount of time. Finding enough time is really hard when you are interested in many different things. I would recommend people start with learning an easier language like Esperanto. There you can see results in a reasonable amount of time and you will understand how languages work differently. Learning further languages will then not be as daunting.

I prefer methods such as spacial repetition, context-based practice, and making sure I have good resources!
