Recently bought Ather 450 Plus Gen 3. Customer service response is fantastic. Had faulty indicator which was fixed with OTA update. Great community support via forum. Intuitive switchgear. Predictable dynamics. Easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Reliable software. Ride comfort and seating ergonomics for taller people needs improvement. Filling air in tyres is difficult due to L shaped Nozzles. Peace of mind of having public chargers throughout the city. Predicted range is reliable for solo rides. Drops quite a bit with pillion. Good riding habits can give you up to 15% more range for solo rides. Hassle free scooter. Highly recommend it.
No offence, but it's way too tiny, toyish and girly for me. And I am not even 6 feet !

I have 1 Ather 450X and 2 Ola S1 Pro between my wife and siblings. Ola is much better value for money and more right size especially for taller people.

Bro I hv ola i am gone sale it bcoz of its sudden range drop and i am gona buy ather what will you do with the features if you don't hv the power my father was strucked 3-4 times after full charge and to cover only 65km range in eco only we contact ola but they didn't solve the problem

sir you missed headlights, i own ather throw is not so good, i dont know olas but majorly athers light fails with near throw is very poor. specially in city i find it not bright enough.

For a village area considering slightly bad roads and less tech availability, Ather seems to be winner with its near perfect hardware and less buddy software.🔥
I achieve around 20-24wh/km on my Ather everyday. Once u can learn to properly ride an EV, range wont be an issue :)

Ola with moveOS3 is awesome
Seating comfort is far better in ola s1 pro. It's like sitting in a squatting position on ather seat for the driver as the foot board is very high and would cause abnormal pain in tail bone. Although ather is good on looks
With dust and water proof belt drive, good seat and suspension, ok performance on ride mode, etc. It's better to choose ola s1 pro!
Was looking forward to 2 important comparisons, which were not covered... (1) heating issue in ola va ather and (2) hill climb... Please clarify these 2 points.
Athers hill climbing is very effortless, i have seen ola struggling, and with pillion ather is far superior. I have no problem even in eco mode. If you concerned with heating i think go with ather anyday, its safe have fan cooling, olas got passive cooling no fan only simple heat transfer from hot battery to cold portion of exposed metal.
@@saurabhwagh2511 Ather battery doesn’t have fan. Fan is for the motor.
It’s not heating issue, but an arrangement to reduce the peak performance when temperature, SOC reaches certain level. In Normal mode Ola can still take you to 80kmph. It’s absolutely nuts to label safety mechanism as heating issue by some media.
Ather is unnecessarily expensive upfront and at service as well
Pardon for your half knowledge s1pro won't struggle on hilly areas even with 200kg weight no Heating issue at all
There was system bug on 1.0.16 update later on it got fixed in 2.0 and there is 3.0 which have increased performance... ( Using beta 3.0)
1. Centre stand is missing in both.
2. No backrest in both.
I am an Ola user and found 1) password unlocking is not useful, 2) regenerative braking should be optional.
Buddy step and centre stand available now on the website and app

You need to review the latest software from Ather. Maps are totally redone with vector maps which perform excellent in Gen3 at least. Also, the UI is redesigned.
Honestly Ola is better than Ather. I respect the diplomacy but i have to weigh in more for OLA because it is got better software and features than ather. This is my personal opinion. Considering all the test rides and experience centres of the popular EVs. Ola is the best and top of the line.
Keep in mind that you are buying a scooter and not a phone.
Ola is not reliable in terms of both hardware and software.
Conclusion: Both EVs are good, but I will be considered stupid to pay 50 K more with less features in Ather

No both are different beast. Ola as utility scooter and ather as ice type performance scooter. Ola torque in eco pathetic almost like hero elevtric cannot climb parking in eco mode. At 70-80 speed mileage drop substantial, heating issue still persist even in os 3.0. Ather is pricey but no performance or quality issue
Ola is highly unreliable. It is plagued with problem such as sudden range drop, static range drop, etc.
Excellent video as always. I always love Atulji n teams' frankness. I got the S1Pro from Ola after a really long time where I felt its pluses were more than the minuses and it is vfm.

*How did you guys miss the subscription price part? It makes a huge difference in ownership costs.* Rest almost everything is equal... some here some there.
Ownership Cost of Ather is almost same as that of a Petrol Scooter (to travel BELOW 7,000kms per yr). With NON-Subscription scooter it's 10 times cheaper.
Annual costs for Petrol scooters = ₹10,600 (Petrol @ ₹106 & doing 20kms daily at avg of 50kms/ltr)
*Annual costs for Ather = ₹10,000/yr* (paid monthly). This is even if scooter is not used for 365 days.
*Annual costs for NON-Subscription scooters = ₹1,000/yr.* (Recharging costs)
*Ather is 10times MORE expensive than NON-Subscription eScooters.*
I believe This MINOR PRINT is what people like us should make aware to the LAYMAN... Because unlike a car a scooter is used by slightly economically weaker sections of the society.

You missed one more category which is price. I have booked the Ola over the Ather. Ather is the gold standard for electric scooters in India. More like an iPhone. Ola is more like Android offering more range and customisation in the software at a lower price point. When making the decision to buy I personally feel that the Ather is priced Higher than the competition. So I bought the Ola as it offers more for less.
Ather has many body pieces so, even if accident happens you have to change that particular part.
Meanwhile OLA is a single piece body, so in case of accident whole body changes which is very much costly

Atulji while talking about efficiency you mentioned the numbers in hindi. While most people from South India understand hindi, numbers in hindi are not easily understood like chothees, bakthees. So kindly refer double digit numbers in english.
Can i charge a tvs iqube at any other charging stations like ather? Do i need any connector for it .?
I bought Ather 3rd Gen... It's beautiful. Superb pickup .. And the Sports Mode i use, at 34w/km AVG that gives 100kms in sports mode alone, i didn't understand when you said regen. Kindly explain
You can regen with twisting the throttle in reverse their point is ather twist is very hard than olas

Ather with pillion in ride mode at 50-60 kitna mileage deti ?
@@fakirinvestor8814 depends on style of driving. Once i went from 100% to 60% .. 45 kms in wrap travelled with pillion. On the return ride in was single and was driving faster so used more battery.
Safety concern ather vs ola which are best ?
Being an ola user I would definitely say the things that ola offers in this price is definitely value for money for me .

Using Ola S1 Pro since April 2022, overall good, need software refinement, Overnights battery dropping is a big issue, realtime Wh consumption (efficiency) must in display, scooter is quite heavy to handle, front tyre is unnecessary broad 90/90 be sufficient and may increase range and city riding

I own an ola s1 pro. I like the scooter , in terms of range , power and features. I have only one complain i.e. the overheating of the MCU [ motor control unit] , where by i have to stop the scooter for 15 minutes before continuing in my journey.
I live in Meghalaya which is a hilly state and we have to travel uphill and downhill and if one travel for 5-6 kms uphill, my ola S1 pro will overheat. Hopefully ola will come out with a solution to this issue.

ओला की फ्रंट व बैक डिजाइन मुझे नहीं पसंद है। ओला में सीट के नीचे की जगह अधिक होने से उसकी उपयोगिता बढ़ जाती है।
मेरे विचार से लाइट,इन्डिकेटर्स के लिए अलग से छोटी सी बैटरी होनी चाहिए।
ताकि मेन बैटरी समाप्त होने पर लाइट बंद करने की नौबत कभी न आये ! 😊

Have ola s1 telling truth its eco mode that gives around 100mileagr is practically useless. Cannot even climb underground parking in singles let alone with pillion. Sometimes even in potholes it get stuck with pillion and need to change mode. Range drop in sports mode or higher speed (65-80) is substantial almost like 60-70Km instead of claimed 80-100. 128 km range shown toh bhul hi jao. Max got 108 something at 35-40 eco mode singles. If I had more money would go for ather or tvs.
Main Ather's cons: 1- Height I am not even 6 ft still not able to ride it comfortably
2- overpriced no value for money
only overrated
Paying for Navigation through subscription plans still a lot slow response

Can anyone help me with my wh usage during my ride on s1pro.... Speed 60-65kmph.... Distance 37kms..... Range consumption =distance+3kms(with speed 60-65kmph in normal mode).... Wind is crazy from way.... On highways.

*Awesome comparison* ... Ather people always thought I was being too strict with my review on Ather.
*Ather's Subscription is the worst part* Ola don't need any... till you need some replacement. *HUGE DIFFERENCE.*
Athers subscription price makes it more expensive than ICE scooter fuel+maintenance costs for 20km/day usage... And that's without even adding fast charging costs (which it has kept free till date).
Above all Ather is a 10yr old company and still unsure what kind of people they are targeting... Ola is just a yr old and more quicker to respond with a lower priced vehicle...while Ather still continues to increase price of every new model.
Another factor inspire of big talk Ather's sales has increased very slowly and nothing great to write home about inspite of turning slightly profitable. Ampere has overtaken Ather... which even shocked me.
Both these factors tell a big story of how things will play out in future.

Once while coming home by last local train & riding cycle home ... I was chased by 15 stray dogs... They chased me for more than 100mtrs and I had to ride on the main road in zigzag pattern... Can't forget that night... reminded me of the opening scene from movie Shaan "Shakaal's dogs chasing Sunil Dutt"... Same situation it was for me.
Feed stray cats yaar ... at least they don't bite.

Ather is a well designed and well engineered product. I love that with each update since the 450, they've stayed glued to making their products evolutionary rather than revolutionary. There are certain updates that are impossible to bring it to the 1st gen model, but most of the software updates can still be made which makes even the 1st model stay relevant even today. So, Ather is a great product for long-term ownership. Ola desperately needs to address their quality issues, because there's no use having the features if the usability gets restricted due to the poor quality of technology vested in it.

I’m surprised atulji that you felt that the ather throttle has a delay. I don’t know if it’s your scooter issue but I have both these and the Ola has a very distinct lag in throttle in all modes except hyper mode. Ather is instantaneous after 10Kmph. In Ola there’s a delay even after leaving the throttle. Feels scary at times when I’m on full throttle in sport mode and suddenly let go of the throttle and the scooter continues to accelerate for a split second.

You guys forget to compare the price of ather gen 3 to OLA S1 base variant. It's a whooping 40k difference if you just need 70km to 100km range then ola s1 is priced way way better at just 1 Lakh ruppes.

Rear seating in ather is very sporty like sitting on those Yamaha R1/15 etc. People who have sat on Ola rear seat have accepted that the seat is very comfortable with nice thigh support!!

Ola battery warranty does not state any % health. That means even if the battery capacity is 10% after 3 years. Ather commits to 70% battery health.
OLA has very poor after sales service. We have to wait for long time to get back our scooter. Ather is fantastic in that manner.

Go for Ather. The drivetrain is better tuned for hilly terrain. OLA's drivetrain needs work on constant hills.
Ola fanboys trying too hard in comment section with -More range, More speed, Value for money, etc. But you forget what reliability, quality & consistency means when you (or your loved ones)are out on the road. An inconsistent range & top speed which overheats it to shut down during the process, is this what you call Value for money? I don't need that Value for money, I need quality!

Those who have chosen Ola, walk away, you won't understand low end torque and why it's performance oriented.

ather is exorbitantly priced, and they don't manufacture their own cells(ola is pursuing this), which is why the higher price.
Ather ki overall performance bahut best hain.
What about other modes? Ola has 4 modes, but you only want to talk about eco mode which is not the default mode!! You should've compared with normal mode of ola!!
