Most people do like connectivity features, if you wanna use Google Maps, you need to pay Google for the API, and pay for the cellular connections if it's a standalone system. So a subscription won't ever go away I guess, unless they charge you a premium with the initial cost of the vehicle. Technically, both are the same.

If you consider battery replacement cost, I figure you need to ride atleast 15-20 kms everyday to recoup that cost. Else ICE scooters are better for sure.
Valid point. Time and again people confuse warranty with life of the battery. Does the iPhone battery die after one year? 2W Ev batteries may no last as much as 4W Evs..sure it should be fine for 8-10 years at least.
There is one company that won't be named here but it now gives 8 years of battery warranty. So the battery should last atleast 10 years for them to give 8 year warranty. The same company is building a battery cell factory to make it's own cells. So you will get your battery replaced if it's gone within 8 years with a new tech battery made in India. The cost of battery now might be more but it will fall as soon as you get local production of battery cells like Ola Battery Factory. You will see this in few years. Then battery costs will be less and companies will also give like 8 years warranty to customers. There will still be people complaining that warranty should be 10 years and cost should be even less, but majority consumers will move to EVs and petrol Scooters and bikes would make no sense.

I recently encountered significant challenges with electric vehicles (EVs) that have shaken my confidence in this technology. In my city, Madurai, I placed an order for the Ather 450S. The on road price was ₹1.19 lakh, but the showroom informed me of a 100 day delivery wait time. This delay meant I wouldn't be eligible for the FAME 2 subsidy, resulting in additional costs upon delivery. Due to these concerns, I cancelled the Ather order. I then bought Ola S1 X Plus, hoping for a smoother experience. However, within just 13 days of ownership, the scooter malfunctioned unexpectedly and became inoperable. Additionally, the seat became stuck and wouldn't open. To my disappointment, the service representative informed me it would take 10 days to fix these issues. These consecutive negative experiences have unfortunately eroded my trust in EVs at the moment.
My friend bought a 450x a couple days ago. It's been a great ride but few software niggles exist It's showing "factory mode" dialogue overlay and its not going away and the dealership don't know how to fix it The touch response on this (maybe this particular) vehicle is bad to say the least. Felt like using a decade old ATM There's a noticeable whine at around 15-25kmph, it's so unsettling, maybe it'll go away after the components break-in (or it's a feature to alert pedestrians, idk🤔) Hey, BTW we i asked the sales person on more about the vehicle and its perks over is competition, he gave a well rounded explanation, later i found a notebook lying around where they took notes. Found some of the points in them which you guys discussed in previous videos So they are listening to you guys😅
Oh no! We hope this gets solved soon! And if you need help, do ping us. The whine is normal for Athers though. They're a bit vocal, they've always been.
Loving these ‘View(s)’!! Frankly, felt a lack of variety in long form content in the last couple of months but this is refreshing and exciting! Can't wait for more! P.s. very desperately waiting for ThisConnect S2
Looking at the comments, it's pretty clear no one's a fan of these Subscription models. Ather please come up with a better plan. Simplify the purchase. The more complications a customer faces during a purchase, the harder it is to sell in huge numbers.
I truly feel like Ather has managed to make an EXCEPTIONAL scooter right here. I recently sat pillion on my friends new 450X and immediately i was blown away by the ride comfort. The ather, it just DELETES speed bumps, ignores potholesand is reasonably stable on hard acceleration. And the seat ! ICE scootera usually have an inclined seat where the pillion tends to slide forward on hard braking and going over potholes and stuff. But the seat on the ather is wide, flat and keeps you at place while still being spacious.
Agreed! The thing is that this comfort level only happens when you sit with pillion. There’s room to make the sole rider experience quite a bit more comfortable.
I do not like this seating, not planted for city rides with speed breaker and potholes. Feel like applying Fevicol on my butt 😂. Certainly one thing that needs to be improved on athers product line
Now that the Aprilia 457 have started to show up in showrooms for test rides in Mumbai, I hope to see a Motorinc View on that motorcycle the way it was magical on the Duke 390 gen 3. Still the best summary of what Duke 390 is in its new Avatar ❤.
I wanted to replace my 15 years ICE scooter hence wanted to buy EV, no commute as such but daily distance may be around 10KM max, I live in a tire 2/3 city having 10KM radius. In my city most selling is TVS iQube and then OLA. TVS had very bad Regen experience and also it costed around 1.5 L. OLA feels toyish, OLA showroom exp was horrible. Took rides of all 3, Ather s/x was way better than OLA and TVS. I choose Ather S over X 1. Range - 90 vs 110 Km, my daily ride may be 10 max. 20 kms is hardly any difference for me. 2. Price - S costed me 1.3 with all the packages, X was around 1.6 to 1.7 3. Dashboard - My kid is 4 so I did NOT want touchscreen, also you don’t need to use Google maps in a small city like ours 4. Battery size - I wanted small battery size which is giving more range ( efficiency) , in case if I need to change battery after 5 years. OLA and TVS has bigger batteries with same range. TVS has 3.4 whereas Ather S has 2.7. 5. Ride - I did not feel any difference in S and X, I will check now again since you mentioned this. 6. Warp Mode - This did not have that much weightage while choosing.
Was waiting for this since a long time, planning to buy ather 450s this Diwali, I am willing to pay more and get less range compared to ola, just beacuse I don't want compromise in the quality and safety as my wife is going to learn riding on this. It is going to be the only 2 wheeler in our family and I want a ride which I can enjoy too, so Ather 450s it is. Can't spend more for x due to budget concern.
Would love to see you guys also covering some premium bikes upwards of 500cc. May be even few videos catering towards enthusiasts, talking about motorsports etc.
Correct. As we're using these EVs more and more though, we realise that in actual use, once an EV takes more than 2-3 hours to charge, the actual time doesn't matter because you end up plugging it in the night and not doing anything with it until morning though.
I have a 450x gen 3.1 and I haven’t seen range drop more than 10 to 12km in the hottest summer days of Rajasthan while going flat out top speed for most of the ride.
I feel scooters generally tend to stay for long periods of time without requiring much maintenance whatsoever. And ev's having a battery replacement cost in 5 figures beats the purpose. While if we talk about petrol cost vs EV, the premium which currently manufacturers are charing, it's practically the same.
Using the Ather 450x Series 1 for the past 2 and half years, with similar battery pack as the 450s i.e 2.9kwh. 40500 km done and i m getting around 90 kms per charge that too in sports mode i.e city & highway rides, my everyday commuteis around 50 kms. No major issues till now as far as battery motor is concerned, but my both the callipers failed at 30k kms and ather service centre does not have the refurbishment kit for them. they said full calipers need replacement costing around 2.5 k each. overall very happy with the service as i have the service pack till june this year, but my friends are complaining of very steep service and parts prices. Other day my collegue replaced a horn switch on his 450x and it cost him 500 rupees, thats exorbitant..... hopefully subscription willbe back till my gets over......
Subscription on a scooter seems like extortion. You have already paid for the hardware and still need to pay a monthly fee to use the hardware. That's just highway robbery.
I want to buy Ather because I like electric and electric is future no matter how much media or anything tells you otherwise or how much brain washed you’re. The ride on Ather was very good. That’s how it should be. Instant throttle response. Remove all the ICE and transmission lag. It was Smooth. No Vibrations. I may use it less than 100km a week. ICE makes more sense for my requirement but still..

Hello, could you please explain the same regarding the Ather 450 plus. How is it compared to the 450s? Because I've purchased the 450plus model for a year and a half now and am really concerned regarding it..
Hello, My father 53 years old and mother 50 years old for the first decided to switch to a scooter current options I am considering are ather 450s, ather rizta and Suzuki avenis budget is around 1.8 lakhs comfort and reliability are key and can wait for a few months but we do not have a ather dealership in our town there is one around 30 kms from our town so what do you suggest?
Why don’t you ping us after the Rizta is out (that’s May for media previews)? We’re sure we can help solve this. Meantime, why suggest you take your dad and mum and get test rides on the Avenis and 450S?
Went to the showroom today to test drive it and order it. The rep told me 450S stopped production last month 😅 and no stock available. Wondering if it's due to fame 2 subsidy or if they're discontinuing this model.
Hey @yogeshnikam8064! The last time we rode the CB350, we came to the conclusion that it's not a bike worth buying and recommending. Nothing has changed on the bike since then. We've been chasing Honda for ~9 months at this point for a test bike... nothing so far.
Subscription model - Every automobile company now wants to be an internet company. Subscription is fine until the core functionality is not brought in. Future is all about convenience and expenses for that
Hey Since fame 2 ending in march end Hero veda plus give 19k extra less , so effective price is 1.05 lakh onroad if buy from Flipkart.. my daily journey around 30km office... is it good to invest
absolutely! I don't own a vida but I rented one for a month. Make sure you have a service center close by. Also, one problem that I saw was that the throttle was tight.. took extra effort to twist. If throttle needs extra effort for long duration of time, it can be a problem for wrists over time. This could be purely a mechanical issue and perhaps only with my model. Check in a showroom nearby if you like the throttle. Also, don't expect performance like ather. vida is very mild mannered. it is keyless btw..
Hey Abir! Unfortunately, we haven't had a Vida on test at all, and not for the lack of asking. So we can't tell you whether this electric scooter is worth investing in or not. For a 30km run to office, we'd think the Ather 450S would work though - if it is available where you are.
Good points, Ankith! Not sure about the throttle. We did ride the Vida very briefly at the Hero R&D centre a long time ago and the throttle felt normal.

Propack gives you riding modes inc regen and extra 2 years of battery warranty for a total of 5 years. What happens after 5 years? Subscription makes it sound like a Jio monthly plan.
I come across "Pro pack & Pro pack insurance" for 450X HR I pay ₹8560 for Comprehensive insurance (external damages) for my vehicle. The Pro pack is optional and costs ₹23,078. When purchasing the Pro pack for ₹23,078, you are offered "Dash board features, connectivity, and extra warranty for 2 years plus 30k km." To get all these features, I'm paying ₹23,078 for Pro pack and above this "If I face any software issue you would rather assist me with software update or simple restart method to get started" where do I need "Pro pack insurance for ₹1146" where your responsibility is solely for software issues (by update)? Customer says: Pro Pack Insurance is an add-on that specifically covers software issues of the vehicle, providing comprehensive protection. "Pro pack insurance", sounds groundless or not?
This is not related to the Aether, but what are your thoughts on replaceable batteries, like in Vida? I want to own a scooter for more than 5 years, or even 10 years if it works just as good. No reason to replace something if it works well. That's currently not an option with most electric 2 wheelers since you can't replace the batteries. I feel like our world is moving towards a once-use throw away kind of thing, like we do with toys. I guess that's just what happens when we are affluent. But still, I hope for a good electric 2 wheeler with a replaceable battery... _and without subscriptions_
Would like to know if the Access 125 will be fun to ride or not as compared to these electric scooters. There's going to be a scooter purchase at our home after selling our 13 yr old Activa. And my father is against electric scooters 😂. So we've decided for an Access 125. Will it be a good purchase?
Hello!! Thank you for your lovely reviews. Was wondering if you could help me. I'm currently using a 12 year old Aviator which has done about 30k kms till date. I don't use the scooter everyday and at times 15 - 20kms in a day with my wife & kid. What scooter would u recommend for a user like me? I am flexible with my budget. A comfortable ride is a priority. Ok to go with either 110, 125 or 160 cc options. Also should I consider waiting for a couple of years as the 2 wheeler market is changing. Thank you in advance!! Cheers!
It's a great product but I won't put my money in it just yet coz I feel the obselecence curve is hit way too early. I keep my vehicles like 7-8 years so range drop is a 'fear' I am not willing to take.
review 450s without pro pack...i want to know the details of it cause ather dont give any description about what pro pack dont provides and without pro pack the scooter work on which mode and battery status !
Hey @saikatCANsing! We did get a proper test ride on it - you’ll see a short soon. It works as a product. We didn’t miss the features too much and it works more or less like a current ICE scooter in airplane mode. We wish the charge remaining indication was more helpful - it’s just a “fuel gauge” where the graph slowly counts down. But that aside we did enjoy the ride and it’s well worth considering.
In the USA insurance companies are able to extract vehicle ride info directly from the EV and guess what Premiums just magically went up. Don't support EVs or the subscription model.
That's going to happen to all vehicles in time, Jim. Insurance guys love data and the ways to collect evermore data are growing. It does help them fine-tune premiums and sometimes that does suck too. But we don't think there's a way you avoid that reality, no matter what's under the hood.
Just a matter of time Jim before ICEs get as connected as the EVs. Just see the Euro5+ norms coming next year. They’re not connected yet but tracking’s going to start.
I don't think they will. They hate those scooters and come off as snobs when they tried to review S1 Pro. So they just ignore them for now except the minor jabs
No plan to review Ola scooters, @koushikvss7638. We've tested a series of them over the years and they never work well enough for us to recommend them.
@@motorinc hi, I understand that but they've recently updated their models with the Gen 2 platform, I don't know if you've looked into them but if you have then I appreciate your response. Thanks!

Does any have any idea about Ather's Service Subscription plans? Last I checked they said they will be bringing it out again. As someone who has bought the Ather 450x recently this has been a concern.
Apollos are generally very good. We have not tested the S1 though. We would warn against mixing and matching tyre brands. The balance of the bike will change, you cannot predict whether it will be for the better or not though
Hi everyone, apart from this review by our expert, I wanted to add a review , especially I am driving one of the latest Ather450Apex scooter . Below is my REALITY FEEDBACK after 1000+ kms within 1 month.
IN Sport mode - (max speed in this mode is around 90 + kmph) 0.5675 kms per percent / 1.7619 percent charge per km = 45 km range for 80% charge (condition: highway ride at 70 to 80 kmph) (charging time from 0 to 80 % = 140 mins - using ather grid fast charger)
Ride Mode - (max speed in this mode is 65 kmph) 0.8863 kms per percent / 1.1282 percent charge per km = 70 km range for 80% charge (condition: highway ride at 60 kmph) (charging time from 0 to 80 % = 120 mins minimum - using ather grid fast charger i.e 30 mins per 20 % charge )
I will put the above notes in an understandable manner : after riding constantly in sport mode for 20 mins at 80kmph (which is faster than most scooter and a enjoyable speed) the scooter speed does reduce to 65 to 70 kmph due to thermal issues . But this is not really a big thing for someone who rides in locals. It will be an issue for someone who is constantly riding more than 25 to 30 km distance in one go. Overall 70 kms range in Ride Mode minimum and 45 kms range in sport mode minimum . If you ride in 40 to 50 kmph then you will get like 5 to 10 kms extra that's the maximum. This is the truth.
As for the fun aspect it is very very quick , as I said earlier the speed will drop if you drive at 80+ to about below 65 after 20 mins of sport or warp mode. That you all have to remember. Other things i want to add is that the scooter will keep on going faster right from the go 0 to 80 very quick and above that to a 100 just a little slow not as slow as a petrol powered scooter. About charging : there are two levels of charging : from 0 to 80% it will take 3.45 hours and from 80 to 100 percent another 2 hours total of 5.45 hours as the company claims , IN Public charging it will take 30 mins per 20% charge approximately , so for 0-80% in public charger you will have to wait for a total of 120 min s minimum , otherwise if you are charging at home it won't be a issue as you can take rest and take the vehicle outside after a Slow 100% charging, So you have to wait around 120 to 160 mins for charging from completely empty 0% to 80 % in a public charger for those who are going far distances this will be a concern , i have travelled between Chennai and Puducherry which is a total of approx 140 + 140 kms , So in reality when you drive 40 kms in RIDE mode (which is the mode you have to go in Long DISTANCE) you will lose 40 to 50% charge , hence i mentioned already you will have to wait for around 80 mins for this charge to come for example from 30 to 80%, so you ride for 40 mins and wait for 80 mins so for every 40kms distance you will spend 120 mins in total , imagine for 140kms how much i would have spend , So up and down i spent a total of 15 hours of travel instead of 7 hours of travel in a petrol scooter. this is the difference Between Electric and Petrol and electric scooter in Range Wise review of mine.
I respect ev’s, they have a purpose and they are solving it, everything has it’s pro and cons and i think ev’s and ice’s can live together until the time allows, we shouldn’t fight about it rather we should embrace it.
we want to buy an electric scooter for my mom, already have activa 5G at home, is the Ola S1x 3watt, a value for money scooter? or any better scooter we can go for?
my friend I will strongly advise you to stay away from ola, especially if it is for parents. Ola scooter till date do not give a good reliable vibe to me. So, I would suggest either ather or hero vida (i agree the sytling is not great but at least they would be much more reliable than ola)
@@motorinc can you suggest a particular model in the budget? we don't care about display, connectivity, music system in a scooter, or any type of BS feature. just an electric vehicle to ride in the city
The very idea of bringing premium features like touch screen, connected mode, navigation etc., etc., is to give a premium stature to the bike and position it above even the high end ICE bikes. In this process, these EV manufacturers make good money. In reality, these bikes are not worth even 70% of present prices. For e.g the battery prices have dropped from $180/Kwh to $130/Kwh in the past 3 years. This is the reason why government is pruning the subsidy. That is the reason why EV makers are able to cut prices, in spite of lesser subsidy. In future, the battery prices are likely to drop further and may reach $60/Kwh by 2029.This means the prices of EV bikes may drop further by 30%. Also the replacement cost of batteries will be considerably lesser in future. All EV makers know that there will be hectic competition by that time and hence their margins get thinnervous and thinner. So all EV makers are trying to make hay when the sunshines, and try to get maximum profits at the earliest.
i alwys thght Evs would be cheaper than their ICE counterparts since they have so mch less material and parts going into them.. I was really worng... but this is a good product.. and its surprising that a scooter is producing almst the same torq as an enfield... in the future i believe we wil be running to wall scokets for evrthng mobiles laptops scooter pencils pens earphones cars bikes.. it will be a task to remember to chrge all your tools...
Not true at all. First, the only place to extract full performance is the racetrack. If you’re serious, making the effort to go to a track is always worth it. Second, the India has few roads is a myth. We have some of the best, in fact.
This subscription model needs to go. It is horrible for consumer. Please do not enable companies that are going this route.

There will still be people complaining that warranty should be 10 years and cost should be even less, but majority consumers will move to EVs and petrol Scooters and bikes would make no sense.

4) Battery Warranty, Competition gives 8Yr .
Thanks for sharing your perspective Deepak!
I agree
It's been a great ride but few software niggles exist
It's showing "factory mode" dialogue overlay and its not going away and the dealership don't know how to fix it
The touch response on this (maybe this particular) vehicle is bad to say the least. Felt like using a decade old ATM
There's a noticeable whine at around 15-25kmph, it's so unsettling, maybe it'll go away after the components break-in (or it's a feature to alert pedestrians, idk🤔)
Hey, BTW we i asked the sales person on more about the vehicle and its perks over is competition, he gave a well rounded explanation, later i found a notebook lying around where they took notes. Found some of the points in them which you guys discussed in previous videos
So they are listening to you guys😅
Great to hear! We are working on ThisConnect S02. Stay tuned!
Looking at the comments, it's pretty clear no one's a fan of these Subscription models.
Ather please come up with a better plan. Simplify the purchase. The more complications a customer faces during a purchase, the harder it is to sell in huge numbers.
I bought the 450s for 1.39k its totally worth it
I truly feel like Ather has managed to make an EXCEPTIONAL scooter right here.
@@motorinc ohhh il have to beg to my friend for a test ride now 😂😅
I do not like this seating, not planted for city rides with speed breaker and potholes.
Loved the content and simplified explanation
I wanted to replace my 15 years ICE scooter hence wanted to buy EV, no commute as such but daily distance may be around 10KM max, I live in a tire 2/3 city having 10KM radius.
In my city most selling is TVS iQube and then OLA. TVS had very bad Regen experience and also it costed around 1.5 L. OLA feels toyish, OLA showroom exp was horrible.
Took rides of all 3, Ather s/x was way better than OLA and TVS.
I choose Ather S over X
1. Range - 90 vs 110 Km, my daily ride may be 10 max. 20 kms is hardly any difference for me.
2. Price - S costed me 1.3 with all the packages, X was around 1.6 to 1.7
3. Dashboard - My kid is 4 so I did NOT want touchscreen, also you don’t need to use Google maps in a small city like ours
Thanks for sharing your perspective Ashutosh! Ather will announce updates on April 6... do look out for that too!
Would love to see you guys also covering some premium bikes upwards of 500cc. May be even few videos catering towards enthusiasts, talking about motorsports etc.
All things are okay only issue is charging time should be 3 to 4 hour
We should have considered it
Yes. I’m extreme heat as the battery tries to protect itself, it will limit things temporarily
@@motorinc in my case it never dropped performance or showed overheating signs. It just goes.
Great! The range drop is a sign of protection mechanisms kicking in though
@@motorinc oh. I didn’t knew that. Thanks for letting me know.
I feel scooters generally tend to stay for long periods of time without requiring much maintenance whatsoever. And ev's having a battery replacement cost in 5 figures beats the purpose. While if we talk about petrol cost vs EV, the premium which currently manufacturers are charing, it's practically the same.
Good points Jeet! You’re right!
I've 40km commute. Which one shall I buy
just bought one few weeks back loving it !
Congratulations!!
What a soothing presentation! 🤌
Thank you very much!
Few days ago, news came that King has Relented!!( Honda's Electric scooter launch) But immediately, came the news, that the new date of launch is June( And they had already informed, that launch may be in second quarter!!) I bought an Activa instead!! ( My need was for home errands!!)🎉
Thanks for letting us know Hemant! Congratulations!!
great choice of music as always!.
Glad you think so! Thanks @chazzy499!

Just bought it a month ago and could'nt be happier. Ya the subscription plans are confusing and what not, but still its a very fun scooter for my daily commute to my college. And the sport mode on the highway is just 🔥🔥
Eagerly waiting for the Community day 2024 !
Love ur videos as always. ❤
Congratulations @darklordgaming429! Glad you are enjoying your riding!
Fantastic narration loved it. Looking forward more of it. :)
Hi MotorInc
I am Actually confused By the fact that what's the difference between ather 450s and ola s series I need take the desicision to buy my first ever scooter
We don't recommend Olas at all. Get the 450S, it's excellent!
how long does it take this scooter to charge till 80%? and what is the scooter like without pro pack?
Not worried about subscription model because Indian engineers, tuners, technicians and programmers are the best in the world and will be able to pull off something like they did with playstations.
We would love to see another detailed video on biker accessories(helmets, gloves, jacket, shoes).
We’re working on this! Stay tuned!
@@motorincwas going to suggest the same.
Why you guys didnt make review on honda cb350 , eagerly waiting ..pls make it
Went to the showroom today to test drive it and order it. The rep told me 450S stopped production last month 😅 and no stock available. Wondering if it's due to fame 2 subsidy or if they're discontinuing this model.
Always quality information. is it possible to make video on Honda CB 350RS? I have taken test drive of both. But waiting for your video.
Future is all about convenience and expenses for that
Spot on! Thanks Vignesh!
Very very nice discussion I always respects and like your true thoughts thanks sir really
Can we talk about are EV's really clean; in the upcoming episodes!

After 5 years - as it is with _all warranties_ @MrSrijit - you pay for whatever needs to be fixed or replaced.
@@motorinc Well, then where is the subscription coming in? The dealer in my town says that they dont have subscriptions but only the propacks
We don't know but let's see what Ather announces on April 6 -- they have an event coming
@@motorinc Got my Ather 450s in April. It came with a felt bag for the portable charger. Dealer in Trivandrum, Kerala

I want to buy for my wife currently riding Activa. Shall I wait for Ather Rizta or go for 450s. Thanks in advance.
Please do wait for the Rizta - details should be out April 6
How much of a practical range can we expect on a weekend joyride in the twisties for the ather 450x?
If you're riding fast? 55-60km at best.

Honda NX500/CB350 First impressions coming or not ?
I come across "Pro pack & Pro pack insurance" for 450X HR
I pay ₹8560 for Comprehensive insurance (external damages) for my vehicle.
The Pro pack is optional and costs ₹23,078.
When purchasing the Pro pack for ₹23,078, you are offered "Dash board features, connectivity, and extra warranty for 2 years plus 30k km."
To get all these features, I'm paying ₹23,078 for Pro pack and above this "If I face any software issue you would rather assist me with software update or simple restart method to get started" where do I need "Pro pack insurance for ₹1146" where your responsibility is solely for software issues (by update)?
Customer says: Pro Pack Insurance is an add-on that specifically covers software issues of the vehicle, providing comprehensive protection.
"Pro pack insurance", sounds groundless or not?
Hi !! TOTALL unrelated question
could you please mention the name of the bg song in this vid ? Its an absolute banger !!
We Really Need A Indepth Of The River Indie Cuz Just Cancelled 450 For That "Pro Subscription" Thing🙂👍🏻
It is a rebadging of 450X gen 2 without the touchscreen and warp mode and no Bluetooth if there's no pro mode.
Yes! The Access is the most fun (and a great) family scooter right from the start! Go for it, Doc!

Thanks for sharing your perspective Jubin!

review 450s without pro pack...i want to know the details of it cause ather dont give any description about what pro pack dont provides and without pro pack the scooter work on which mode and battery status !
Shumi, Can we get a R15 v4 vs Honda CBR150R video?
In the USA insurance companies are able to extract vehicle ride info directly from the EV and guess what Premiums just magically went up. Don't support EVs or the subscription model.
That's going to happen to all vehicles in time, Jim. Insurance guys love data and the ways to collect evermore data are growing. It does help them fine-tune premiums and sometimes that does suck too. But we don't think there's a way you avoid that reality, no matter what's under the hood.
@@motorinc But it's gonna be difficult on the old school ICE vehicles but effortless on newer EV's.
Just a matter of time Jim before ICEs get as connected as the EVs. Just see the Euro5+ norms coming next year. They’re not connected yet but tracking’s going to start.
Please review Ola s1 air and s1x+ scooters as well. They are the most affordable options in the market. Would appreciate your perspective. Thanks
I don't think they will. They hate those scooters and come off as snobs when they tried to review S1 Pro. So they just ignore them for now except the minor jabs
No plan to review Ola scooters, @koushikvss7638. We've tested a series of them over the years and they never work well enough for us to recommend them.

Does any have any idea about Ather's Service Subscription plans? Last I checked they said they will be bringing it out again. As someone who has bought the Ather 450x recently this has been a concern.
Hey @jathinreddy460! We're hoping for announcements on April 6 clarifying things when Ather has their community day.
Please suggest a grippy front tyre for Apache 160 2V
I've few options : MRF Zapper FS, Ceat Secura Zoom, TVS Eurogrip Remora. The tyre size 90/90-17
The Remora is a good option, the Zapper would be a good second option @akshatmishra3523
@@motorinc Currently rear one is in good condition
But what about Apollo Alpha S1 110/80-17??
Apollos are generally very good. We have not tested the S1 though. We would warn against mixing and matching tyre brands. The balance of the bike will change, you cannot predict whether it will be for the better or not though
The actual top speed verified by gps is 80 but it displays 90. I guess when you have screen and software you can display anything
In 450s the indication of sound and reverse sound is not working? Does anyone know how to fix it? I have also rebooted.
Yup same, it looks like they have removed buzzer thats responsible for that.
Hi everyone, apart from this review by our expert, I wanted to add a review , especially I am driving one of the latest Ather450Apex scooter . Below is my REALITY FEEDBACK after 1000+ kms within 1 month.
IN Sport mode - (max speed in this mode is around 90 + kmph)
0.5675 kms per percent / 1.7619 percent charge per km = 45 km range for 80% charge (condition: highway ride at 70 to 80 kmph) (charging time from 0 to 80 % = 140 mins - using ather grid fast charger)
Ride Mode - (max speed in this mode is 65 kmph)
0.8863 kms per percent / 1.1282 percent charge per km = 70 km range for 80% charge
(condition: highway ride at 60 kmph)
(charging time from 0 to 80 % = 120 mins minimum - using ather grid fast charger i.e 30 mins per 20 % charge )
I will put the above notes in an understandable manner :
after riding constantly in sport mode for 20 mins at 80kmph (which is faster than most scooter and a enjoyable speed) the scooter speed does reduce to 65 to 70 kmph due to thermal issues .
About charging : there are two levels of charging :
from 0 to 80% it will take 3.45 hours and
from 80 to 100 percent another 2 hours total of 5.45 hours as the company claims ,
IN Public charging it will take 30 mins per 20% charge approximately , so for 0-80% in public charger you will have to wait for a total of 120 min s minimum , otherwise if you are charging at home it won't be a issue as you can take rest and take the vehicle outside after a Slow 100% charging,
So you have to wait around 120 to 160 mins for charging from completely empty 0% to 80 % in a public charger for those who are going far distances this will be a concern ,
i have travelled between Chennai and Puducherry which is a total of approx 140 + 140 kms ,
So in reality when you drive 40 kms in RIDE mode (which is the mode you have to go in Long DISTANCE) you will lose 40 to 50% charge , hence i mentioned already you will have to wait for around 80 mins for this charge to come for example from 30 to 80%, so you ride for 40 mins and wait for 80 mins so for every 40kms distance you will spend 120 mins in total , imagine for 140kms how much i would have spend ,
So up and down i spent a total of 15 hours of travel instead of 7 hours of travel in a petrol scooter. this is the difference Between Electric and Petrol and electric scooter in Range Wise review of mine.
I respect ev’s, they have a purpose and they are solving it, everything has it’s pro and cons and i think ev’s and ice’s can live together until the time allows, we shouldn’t fight about it rather we should embrace it.
Can you do review on new ns 200

@@sinzz26o7 People say ola is bad on the internet but on the road most of the E vehicles are Ola.
@@sinzz26o7 Ok I got it, it's just like Chinese phones, which are superior only on spec sheets.
