As an Assamese seeing this report is disappointing but we have our reasons for that...mainly the Bangladeshi issue is crippling the state for decades now ...and in terms of infrastructure the blame has to be given to various local bodies and unions...the forceful demand of donation and gundagardi is not letting industries come and set up plants here

    • @Abhishekaditya91
      @Abhishekaditya91 3 ปีที่แล้ว +54

Multiple factors are their that we ignore.
      1. Assam is much more populaous comapring other NE states.
      2. Assam faces illegle immgrants problem.
      3. Appeasement politics of past had stopped the growth.
      4. Almost regular flood issue is the biggest problem on Assamese economy, which simply wastes money and indirectly stops that money to go for better cause.
      5. No direct access to sea is always a problem to any state. This makes industrialization very very difficult and forces the state to focus on few industries only like Tea in case of Assam.

It's not only the problem of Assam, West Bengal also sees similar problem. Because of the illegal migrants from Bangladesh (mostly as they are from the Peaceful Community, they don't aspire their sons to be engineer or doctor rather working with other organizations, hence they have lower education rate, increase in fertility rate, more gender inequality etc.)

    My thoughts and takeaways:
    - Both top states like Himachal and Kerela have but a higher focus on education
    - MP (ruled 18 years by bjp) is similar to Bengal (ruled by TMC for 10 years, Communsits for 35 years) so Mamata shouldn’t talk badly about hindi heartland bjp states especially when Bengal used to be much better than MP say 10 years ago.
    - Southern and Western States are much more developed than northern, northeastern and eastern states. Hint
    - UP/Bihar which are doing poorly have massive caste related issues.
    - Oversmart gujjus and marathis should stop fighting with each other when it comes to development as both are similar with Maha. just 1 ahead of Gujurat
    - Oversmart Mallus and Tamilians should stop saying all of northern imdia is a Bjp lead communal shithole when Himachal and UK have performed very well.

Mizoram has performed very well but it's population is less than the municipality of Bhubaneswar, odisha.
And UP has done a tremendous work in improving it's 230million population which is more than all top 5 states population combined.

But we are providing good Education and good educated population but is there enough employment to provide. ? NO. majority of our people works in dubai or other Indian metropolitan cities. Thus, our economy, industry, Infrastructure isnt well progressed. State has planned for many Infrastructure projects along with the centres Bharathmala, Sagarmala project's. Many IT parks are also coming( Many of keralites says that the state is not appropriate for manufacturing, or heavy industries, but IT was always an option better late than never). I will never understand why Indian media ignores my state Himachal bro. We always do our tasks with utmost honesty and dedication but why would they care? They don't do any sort of infrastructural development of any sort
After all Himachal only has a few political seats so Indian Government doesn't really care about us
We are so insanely ignored that in recent years, our state was removed from the "Corruption index" because we were always coming out as number one in Low Corruption. So, guess what? They removed us lol

      Stop comparing China with India.
The only similarly between India and China is that they both has more than a Billion people. That's it.
China is a one party meritocracy (after Mao's death, China started moving towards meritocracy and now, you can't call it a communist nation even though they claims to be).
In meritocracy, highly qualified and intelligent people make national policies.
In one party system countries, the Govt has too much power which is both good and bad. Because of this, these Govts can execute new policies very fast.

Well I want to change everyone's perspective on Bihar, ( btw I live near Varanasi)
    1. The roads in Bihar a hell lot beautiful, the govt has planted trees alongside road which make is look beautiful and also acts as shed in summer.....
    2. Govt has built ponds in each and every village, so that it can be used for fish farming and for irrigation by villagers.....
    3. The govt has provided 24hr electricity to each and every village, the electrical supply is so robust that it continues in light rain, but here in UP, govt only gives 20hr which stops when even light rain happens (btw it's better than previous govts, which marely provided 8hrs, talking wrt villages)
    4. Canal and Road infrastructure has improved a lot....
*5. The most imp point : Law and Order has improved 7 folds, my father used to tell, Durning 1995-2001/2, If a person of upper caste hasn't returned to his home by 5-6pm, then his family starts crying because that guy is certainly dead....*

The thing is UP and Bihar are some of the most populated states in the world. There are only 12 countries with more population than UP. To bring about changes in equity and social equality is a massive task. Its easy when population is small but a monumental task for UP. Same goes for infrastructure, more population simply means a higher need for infrastructure. Moreover the history in UP hasn't helped it either. But what is important is the improvement they are bringing. We need to support the improvement not belittle them for the bad rankings.

@@ryancorey6826 Ever heard of the word equity? UP is the most populated state in India and is the 4th largest state by area. Just to have same access to services, UP requires much more investment. Say you want to electrify every home in India. Its easy for smaller states with less population because demand is low and it doesn't take a lot of infrastructure to deliver. Now to do the same thing to the most populated state in India which is also the 4th largest, it is logical to expect more investment there.
Also, how did you compare with other states? Gross amounts are never equal and can't be equal due to the nature of investments. What you should compare is the investment per capita. In other words, how much has centre invested per person in every state. Thats a fair way of comparing.
