I'm 75 years old and have run 25 marathons, (6) Boston Marathons. Welcome to the marathon family and what a great performance! Congrats young man. May you be blessed with lifetime of happiness and the "lessons learned " in this adventure!!!
Just finished running 4.5 miles which is a distance pr for me. Only started running 3 months ago. Came on here to check if nico had uploaded his sub 3 marathon video yet, perfect to watch while relaxing after a run. Well done my man, I'm going to run my first marathon in april next year. You're very inspiring and this is coming from a 32 year old man.
I’m a freshman in high school, I recently became the 2nd fastest freshman in school history and I am now headed to state with my team. I want to thank you for all of the videos you have made because they have helped push me and you have made me realize that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. At the beginning of the season I wasn’t even sub 20 in the 5k and that’s when I started watching your videos, I am now at a 16:47. Thank you!
Just finished my marathon today! Ran a 3:25:37 and I’m proud of it. My goal is sub 3 next year and watching this series has been awesome. This isn’t about me though it’s about you!! Way to freaking go, job well done!!
From Warsaw, Indiana and um…Not me crying 😭 this is amazing. So freaking proud of you. The running community is amazing and I’m so happy to be a part of it. The quality of this video is INSANE. You’re such an inspiration-completed my first marathon about a month before Chicago and this series was a huge part of the motivation during my training. Sincerely, thank you for everything you’ve put into this.
Can’t lie… it really got me emotional. Congrats on achieving your goal and going even beyond by inspiring ourselves. Keep up the amazing work, Nico! Thanks for everything!
As a high school runner, videos like these remind me why I train so hard. Thanks for inspiring many with your content and your dedication!! Congrats on the sub 3 hour marathon you earned it!!❤
What a beautifully made video to the effects, the music, your commentary….. amazing work. You’ve definitely inspired me from when you first started prepping. I haven’t ran in over 4 years and just starting to get back into it. Hard work pays off, you set a goal and achieved it, CONGRATULATIONS!
I ran my only sub-3 marathon in 2019 when I was 24, but it feels like a lifetime ago. Watching you describe your journey, from training 5 months out to your emotions in the final 3 miles, really brought me back to my own experience as that was exactly how I felt. Crossing the finish line then, it was truly the best feeling I had ever felt and I will remember it for as long as I live. So thanks, all the way from Singapore, for reminding me again that we are truly capable of so much more than we could ever imagine!
Yesss Nico. Well done you are amazing 🙌 . 5 months ago was the first time I ever ran a 5k and today I ran our cities half marathon in 1 hour 55 minutes. Something I never thought I could do. Your videos have inspired me throughout my whole journey. Keep doing you!
Just wanted to say a huge thank you nico. Im 15 and I just discovered your channel today and started binge watching your videos in my bed and took along time off running but youve inspired me to start running again . My last run was 3.25km (2miles) and it was a time of 27m 35s today i ran and it was 26m 33s and for me thats amazing.i would just like to thank you for the inspiration youve put in your videos aswell as the hard work youve done as we can see the progress in your 3hour marathon. I hope I'll do a marathon run sometime . Also congrats on your marathon 🎉
Just watching your journey has given me so much hope and encouragement to just keep going. I’m fairly new to running. This world feels so foreign yet so familiar to me. I’m predominantly a road cyclist. I recently started running because my husband said he knew deep down inside me there was a marathon runner screaming to get out! I told him he was silly. Yet the first time I hit the treadmill I ran a half marathon in 2hrs 9min 😂 My husband was right. I really look forward to watching your running journey in future podcasts. Congratulations once again on a terrific sub 3 marathon 😊🇨🇦
This is awesome. Just got back into running over the summer and ran my first half marathon last month. Thanks for the content and inspiring me to create content!
Congrats! The most amazing feeling ever after such good work for months. Keep it up. Looking forward to run Chicago Marathon, I hope I can make it to the list.
Ran my first marathon on the same day. It was just a small little race and I was not even close to as fast as you. But I finished under my goal time at 4:23 (goal was 4:30) and it felt great. I’ve been watching your series all throughout training. Thanks for all the motivation and a huge congrats on achieving your goal
I wanna say your videos inspired me to get back into running this last summer and I got from only being able to run for 5-6miles to signing up for my first full marathon at the end of October! 😊Your content is inspiring to runners of all levels and keep on doing what you’re doing 🎉🎉
A huge congrats brother from a fellow Welsh marathoner. One of my biggest running inspirations and love the content with Matt Choi!! Much respect from the UK 🤍
Hi Nico, I'm running the Chicago Marathon in 2025 (I just got my confirmation a couple of days ago) and I was just searching for some tips on the marathon. I got to this video and it gave me such a boost! I have a PB of 3:09 on the 2013 Frankfurt marathon and, since then, I was wondering if I would ever reach that sub 3h mark. I'm 47 and not getting any younger... But your video just made me believe it's is possible! Somehow it clicked! I'm not saying I will do it but I can assure you I'll do everything possible and impossible to do it! So thank you for your motivation and, maybe, this time next year, I'll be thanking you again for reachingy goal!
Your story telling ability is immaculate. Just got into running this past year and found your channel in the process. Really appreciate these videos. Respect
Congrats on accomplishing your goal! I've been watching your videos this past year as I've just gotten into distance running myself after shedding weight and getting into shape. I've found your journey and commitment to be inspiration to me. Ran my first half today in 1:50 (initial goal was sub 2). Super stoked we both his our milestones! Keep up the great work!!
Just started running after years of drinking, partying and gambling and general bad decisions and bad company. The feeling running gives you is like nothing else and already im starting to think and be more positive..watching videos such as this just reinforces the positive things running brings out of people and the community as a whole which is awesome! one day i hope to complete a marathon as well! videos like this just inspire me and i hope they inspire others as well!
This was super inspiring, man. Thank you for making and sharing this. Over the last year, I've lost 55 pounds and gotten into the best shape I have ever been in. The part where you dug deep at mile 25 and honored all the work you put into reaching your goal hit me. After all the work I've put in, I finally feel like my fitness is where it needs to be to do something I've always thought was impossible for me and so I'll be running in my first half marathon this time next month in Pittsburgh.
I ran 2:55 at Chicago. I felt every word of this video. At one time I believed I did not have the capability to run a sub 3 hour marathon. Several years ago I made the decision to just start showing up everyday no matter what. I now believe achievement is a mindset and showing up consistently and doing the work no matter the circumstance is the difference. Thank you for you inspiration.
I ran my first sub 3 Marathon yesterday in Berlin, and I saw this race report with goosebumbs. Amazing how good you were reporting about it. I felt what you said in every second! Thanks for this video, next year I will run Chicago!
Goosebumps! Only a runner can probably fully appreciate what it means to cross the finish line and all the emotions and memories you have during that moment. I had a similar experience in preparing a local 26km. Thanks for sharing your journey and for this video! I am now preparing the Milan Marathon and I hope one day to run a sub-3 to qualify for Boston. Step by step 🏃♂️
That’s so awesome man! I’m glad to be a part of that race, and you weren’t kidding about the marathon being a cold, cold beast lol. Hope to see you again in future races
I have been watching your videos for 2 years on TH-cam and TikTok , Iv'e enjoyed watching your journey and yourself improve as a runner. Your improvement and discipline is really inspiring to me. Congratulations on accomplishing your goal!!
Congratulations on hitting your goal man! You put in the work and you 100% deserved to break 3. Genuinely incredible series. Can’t wait to see what’s next! Watching from Phoenix ☀️
What a W! Nothing better than seeing hard work pay off. It was inspirational and motivating to watch the series. Thank you. Love the Chiefs hoodie in there too 🤝
From Montreal, Canada. I recently started running and your video are so inspiring. They give me back the motivation when I don’t feel like going for a run. Thanks for sharing your journey with us and as well for the quality of your content (video, editing, music). Keep it up !!!
I’m not a runner but despite that you’re videos inspire me to work towards other goals in my life and despite not being a big exercise guy you’ve pushed me to improve my diet and eat healthier and I’ve seen improvement in my body and in my overall mood. I just find you entertaining and I look forward to watching your next journey!
I achieved my goal of sub 3 at the cim @ 2:59:51 now a couple wks ago ran Boston at 2:59:55 witch was my ultimate goal on this journey. talk about not giving up I def know the feelings; this gives joy looking into Chicago in a few months or so hoping to break 2:50 for sure- thanks for your dedication it means a lot and good luck on ur journey. New sub-
Really genuinely moving 👏 Always see your stuff pop up on shorts and always worth staying for. Great running man. I’ll be chasing that feeling in April with a sub 3 attempt at Manchester Marathon. Keep on pushing 💪🏼
I followed your story as I was preparing myself for the Hartford, CT marathon. You are so thoughtful, mature, and articulate- everything you said I felt as well in both my preparation and my actual marathon. Very happy for you! Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring all of us to be better!!
This is honestly amazing, I have such great respect for people who set goals and stick with them no matter what. Also one of the most polished and just all around best videos I've watched in a while👏
Wow, I'm so happy you succeeded with your goal. Your commentary in this video had me tearing up because it's just what I needed to hear. I'm 55 and starting my 11th week of training for my first marathon in January. I'm not aiming for any time like yours but I do have a goal in mind that still seems up in the air at this point. Thanks for sharing your journey with us and I look forward to your next adventure. Good luck young man and don't let any keyboard warriors slow you down one bit. Keep on putting out inspiring words and you will always win.
Legit got emotional and shed a tear, been following your journey congratulations! 🎉🎈🍾 I got my first marathon in December and this just gave me crazy motivation
This video brought tears to my eyes! Congrats on hitting your goal Nico, the harder it is the more reward you feel after!! I just recently ran my first half marathon in Toronto, and I can relate to so many of the mental processes that I had to overcome throughout the run, I couldn't feel my legs during the last 3 km but somehow willpower got me through it.
Just found your channel. Getting my legs back. I’ve ran 5 marathons including Boston and NYC. Fastest was a 3:10. Always wanted that sub 3. Start my training in May for Chicago. Thanks for the motivation!
Hi! I am watching this video from Romania! Nico, Congrats! I admire you so much for the work you've comitted to. This is incredible. I am wathcing your videos since you started this journey for the Chicago marathon. Love your content, please keep going with both youtube and running cause you inspired a lot of people. Can't wait for the next video! Have a nice day!
Congratulations Nico!!!!!! So inspiring. Currently training to run my first marathon in March, and your videos are the reason that I signed up to do it in the first place.
Nico, your a great content creator I just wanted to say I started cross country not in the best shape and I went from running 10:30 miles all the way down to 7 minutes in one season. I love your videos and your work keep it up. Your very inspiring to me and to many others.
Today i run my first half marathon at TCS Amsterdam after 5 months of training, and is was awesome! Did it in 2:08. I’ve had none to little running experience before. Congratz on your sub 3 marathon! Massive respect! Hope i will get there one day.
So absolutely fucking proud of you and everything you have accomplished. You worked your ass off for your entire life and it paid off in the most major way. You built this community up from the ground up and from the bottom of our hearts, congratulations Nico!
Thank you Nico - your words, your discipline, your wonderful energy are such an inspiration. God bless you in your next adventure - I will certainly be looking forward to it!
Thanks for the training tips in your videos. I've ran 7 half marathons and your videos have helped get me back into running again after 5 years and motivated me to enter a half marathon in Feb 24.
Nico, congratulations! You're an inspiration to many. I begin training this coming Monday for my first Half Marathon down here in Houston. Thank you for the great work you are doing to encourage others. Also, I love that you're an NF truther. Cheers!
your videos have motivated me so much!! Ive went from struggling to finish a 5k without walking to completing 8 mile runs each week no stops! (it's a big deal for me, I never saw myself becoming a runner.) you inspired me to sign up for a 10k, and someday a half marathon!! congratulations on your marathon!!🎉
Really inspirational video Nico - have done a couple of marathons years ago, but watching your video has made me think about doing another and beating my PB. All the best mate.
Hey Nico, seeing you reach your goal after all the prep and the whirlwind of emotions that make up a race is so amazing. That is what running is about, the baby steps that lead to the giant strides. And on a more personal note, thank you for getting me back into running this year. It was a combination of things, but seeing your videos at the start of the year sparked something in me to see running in a different light, to be consistent and enjoy the process. My first half marathon is in January, and I can’t wait. P.S. so cool to see you and Matt meet. I owe my energy and enthusiasm to you both, seriously. ✌
Congrats!!! I’m 14 and I am doing my first mini in 2 weeks this gave me some much needed motivation can’t wait for it and can’t wait to see what else you can do. Watching from Danville,Indiana
This is literally my ultimate goal brotha! My time was 3:56:18 this past October. Now I gotta shave 57 mins. Your videos definitely motivate me! Love the content! 🙏
I ran 1:30 in my second half marathon today. I'm planning on running a sub 3:15 next year for my marathon debut. Your videos have been helping me out so much and it will continue to help me as I train for that marathon debut!!!
your videos are inspiring man, that mindset of pushing through the thoughts of giving up and embracing your mental strength for wonderful things to come afterwards. incredible outlook on running and life.
Always great to see people who I admire specially in the running community! You, Matt and Jeremy are the reason why I fell in love with running!! Hope to race together with ya’ll one day! Congrats, G!!! 🤛🏽
Wow this made me tear up lol. I've followed you throughout this whole journey and you are my inspiration day-in and day-out to keep running. Thank you Nico!

Amazing story telling and emotion in this video. I’m a new viewer and I’m already hooked been running for about a month now and man this video just got me so pumped to keep running. One day I’ll be there
I was a long distance runner in high school. I always had a dream to run the Chicago marathon. Now 16 years later I put in my registration for it. Hoping to get in next year. Thank you for your videos it inspired me to finally mark it off my bucket list. Looking to go under 3.5 hours!
Yay so proud of you for running your own race the entire way through!! I did track all the way up until high school senior year but I left the team because of the unhealthy environment around food, time, exercise, mental health. Seeing your day in the life videos made me start back up again with healthier eating and exercise habits. It made me realize how much I love and missed running!! Thank you Nico true inspiration 🎉
Way to go Nico! This is so encouraging! I’m running the grandma's half marathon in June! Thanks for all the motivation and encouragement! Ur, amazing! -love from MN
I loved the idea of you talk about in mile 25, about "having to honor the training, all the miles and the process". I am a new runner and a huge BPN fan. I always tell myself G1M when it gets tough but I'll remember your mile 25 phrase. Looking forward to what's next in our running journeys
Incredible video! This took me right back to my big PRs and all the emotions that hit in the final mile and esp after I crossed the finish line - appreciate you documenting this journey!!
Wow this is truly amazing, inspiring, and awesome! I am only 14, yet this video and all your others that I’ve watched throughout this summer have really inspired and helped me with my new highschool and my 5k training program that I underwent over the summer. I never really realized till now that all your training was accumulating towards this marathon and just by your videos I thought you were some kind of super-athlete! It’s wild that with just commitment and a good attitude can help you accomplish your goals and this gives me motivation for my state championships and to just “leave it all out there!” I am really looking forward to where your TH-cam career goes and what videos you’ll post next! Amazing job and peace ✌️
Your content is honestly my favourite to watch! This is such a beautiful video🥹 You absolutely smashed the marathon and inspire us all every single day🎉The running community really is amazing and I’m so happy to be part of it!
Congrats on your success, Nico! Just discovered your posts and love the quality, love your message, love your style and swag. Thank you! Can you tell me why you like the Invincible 3s so much? Best of luck, and hope to meet you someday out East here in southern New England.
You’re an inspiration to me man. You’ve helped me overcome my struggles with food as a runner. I’m hoping one day I can compete in a marathon like this
Ngl bro I ran 1 mile in 12 minutes and felt like a champ I’m also 6’2-230 hybrid style athlete just starting my running journey. Hope to catch a run in az when I can do atleast a 10k
Ok I am really inspired can really relate to the video. Was supposed to run Chicago, but a couple of days before my departure I haven't managed to find my passport, was truly devastated ,lived more than half a year towards this dream, visa and registration weren't exactly cheap as well considering I am a student. However after some hesitation I signed up for Budapest marathon ,ofc it was not tje same experience, had sub 3 45 goal for Chicago but I honestly wouldn't think I will achieve it with lack of training last weeks, had a feeling I went through hell from km 33,was like just stick with the pacer just stick with the pacer. But as you said our body is capable for much more than we think,Really felt less prepared compared to Antwerp and Berlin marathons that I did but refused to give up. Chip time was 3 44 18, smashed my previous pb of last year's Berlin of 3 56 59. Sub 3 might be the next goal need it anyway eventually to get into Boston since I want to finish all majors,it won't be easy but i will try to work for it
I'm 75 years old and have run 25 marathons, (6) Boston Marathons. Welcome to the marathon family and what a great performance! Congrats young man. May you be blessed with lifetime of happiness and the "lessons learned " in this adventure!!!

This is crazy. You’re insane. Love your videos keep doing what you do. Such an achievement!

High school runner here and I just ran a PR 5k of 19:34 on Friday, and relate to this stuff on a spiritual level. Congrats bro, keep getting after it.

Thanks for the training tips in your videos. I've ran 7 half marathons and your videos have helped get me back into running again after 5 years and motivated me to enter a half marathon in Feb 24.
Awesome! It's truly the runner's attitude... Respect!

I was a long distance runner in high school. I always had a dream to run the Chicago marathon. Now 16 years later I put in my registration for it. Hoping to get in next year. Thank you for your videos it inspired me to finally mark it off my bucket list. Looking to go under 3.5 hours!
You're goated nico! Inspiring ass video and journey brother congrats
CONGRATS UR AWESOME BRO. SUCH A BRAVE SOUL
Way to go Nico! This is so encouraging! I’m running the grandma's half marathon in June! Thanks for all the motivation and encouragement! Ur, amazing! -love from MN

This was surprisingly extremely motivating, man you tell you a great story and with that music, corr goosebumps dude 👏🏼 mega job!
Loved the video! You are big inspiration for me. Cheers from Guatemala.
I got so emotional watching this. Awesome storytelling! I've never run close to a sub-3 marathon but this video really resonates as a runner.
Nice work man! I was right there with ya (2:58.13 this year)! Way to push through and reach your goal!
Your content is honestly my favourite to watch! This is such a beautiful video🥹
You absolutely smashed the marathon and inspire us all every single day🎉The running community really is amazing and I’m so happy to be part of it!

Congrats on your success, Nico! Just discovered your posts and love the quality, love your message, love your style and swag. Thank you! Can you tell me why you like the Invincible 3s so much? Best of luck, and hope to meet you someday out East here in southern New England.
Greattt video!!! Keep inspiring man, will follow your path
Nice!
Sub 3 might be the next goal need it anyway eventually to get into Boston since I want to finish all majors,it won't be easy but i will try to work for it
This made me emotional bruh !! You are awesome :) You will have a long healthy life and will achieve a lot more
