    Wow no insulation. That’s the reason why I did a self build Ducato conversion. Always warm during the cold weather and doesn’t overheat in the hot weather. Glad you’re sorting it out now 👌🏽👌🏽

      Old thread, but most seem to be like that! Easy to add though!
      Also between the back doors, a 15mm pipe insulation tube fits nicely, when closed.

    Today, I followed your instructions and fitted the sound dampening matting & insulation to our CV40 (Oct 22 delivery). The back doors were just like yours, devoid of both materials. The sliding door was exactly the same apart from 2 very small strips of sound deadening that looked about as cheap as possible and did nothing to stop resonation. Thanks for the tips & advice. Looking forward to a sliding door that does not sound like a drum when we dive over anything except a PERFECT ROADs, which is hard to find in Lincolnshire. :)

    Hi, took your advice and bought the same insulation. I also went for some Reflextix and silver tape to go over the insulation and create a moisture barrier. Was this something you considered? Ruled it out? Thanks again

    • @RickandHeather
      @RickandHeather  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, the insulation is plastic based and was fine in my VW, the factory stuff is actually foam type, I’m more worried about that....

      @@RickandHeather Thanks for the quick response. Quick bit of research on moisture barriers in vans shows that some people are not agreeing with the current line of thought that barriers are important suggesting that they can cause more trouble than they save.
