I'm wondering if she has any emotional support. Forcing yourself to do things that are anxiety inducing (like applying for a job) while already constantly anxious is crossing your own boundaries big time, and without a safe person to support you can only make things worse in the future (by learning that pushing yourself (=on adrenaline) and ignoring your alarm system is the default way). She is only 22 and shouldn't have to fix this on her own, but within community (in my opinion) 💚

She is skirting around her true situation and he’s not pushing for more. I know when I say yeah a lot I’ve switched off and I’m not connecting with the person. But that is his lack of understanding, depth, something. I hope this changes as they go along.

Damn, she's brave to keep going when she was upset. Don't think I could've done that, even without an audience.

I received tremendous benefit by listening to this session. I've been in therapy for a very lonnnnnggggg time. Experienced a recent death in the family which has set me back. Sanaya is doing great facing her fears!

I totally relate to this young lady. She did really well! These conversations are not easy. Thankyou for sharing Alex. Love learning from your amazing insight in my own healing journey.🌻🌻🌻

Wow, I felt Sunaya's overwhelm in this session ikes. Alex seemed as though he was talking at her not with her, which is not his usual way and it surprised me. She seemed deflated by the end of the session.

I wonder why Alex chose to have a teaching/coaching type session rather than a more inter personal approach given that she's still so fragile and distressed. She shows enormous courage, very moving.

I agree. This session seemed more like Tony Robbins than therapy.

It depends on what her goal was for therapy. Limited therapy sessions do take a mix approach. Im hearing alot of CBT approach

It did seem like he was playing to the audience just a tad. A couple times I wanted to say, "we know you're qualified, now can the TedTalk spiel and put all your energies into the young lady's problems."

His not addressing her but the audience. It's about marketing his business... rather than personally helping her

Well done Sunaya (and Alex). Therapy is hard work but the rewards are worth it. I like the full sessions. It feels like I've experienced the therapy session too alongside you Sunaya and benefited from your discussions. Keep going Sunaya. I'm cheering you on. Going to show this session to my 20 year old daughter who is suffering with anxiety too. Xx

It is so true how we have learned patterns with anxiety sometimes going way back to childhood ,for me its freeze ..I remember the first time I truly clocked it ..I found myself clinging to furniture and being terrified to move ..this was after a head injury and was terrified of knocking my head ...took a while to bring down this anxiety but still to this day if I knock myself on the head even just lightly i go right back to the big injury and it can take up to an hour to calm down ....such a brave young girl to do this ..I am sure it will help other young people as well as anyone actually .

A lovely young lady. I hope she finds something that suits her. I admire her desire to do well in her life. It's a horrible feeling, facing the unknown.🙏

Great to follow the details of Sanaya’s brave journey in the longer sessions. I always learn from Alex’s input/ education as well as the client’s processing.

I just saw this episode on the Reset Conference (Day 2). How is Sanaya doing now? She's incredibly brave for going through therapy and publishing it to the world. Thank you. Watching your session helped me have a few ah-ha moments...and reminded me I need to call my therapist to reschedule an appointment I missed. 🙂

What a lovely girl you are Sanaya! Don’t be hard on yourself ! Your self esteem needs nurturing and overcoming shame regarding your relationship to the anxiety! I’d like to know a bit more about relationship with parents! ❤ crying is not a bad thing either! I would have liked a slightly softer approach and a bit less teachery/functional approach from Alex with this client! I feel she needs a bit more space for her voice, and gentler deeper exploration from her

And to Sanaya- Your journey will be incredible and you’ll never regret the work you do now. I had to go through this same journey and I’m at the other side as in I’m not scared of being anxious, I can just ‘sit’ in the present with it and name and accept the physical sensations and realise that the power of the emotion just ebbs away. It came one day out of the blue, after meditation, acceptance, and the RESET course. ( which I also found excruciating to watch because it put a spotlight on what I was trying to cover up) It was like a eureka moment and I’m excited for you to experience this same thing, which you will 💕💕💕 ( I never stop boring people with this- it was so life changing I want everyone to experience it!!)
