Japan and Germany have successfully turned around because of heavy American rebuilding and cultural influence, Israel does not have the money to rebuild Gaza as they still rely on American taxpayer money and will need it desperately after their economic decline. also, Israelies do not have any real cultural influence, in fact, all cultural significance they take from Palestinians such as food, dress, slang, etc., and of course the USA.

Plus he's not factoring in outside influences which aim to either legitimize violence if not outright promote it.

I think the word you're looking for is ethnic cleansing, which is a form of genocide, of the Uyghers who are of ethnic Turkic descent.

great discussion, thank you for this. I find the idea that making palestine rich would solve their problems to be a little naive.

no offence but noah views on foreign affairs seem to be really childish/naive. it's like listening to 12yo or someone who thinks about something for 5 min in their entire life and then presents his dumb views like it's something obvious.

I totally agree; this must be one of the lowest discussions of geopolitics absent on TH-cam. They have slim and knowledge of history and politics. it seems as if they were trying to be on the radar of the MSM.

that. and "insights" like "just let them prosper", "let the population grow", are some of the dumbest ideas in the history of dumb ideas. we tried that with china, a country on another continent that doesn't even explicitly hate US - let's see how this goes (don't even mention completely hostile people that are just outside your fence that explicitly want to murder you).@@JM-ct9mx

This is just an astroturfing propoganda channel. A small 1.7k sub channel alrready has sponsorship from Oracle and other companies is not organic.

Your guest should try asking a working class Brit why they voted Brexit, the answer will surprise him.
He should also brush up on the EU & Brit financial services.

Almost all econ profs & PhDs can't really discuss FP, IR, NatSec, Defense, Military affairs with much competence.
Calling a country and its people names doesn't really help understand the issues that are faced in the middle east.
    the solutions are absurd,
To compare Israel with Armenia is not a realistic comparison as Israel GDP is $600bn yr
if they opened up their economy more they could 2x their economy.
West Bank economy is 4x per capita what Gaza is (IMF).. maybe cover this. Hamas is the reason its economy is weak not Israel.

Cringe. These two are the best example of the dunning-kruger effect.
