I bought my S2000 brand new in 2004. Silver with black and red interior. Took a month to get a hold of one with that exterior/ interior color combination. Sad day when I had to turn it for an SUV haul my new born around. I have had other sports cars afterwards, none have been as rewarding to me. Very well balanced car, especially for a cabriolet.
Sorry to hear you had to sell yours. Hope you get another one soon. When you child is old enough you can take them out for a ride. I do it with my kids all the time, they love it.
Great unmolested collectible car that’s getting very rare and represents an era that will never be duplicated. You’ll never regret holding on to this gem, but you will if you ever sell.
Yep, the Ap1 is really the only "true s2000". The Ap2 is more refined and "improved" but it is not a better s2000. Not as the Honda engineers envisioned it to be.
I found my S2k back in 2018. The original owner traded it back to the original Honda dealer they purchased it from. It had 55K miles at the time and I got it for 18k. If I tried buying my same car right now I wouldn't be able to afford it.
I got my 05 rio yellow s2k back in 2017 with 63k miles for 15.5k since I work for the Honda dealer the 71 year old lady traded it in at. I bought a Mügen hardtop for it and love the car. I still think it’s over rated imo but still a fun weekend car. I drive it maybe 1200miles a year. Great video 👍
Love your transparency on the costs,....wondering what my 03 with all 10 tags and 60 000 miles is worth, I've owned it 17 years, na I'm not going to sell it😅
I have used different shippers. I usually use someone who was recently used by a friend, etc. so I have a good recommendation. Make sure they ship it enclosed the entire way.

Good point, Ricky. I regret selling the two I had before this one.
Great review. You were fortunate to find such a conscientious dealership owner and now you have a beautiful and very collectable car.
Yes I was
All 3 have been AP2s, you gotta go scratch that AP1 itch next! Miss my '03 a lot, hopefully can get back in to one again someday.
Good point, haven't driven an AP1 in a very long time

One just sold for 120,000$ with 9k miles.

Awesome car. I used to have one, wish I never sold it
Hope you get another one jojo
That is the way car dealers should handle a bad situation. Kudos to that dealer
Yes, Kudos to them indeed !
Definitely a long term hold.
Yep, i agree
Great video, always liked these
Thank you
Great content! Is there any mechanic you'd recommend for an s2k in/near Bergen County, NJ?
I have been using Mahwah Honda. Acura dealers should service it as well
Great Video. Which shipping company do you use?
I've used different companies. I will have to check
Do you have a recommendation for a shipping company? You seem to have great luck with whomever you use.
