I had been looking for this topic for several years. And didn't find any course. If you want to learn character animation, you have to learn Maya. Believe me, Maya is much more comfortable when it comes to character animation
Until the moment they add such a simple feature as seeing which material an object has without having to go into the material editor, I wont e coming back to Max. Its SO annoying that such a simple thing as a material list in the objects settings window hasnt been added. Every freaking 3d software out there has it. It sounds like a very simpleamd stupid detail, but its one of those things that make it obvious how old fasshiones 3ds has gotten over time
3ds max is still alive lol??? Last time i used it was in 2005 and i used Zbrush after that…dang i am happy 3ds max still rocks i might get back to it and i am sure ill have to relearn my 3d modeling skills.

WRONG. Blender = jack of all trades, master of NONE. Most pros don't use Blender and no, pros are not moving to blender more and more, that's only your own perception. Blender needs at least another 10 years to mature.
3ds max is progressing too slowly, it's too bloated, too fat, and it's almost dead. In Chinese job postings, it's rare to see requirements for using 3ds max software. Most of them require the use of C4D, UE5, U3D, etc. 3ds max has been eliminated, killed by its own self-righteous, pretentious interface design, and the mentality of not wanting you to learn how to make software. Is your interactive interface designed just for you? It's quite unfriendly to people who are learning. I've been using 3ds max for almost 20 years, and I'm still daunted by your particle system! I can only use the simplest particles so far, and I think this is due to your excellent interactive design and complex implementation steps. I only realized now that I chose the wrong software! I wasted my life! Now I can only make some simple videos to make a living, because you are almost useless. If you are useful, I don't want to use you anymore, because your learning time cost is too high and it's not worth it!

Unreal & Zbrush I can understand, they're a standard when it comes to game companies and Unreal has been very aggressive in terms of character animation support of late in an effort to eliminate the need to use any DCCs, Max needs to step up its game ASAP.
Sorry, now there is the retopology as before. Amd as an option you can install retopology flow that will be on the cloud, but is not replacing the local one.

Not a change, but customable, which it seem they invested in the work flow.

You can see in Scene Explorer. There is also Material Explorer. You can also see in object properties dialog.

A agree with you. But the UV editors in Max are much better than Blender.

Many parts of max are multi threaded, and more and more parts are becoming multi threaded. There is no DCC that is multi threaded 100% all the time.

Sorry, now there is the retopology as before. Amd as an option you can install retopology flow that will be on the cloud, but is not replacing the local one.
It's an additional tool, not a replacement for the existing Retopology modifier.
