KDF deployed to Kanyerus area of West Pokot along Kenya-Uganda border to rid the region of criminals

Kenya defence forces have been deployed to Kanyerus area of West Pokot along the Kenya-Uganda border to rid the region of criminals behind the recent spate of banditry incidents and restore order in the disturbed region. This comes amid tension in the area after bandits raided, killing residents before driving away hundreds of cattle. The tension was escalated after the killing of a councilor in neighbouring Uganda.
