    That was a great intro and the explanation was top notch like normal

      Yes would’ve mentioned but originally thought they had to be on! They do not. And thanks!

    Garmin headquarters is a scary place and that intro was hilarious! You might be able to turn GPS off even in running mode (or your copied run activity). Interesting video and good feedback for Garmin. 👌

      Yes it worked! Why the hell didn't I try that before.... I swear - good thing I have smart friends like you. I passed it along to my G contact and she said she'd pass it to the Running team - who knows if serious. Thanks, Matt!

    Do you still find it useful a year later for CrossFit workouts or still use it a year later?

    How do you add the anaerobic and aerobic feature to the screen?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s under the heart rate fields actually. You can add each one separately or “training effect gauge “

    Good Morning. Good videos. Do you think that with any update of the fenix 7 will come the function of HCG?

    The stamina metric is based on your specific fitness for running or cycling. That doesn’t match up with cross fit. It’s results are not going to be useful. The recovery data won’t work properly either because it’s looking at the cycling and running based metrics so you’ll likely have to high a stamina rating to start with after hard days. If you’re a runner or cyclist though it’s pretty cool and you can use it to do unstructured intervals or max out a long steady effort with good confidence once you have about 4 weeks of data.

    Is there something you have to do in order to get that watch band on a 955? Does it use the same pins that comes with the watch?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Link to bank in description, and you have to remove the 955 like an old-school one - simply with a knife to pop out the pins. Then compress and put them back in and you can use whatever quick fit you want. Thanks!

    Surprised to see you’re still wearing the whoop. Has it been more accurate for you lately with updates, etc.? Do you have a whoop team?

      Hey! Yes had to go back to it to be able to continue to do comparative reviews - esp w training readiness just now out. Hoping they will expand their offering at some point for movement based calculations alongside HR driven ones. Thanks!

    what about weight liftung?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I have found stamina tracking to be useful for any workout type but nothing tracks muscular strain or workload currently. So if you are wanting to know how much further you can push a muscle group before hitting truly deep failure there's currently not a device that can do that.

    Really appreciate the review, do you think i would be able to use the stamina bar for something like indoor ice hockey?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey and yes - you just have to copy a run profile because it only appears as a data option for running or biking primarily

    • @SMONclips
      @SMONclips ปีที่แล้ว

      @fitgearhunter thanks, so i was able to create a custom workout with the stamina bar. And when i played ice hockey there was no information on thw bar. Is it because i just go the watch and therefore there isnt enough data yet ?

    Thanks so much for these great reviews! Im newish to CrossFit and have been wanting to buy a watch to track the workouts as well as day to day metrics. I'm in the UK and currently I get buy a new Garmin 245 for the same price as the Polar Pacer, which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance!! 💯😁

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry for delayed response! I would go for the Pacer over the 245, but would really recommend seeing if you can bump up to the price point for the 255 - it is a HUGELY different watch than the 245, and offers a million more features and benefits than the Pacer - like a lot. Let me know what you go with!

    Stamina is essentially based on heart rate as 100% of the metrics from firstbeat labs.
    Btw trainning crossfit style only (anaerobic) ends bad health wise.

    • @fitgearhunter

      Thanks! And yes - definitely have to mix in low aerobic impact and high aerobic workouts as well.
