What a great and interesting idea for a video Trev. I especially liked the tour of the aircraft. Thank you for posting and keep up the good work. I love your videos
Thankyou so much for doing this video. I love watching you fly and camp and this video gives me more understanding on what's what and I think you literally are LIVING THE DREAM. keep your videos coming. Thankyou Trev. 👍👍👍
Good evening Trev! Joe 90 comes to mind, I’m sure you was a good Boy Scout in your youth, it pays to be safe than sorry and have all the home comforts possible in the field, and there’s me thinking you was roughing it (only joking). Have a good one see you in the next one. 👍👍👍👍👍
@@trev.lee.adventure Morning Trev that was my path too, Cubs, Boy Scout, army cadets, a while ago I was thinking about my life (as you do). I’ve been in some form of uniform for over sixty years, scary (like you it didn’t do us any harm) have a good one.👍👍👍👍👍
I once managed to fit my bike to my Alpha for a trip from Coalville to the Isle of Wight! Think I had the wheels on the back seat and the frame lashed to drag links and the seat frame. I remember arriving with a very stiff neck because the front forks were constantly hitting my headset and I had to fly with my head to one side. Great vid again Trev. X
A bike is definitely an awkward thing to carry on a Flexwing. I have thought about an electric scooter for nipping out with the petrol cans looking for fuel.
Thanks for the camping gear and aircraft look around, always been wondering and guesing about the fuel consumption instrument, as not a flyer, a boater. we have seen a small airfield near Twycross in our area. Thank you for the videos taking us to places we would not normaly visit or see from your perspective.
Very informative video Trev, l have a Khyam tent and they are quality, looks like all the stuff you have is just as good and perfect for the job, my question is do you start with a full petrol tank and then empty the cans into the main tank before you leave for home? I also had a motorcycle with a Rotax engine 500cc single 4stroke, totally reliable but I love the twin ignition systems on the aviation engine for complete safety! Best Andy.
It all depends really. I always start off with a full fuel tank if possible. If I'm out for a few days or more I will aim to keep the cans full as a back up. But if I'm on a last leg I would put them in to get me home if that works.
@trev.lee.adventure l know😄and the b17's used to thunder out of there and grafton underwood, was wondering if you've flown over the ww1 battlefields of france and Belgium?
Really interesting thank you Trev. I do some motorcycle touring and have to think carefully about packing smart too. I used to fly a Mainair many years ago from St Michael's airfield near Preston.
Fantastic video. I would love to see how you steer on the ground. I have seen you many times with full lock but you hands seem to be on the wing bar. Kind regards and fly safe James
Many thanks Trev for making this video that both myself and others had suggested. I found it very interesting and informative. I was impressed at how quickly you said you could gain altitude - even with a passenger on board. Your take off acceleration seems very swift, I guess that’s from the powerful Rotax engine your aircraft has. Could you tell me what your max flying time would be with a full tank of fuel based on your 80 mph cruise speed? You have a wonderful hobby there, keep up your good work and keep making videos. Mark.
Another great upload. Been loving your channel since I subscribed. Now here’s MY question. As a taxi driver I had a stroke about 15 months ago. I had to get an A2 medical which means there’s a 12 month timeframe between having the stroke and passing the A2 medical. Do you think I’d qualify to fly like you do? Thank you for your time and effort Trev in making these great videos.
Thank you Trev, perfect instructions and answered a lot of questions I had been thinking about. The engine is more powerful than I thought, about the same a light aircraft ?
Thanks heaps trev for your informative video. I do similar stuff here in Australia. A question I have is you seem very confident talking to control towers .Is that something you have done a lot of?
Iv'e done a fair bit. I enjoy flying into larger airports. Have you checked out my arctic expedition series? We were flying into international airports. 👍
Nice one Trev - lots of useful info there - had not considered a foil mat in conjunction with an inflatable thermarest type mattress. One question - on the RHS of the panel you have a mixture control labelled - is it connected and do you use this? The various 912s I have flown with have not had this feature but they have been 3-axis. Thank you!
Good morning from Nz Trev. Are the Flexiwing aircraft classified as "experimental," because having had a heart event 10 years ago, I'm still not allowed to get a medical for flying. But my understanding, under our CAA ruling down here, is that I would be ok to fly, IF indeed it has the "Experimental" classification. Yeah, I'm thinking about getting one......if all things fall into place.! Thanks for a brilliant "walk through" mate. Great stuff. All the very best from down here.
Hi Brian. I think it's unclassified but not experimental. At the moment I am on a self declaration medical but I will be going for a class 2 as I want to travel out of Europe. Thanks for your comment 😊
Very informative, thanks for this Trev 👍
No problem 👍
Thank you Trev for a well-produced and informative video. I have picked up some useful ideas from you.
Glad to help 😎

Thanks for watching Brian. I wasn't in the scouts but had many years in the army cadets of which I loved 😉

Very informative. Love your flight videos
Thank you glad you like them!
Great vid very informative has answered a few questions I had thanks trevor
Glad to help
Thanks for sharing this! Love the flying videos but this was really informative too - always wondered how you packed everything for the Arctic trip.
Thanks for watching. I have been meaning to do this video for ages. 👍
A lot of useful info Trev. Very interesting to see what you take with you and all the controls you have in the cockpit. Great vid 👍
Thanks for watching 👍

A very comprehensive equipment list to camp with and a good guide to all the flight controls.
Thanks Brian👍

Fantastic trev really interesting, i don't live to far from deenethorpe 👍
Deenethorpe is the microlight capitol of the world 😉

I use a similar setup on my FJR 1300 bith the bag on the back seat over my paniers
That was great to see your set up and what you have to take 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
great vid trev
Thanks 👍
Thanks for sharing your packing list and mounting method.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi thanks for your comment. I steer the front axel with my feet. 👍😉
Great video. I just got myself one of those knives after seeing in a previous video good bushcraft all rounder and lovely workmanship.
Very nice!

Thanks for your comments. I can do 4 hours at 80mph air speed
Very interesting and informative, nice one Trev
Thank you 😊
Great video Trev. Very interesting and informative. How much does all your equipment you loaded into the bag weigh?
To be honest i have never weighed it. But the extra fuel and equipment dosn't weigh anywhere near the weight of a medium sized passanger.
Another great upload.

I was supposed to include that I’m 53.
To be honest I really don't know. Thanks for watching my channel
Well I will be 58 soon. and life is really starting to happen. Keep at it 👍
Thank you Trev, perfect instructions and answered a lot of questions I had been thinking about. The engine is more powerful than I thought, about the same a light aircraft ?
far better climb rate than most light aircrft.
👍

Yes I have and I find it very interesting. Do you have a spot to write what's said to you from the control towers?
Do you have items that are always in the aircraft? I generally fly with a first aid kit, tie downs and a small set of tools.
Yes I have a first aid kit in the wing pocket plus tie downs straps, tool kit and de rigging kit in the pod bag.

The mixture control is not in use so that's why I forgot to mention it. The foil mat works really well
