  • Toyota Tacoma! Today we dive deep into the legend that is the Toyota Tacoma. From its humble beginnings to the brand-new, cyberpunk-inspired 4th generation, this truck has redefined utility and off-road capability for decades. Buckle up as we explore why the Tacoma remains a staple in the truck world, even if it is a much different truck than the humble little pickup it started life as that changed the world.
    In This Video:
🔹 Current Gen Highlights: Meet the brand new 4th gen Tacoma! It's bigger, more muscular, and topped Car and Driver's list of midsize pickups. With modern features, updated powertrains, and a variety of trims (SR, SR5, TRD Prerunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, Trailhunter, TRD Pro), there's a Taco for everyone.
We explore the roots of the Tacoma, starting with the Toyota Hilux. Learn how the Hilux evolved into the Tacoma we know today and why it became a cultural icon. From the first-gen's debut in 1995 to the present, we cover the major milestones and updates that made the Tacoma a beloved truck.
    Generations Breakdown:
First Gen (1995-2004): Stylish, capable, and fun - this was the ultimate daily driver that could go off-road with ease.
Second Gen (2005-2015): Brolic design, new powertrains, and off-road prowess. The X-Runner returns with a supercharged option!
Third Gen (2016-2023): Supreme leader of the truck universe with advanced features, more trim options, and exceptional sales.
And of course, the all-new fourth gen.
The 4th gen Tacoma might be the best one yet, but it marks a shift from the simple, affordable DNA of its predecessors. Whether you're a fan of the classic Tacomas or the modern marvels, there's no denying the Tacoma's impact on the truck world.

Latest sales figures show a huge drop in the 4th gen sales. These things will NOT hold their resale value like the 3rd gen and below do.

Taco transmission problems and fear of engine failures like the Tundra, might be the problem.

I have a 24 manual. I heard of like 2 or 3 faulty transmissions. Like someone said first year problems. I haven't heard of any engine problems. 5700km and I think it's the best Tacoma out of the 6 I have owned. This one is a manual base offroad and still think it's a nicer truck then the 3rd gen Pro I traded in for it

I've had my 02 4×4 single cab , longe wheel base Taco since it rolled off of the lot 23 years ago, and I wouldn't sell it for anything. An additional 10k in mods over the years and sitting at 223,458 miles , normal oil changes, and tune ups with almost no issues . The new one just doesn't do it for me.

Until the engine blows up. I hope they fix that for the 2025s. I'm not hating; I'm just stating the facts. I love Toyo! I had a 2022 Avalon Hybrid I loved, but I traded it in on the 2024 Crown Max and love it even more. Toyo makes excellent vehicles. Unfortunate the engine problems on the Tacoma the last few years.

@@bx_718stryker7 the transmissions are failing at a very high rate. They will eventually be recalled like the Tundra.
And there is no reason for the price hike. It's made with cheaper materials.

    • @bx_718stryker7
      @bx_718stryker7 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@@nathangibson2114 I'm not disagreeing with you at all. As soon as I saw about 5 reported transmission failures last week for the Tacoma I knew to just keep my 2020. I also don't see how they can justify the price of the trd off roads and trailhunters, which is what I was looking at but not anymore. Prices aside, the few lucky ones that have not had transmissions issues are loving the extra power and interior updates

@@bx_718stryker7 if and when they get it fixed, I’ll definitely look back at them.
