your shading style is so wonderful, always create gorgeous faces😀
Thank you for this tutorial, I'm already putting this knowledge to use.
Wonderful tutorial ❤
Thank you so much, I'm gunna try this today 😊🖤
Super useful, thank you!
Im going to start today. Thank you soo much
Congratulations on your work, thanks for bringing analog art to life. There is no comparison, what is handmade has a much greater value, it is unique. I still can't connect or feel attracted to the illustration made on computer.
Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱!
You’re an inspiration ❤
ME GUSTA COMO PINTAS...ESA TECNICA ES ASOMBROSA..
TE FELICITO ..BUEN VIDEO!
Great vídeo!!
Wow! Es ist cool mal sowas zu sehen. Das ist schon sehr 'trust the process' wenn man sieht wie du auf dem schattigen Bereich mit der dunklen Farbe anfängst. Beeindruckend!
Wow, danke!!! :D
Outstanding!!
Thank you so much!
Great colours give me some skin.
very nice painting❤️😍
😍🎨 Maybe this will make me start
Awesome!
Can you re-release older videos like this or film them with revised info after so much experience? It's really fantastic but underloved!

My pleasure @@LiobaBrueckner 😇 !!!
tolles, informatives Video 💚 schade, dass es nur so wenig Aufmerksamkeit bekommt 🤔
aww, danke! ja finde ich auch ungerecht XD
Fantastic video. What brand & type of brush you are using? Thank you. ATB from South Africa
I love your tip about simplifying the shapes for shading ! at 3:05 can I ask, what effect did you apply on the picture (with photoshop I guess ?) to have those tones stanging out from one another ? thanks
No! I can't recommend Fabriano anymore as they changed their paper - I now use Clairefontaine instead! As for the photoshop effect, I believe it's called mosaic or cristallize - just browse through the filter gallery in PS, you'll find it there! ^^
What brushes do you use for the eyes and lashes- they are quite thin? Trish
what if the person is wearing makeup? Do you adjust the colors differently?
Lioba, please, pleeeeese tell me you're not using Opera Pink in your paintings! Unless, of course, you're not selling the original and making prints. Opera is super duper highly fugitive. It's a beautiful color in some brands (not too neon) but dang does it fade fast!
Yes, I paint with Opera Rose, with neon Pink color even for more than 6 years. I've always told my collectors that fading is somewhat to expect with watercolor painting unless they are kept entirely out of the sun. So far I hadn't have any of my collectors informing me of fading yet but some might have probably faded. Unfortunately i haven't found a replacement for opera pink yet but ig there is any that has a better light fastness I would switch to that of course!
@@LiobaBrueckner I also used to use Opera Pink/ Opera Rose. However, I have found some alternatives that are lightfast but also very vivid (however, yes, nothing beats the neon-bright color from opera rose). They are:
1. Geranium Red, White Nights
2. Quinacridone Scarlet, Holbein
3. Quinacridone Coral, Daniel Smith
4. Quinacridone Red, Rembrandt
Basically around PR 207-208 color family. They are pink with a spec of orange, very good to for blush on face
Just varnish….🤷🏻♀️
@@LiobaBrueckner varnish? I’ve seen many watercolour artists doing this now as galleries seem to prefer it to matted and glass frames.

There is no substitute for Opera Rose, unfortunately. It made a beautiful skin tone when you mixed it with yellow ochre. Simply gorgeous.
