Oh I just noticed them in my lawn this week. I think sometimes mushroom helps to release nutrients from the soil. Our weather in NE Ohio was the same, dry for weeks and then too much rain.
Folks if you want to control these do not smash them back into the ground! Remove gently to avoid letting spores back into the ground and place them in a plastic bag and disposed of properly!
Our garden guy said that mushrooms usually grow because of organic matter under the lawn like rotten tree roots etc.

Glad to get some rain but yes to much all at once. We were in desperate need of it tho
Thanks for the info. My lawn sometimes gets mushrooms and I always wondered if it was a bad thing.
I'm in FLA usually on rotted rooted fungus moisture.bsttery ugh.. dynamite lol
