  • This resin tray combo of blue, gold, and green turned out so lovely! My first pour turned out muddier than I would of liked so I started over. I found pouring the colors individually in a fluid way and using a heat gun with a lower heat setting allowed me to really craft the movement and flow of the piece. The gold accents at the end were the perfect amount of elegance to finish the piece off.
Featured colors are colorberry midnight, mint/aquamarine, noddway red gold, arteza light olive green/olive green/white. 13"x13" Please like and subscribe. Every little bit helps! :)

I didn't choose art, it chose me. Since the age of 5 I knew I was meant to be an artist and have pursued that passion ever since. I've worked as a graphic designer professionally my entire adult life and have always done abstract art on the side. In mid 2020 I was working on a commissioned piece and was asked if I could make something in the style of pour painting. I had been pinning acrylic pouring/fluid art on Pinterest for a few years but had know idea how to create it. Thanks to the many wonderful artists on TH-cam who were willing to share their creation videos, tips, and tutorials on liquid acrylic painting I was able to start creating work in this style and I wanted to share that experience with you. Make sure to like and subscribe to my channel to follow along my journey of failures and triumphs and see all the fun techniques I try for the first time. There will also be tips and tricks I learn along the way along with easier beginner projects you might want to try at home! Comment below if there’s something you’ve seen that you want me to try I’d love to hear from you!

Simply gorgeous, you are so incredibly inspiring, I love that fluid art is versatile.
Did you do any prep on the tray before you poured the resin?
    Thank you for sharing 🤗🦋

Thank you! Yes I believe I put a coat of blue paint on first that way the wood didn't show through.

@@flowwithitdesigns5240 and blue paint would work. I just used some leftover pour paint I had. You could use acrylics straight out of the tube as well

That is beautiful. Could you please tell me if you let the layers dry in between laying them? I saw that you put a clear layer down before the gold. Thank you

Yes I let the first colored layer cure before doing the clear and gold layering.

@@flowwithitdesigns5240 I chose to let it dry so I could control the gold layer better. You could do them all together but at a certain point the resin will start blending into a muddy mess. Therefor I've found working in layers gives you more control. Hope that helps!
