Dress is fab Deb. You could add a wee cuff onto your dress. Pockets !! Are essential Live stream would be great but it would be the middle of the night for me 🤣🤣 Loving the Poncho 🙋🏼🏴
thanks for your comments. I have yet to settle on a live day and time, will let my followers know when I figure it all out. You never know it might work out to fit into your time zone a bit better, here's hopingHappy sewing
Hi Deb, thanks for chiming in with comments. Always nice to hear from you. I have yet to settle on a live day and time, will let my followers know when I figure it all out. I have a bit going on with elderly parents. Happy sewing
Thankyou. I get alot of wear out of the poncho. The colours are so autumnal and go with most of my winter clothes. I agree, the colours were a great choice
Hi Deb. Love your dress your poncho looks really cozy. I would love to see you live. I love all your yarns. Very inspiring. I am a bit worried about our Summer. Our weather has been really unusual. It's going to be interesting. Have a great week❤❤
Hi Katrina, I have yet to settle on a live stream day and time, will let my followers know when I figure it all out. I have a bit going on with elderly parents. Happy sewing
@@sewingseamswithdeb Oh no. It's seams we are all in the same boat. I hope it all goes well. When you are ready let us know. Those annoying spanners like to get in the way. It could be the supermoon. Who knows. Hope they are OK.❤❤
Love your dress and poncho Deb, I sewed top this year in viscose and my neckband stood out a bit like yours so rather than unpicking it and possibly stretching my garment I carefully folded the band in half to the inside of the garment, hand basted and then stitched it down. It worked perfectly and I actually preferred the look of a narrower neck band. It might be an alternative solution for you. The fabric is gorgeous by the way.❤
Thanks for your suggestion about turning the neckband over. Not sure how I will go with it yet. I will wear it a couple of times first before doing anything with it. Have a great weekend, hopefully some sewing?
Dress turned out beautifully Deb, congratulations. Our preferences do change over time don’t they. some here in Melbourne today. Poncho is really cute Meant to be about 19 degrees wth clear skies, so fingers crossed. H ave a great week
I was at Bendigo Woollen Mill this week. After using their wool for over 30 years it was very exciting. One of the purchases was Prism ( though in a blue colour way). Also went to Wangaratta woollen mill. I did damage there to. Love your poncho and dress. Enjoyed the gas bagging!
Thanks for your comments Karen. Great to visit those amazing woollen stores isnt it? Especially when you have been dealing with them for years and you finally get to take a good look around. There are often bargains to be had too!!
I absolutely love your poncho and new dress! Congratulations on swatching! I'm very guilty of avoiding this and you have reminded me of how important it is. Looking forward to seeing your new makes.... particularly what you make with the linen you have. I bought some linen last month from Lincraft and think I'm going to make the hinterland dress. I know it's very original, haha, but i haven't worked with linen before and i thought I'd use a tried and true pattern for it. I don't have any other sewers in my real life, so if be very interested in an online live session or zoom. Enjoy your knitting! My mojo has taken a hike and hasn't returned yet unfortunately.
Thanks for your comments. Great idea to use a Tried and True pattern for using the linen the first time. I have yet to settle on a live stream day and time, will let my followers know when I figure it all out. I have a bit going on with elderly parents. Happy sewing
Ha ha I just commented on last week’s post saying Freya so it was good I didn’t have to wait for reveal. When I made it I also found sleeves short and length short even after adding length. Lettuce hem is still the name for that finish and great idea. Would you have had enough fabric for the fluted sleeves even if you had thought about it? Great poncho and love the outfit. Aw what a shame about the socks second sock drag will be even worse, but it will be worth it. Have a great productive crafting week 😊
Love the poncho, I wonder if I’d wear something like that 🤔 Your dress turned out great, awesome spring vibes! I’ve never been able to wear many dresses due to my short waist as they never sat right. Now I can make my own I’m trying to learn what length suits me and I think it’s either just below the knee or just below the calf (and longer) so I totally get the change of length decision. I’ve got the Olympia too and was looking at that recently for an easy pull on dress! I’d be interested in joining a live, I am assuming you’re talking am? Have a great sewing week!
HI Hayley, thanks for your comments. I have made the Love Notions Olympia dress quite a few times and it is really comfortable to wear. I want to make it in a cool fabric for the hot summer though, most of the ones I have I have used quite hot fabric, which doesnt help! I have yet to settle on a live day and time, will let my followers know when I figure it all out. I have a bit going on with elderly parents. Happy sewing
