- Creating Speed & Athleticism by Microdosing in the Weight Room ... How to Train Speed - What Makes You Fast? This is part one of presentation on speed development. Part two coming soon!
Much more to come over the next few weeks!
Too many times, in amateur athletics, an athletes career gets cut short based on the fact that they are simply just not fast enough to play “at the next level”. Whether it is a 40 yd dash, 60 yd dash or a big vertical jump, we aim to get you the times and heights you need to turn heads and get noticed.

cant wait for part 2!
Nice job , Chris .
Have you thought about doing a farmer carry as a potentiation before a sprint ?
I walk for about a minute with 2x 25 lbs plates barefoot before doing Sprints on my assault TM .
It has has really helped keep my Achilles tendinitis away and I can run up to 19mph for a few seconds even at age 70 !
Every kind of optimally loaded calf raises helps to heal/prevent achilles tendinopathy, not just farmer walk
Best time to lift weights is probably in different dedicated sessions away from sprinting so that you can be 100% fresh when sprinting
However at your age you can keep doing your routine. I wouldnt change anything since it s working well for you and it s keeping you healthy which is the most important thing
@@graziamaravalli1925thanks dude: as a Physical therapist Assistant for 30+ years I know all those other exercises!
Do you walk on your toes to?
@@williambrewster1524 Yes, back and forth on the carpet and even with slow jogging : walking backwards is very good too.
Hey, I came across your content and it's interesting. I read in a blog post your wrote "Michael Jordan’s coach put a book out that was just plain bad. The program would work great for Jordan but no one else." I was curious to know what or why you thought this was the case?
I'm asking this having tried the program and it seemed like there's a lot of overlap with what you and Cal Dietz recommend such as doing most legwork bilaterally and with a free heel as well as starting with isometric contractions, then eccentric power phase, and then trying to move weight quickly in last phase? Not an expert or professional in training so more wanting to know why/what is bad about it?
