Actually it's just a RØDE Lavalier Mic, a RØDE MINIFUR-LAV for wind reduction and a 3 meter extension cable for the mic. I ductaped the mic at the back between the exhausts on the outside and strapped the cable to the front of the car into the GoPro on my head. So actually a pretty cheap budget setup to test it out only, but seems to be working well :D @@VQVaughn
@@PhoenixX2004Lol. I could handily afford one for sure, no problem at all. BUT, it's precisely this terrible engine noise which puts me off from ever owning this car. I'm shopping right now but don't even bother looking at this generation of M car. I'd be much happier with the slower and older s65 M3 because it sounds magnificent compared to this. That's how off-putting this exhaust is. Totally destroys the experience of an otherwise great car. I'd honestly be embarrassed to be seen in something that sounds this awful, but I get that's a highly personal opinion.
@@zlover7777 I've watched a lot of videos of that along with various other mods to help better the sound but honestly, while it is an improvement, I still find it to not be a great sounding engine. Single turbo helps more I find and even there, I found the N54 to have a better sound more often than the S55 does when both are single turbo. Even the N54 didn't sound great with twins, so I'm not trying to be harsh on the S55, but it sounds worse than the N54 does for some reason to my ears and most everyone I've talked to about it. S58 isn't much better. Just the nature of the engine I guess.
Have you even ever heard this car live bruh? This thing sounds glorious, the issue here is this guy can't setup his mic, his mic is probably too close to the exhaust and it's not capturing the sound at an optimal range so it makes it just sound loud like freaking civic at 3am.
