  • As some folks may know, I had my ACL reconstruction surgery recently after a judo injury completely ruptured the ligament.
Here I am doing at exactly two-months post op (surgery was September 4, 2020) doing a quick check on my movement, performing a couple of stances and motions mimicking kicks as I slowly get my knee acclimated to taking weight again. I'm still a LONG way off from spinning and jumping kicks, but every little bit of progress is helpful.
I'm a little behind schedule, but I'm planning on getting an update video done very soon to share some developments from the last couple of weeks and to talk about what is expected in the weeks to come.
If you'd like to follow along, consider subscribing and checking out the playlist for my ACL recovery. I also have videos on exercise science and martial arts, and I'm planning on getting back to making more of those soon. I will continue to chart my recovery as I bounce back and slowly regain the ability to kick, jump, roll, sweep, and throw. Stick around if that sounds interesting to you :)
    Thanks for watching!
