The thing is competition. There are so many absolutely brilliant pianists who will never make it as concert pianists. Judges are brutal, they have to be. But if you are not coming at least 3rd consistently in the big competitions, no chance. It's a bit silly really. Humans turn everything into war.

Not that he is not good, but there are many in the world who can play as well, if not better than him. Being a concert pianist is a very difficult job. You may think it's easy, seeing how some of the top tier concert pianists who make it look easy. But there are many more who are laboring in the middle tier. And they can all play as well as Paul.

Paul Barton I have grown to appreciate and he has possibly set the standard for all those who want to play the great and popular piano pieces requiring great technical skill. Paul does this very effectively with his modest approach explaining all details of the piece ,how he approaches it and then always rendering a flawless clean perfectly finished product. He does mostly Chopin where he is an expert . One could always learn from him much for free or pay someone like him over 100.00 dollars a lesson. Thank you Paul
