    Looks like a nice pump and review. I don't know why manufacturers don't include a 1/4" (6mm) JG fitting as default though. Many people use this line anyway and heaps of colours are available. It's the little things like the connectors for power and temp that set these apart from cheaper units.

    Absolutely love mine. Running 2 of em with a total of 7 pumps active. They are quality. No air, I like the temp probe even though I didn’t care for it when I bought it. Hint for anyone setting up is to dip the end of tubing in some hot water before trying to push onto pump head. Very snug fit. Only thing I found little strange so far is setting time delay on app. Have to set what time of the hour to run rather than time difference between another pump. But either way still no probs once you sus that out

    Watching this late - but very relevant now that dosing my 1st tank by hand is wearing thin, very thin....
    This unit is way more money than I wanted to spent, but I'm working on the theory that the "You get what you pay for" adage may hold true on things like this...
    Certainly don't want something thats either going to (a) Not last - Bad or (b) Dump a whole bunch of stuff into my tank in an uncontrolled manner - Worse
    Thanks for the review - showing how this looks on the phone especially useful...

    Yup Jebao will do things much much cheaper, I have one in my closet for a year as I never got around to using it, and finally dust it off to use... and the screen doesn't work. Quality so high they literally break over time without any use. That said, I went with a couple of the Kamoer mini pumps (forget the name), sure 4 of them are more expensive than this x4 unit, but I only need 2 channels of dosing not 4.

      hehehehe yeah, Jebao aren't known for standing the test of time....

    Great review Sam! Quick question, when you enter volume of your dosing container, does the unit send you a notification if your dosing container gets low???????? Thanks, Phil.

      To add on the Reefkpr's question, does it stop or pause when the container is empty?

    Anyone work out how to use on IOS? It’s not connecting

    • @ParkersReef
      @ParkersReef  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I use iOS. Make sure your router is using different names for 2.4 and 5ghz signals and then connect to just 2.4

      @@ParkersReef Yes thanks mate, i've done that with no luck. Ill have to swap it for another, might be faulty.

      Try another iOS device. I’ve had people bring Kamoer back to the shop and it connects to my phone just fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

      FIXED. Contacted the place I got it from. Newer model has an updated way to connect that supersedes the instructions.
      1) when you try connect to wifi select the router option on the app.
      2) on the doser clock the “network” option in the wifi menu then hold down the button on the “setting....” option that will appear.
      3) select the next option on the app and it will connect.
      4) if you have a slow connection then in the app reset the devices factory settings.
      Hope this helps anyone else. Cheers

    awful pump. Only connects on the 2.4 ghz, for those with certain wifi systems it simply doesnt work.

    • @ParkersReef
      @ParkersReef  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      not many Internet of things out there run off anything other than 2.4ghz :) The key is to set your wifi up to have separate channels for 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands

      only that it isn't cheap, but you only pay for it once :)
