Too bad it was the only exciting moment for me. I gave up HARD on the manga around... I think it was Itachi showing up. It was just kinda boring. Moved straight on to One Piece, loved the hell out of it.
@@theinimitablejora522 ironic you dropped it right before it started to really get good--especially since you went to 900 episode one piece xD. i love both though, great animes
@@natenatenate10Hey, One Piece hooked me from the start. Wonderfully paneled, great character designs that take advantage of every possible emotion, genius setup, fascinating powers, INCREDIBLE STORY ARCS- seriously, East Blue was just kinda okay-ish, but Chopper's backstory was HEARTBREAKING. I was in literal TEARS. And then Baroque Works, the BEST ARC IN THE SERIES, COMES RIGHT AFTER IT. I could go back to Luffy v Crocodile forever, man.
That bit where jiraya dies and naruto goes to the shop and buys 2 ice poles and cries whilst eating them on a bench in the dark, that was one of the most sadest things I've watched.
Oh, yes, as I read/watched Naruto in my teenage years, there was a whole bunch of pretty heartfelt moments that I remember crying and awing about. When Shikamaru's teacher died and he started smoking right until he got his revenge - and that last cigarette was his final blow! - oh god, so good, still one of my most favorite arcs in anime.
It's so strange to me how Demon Slayer ended after just 200 chapters. The old SJ would never have allowed that. I'm not complaining, I think it's a good thing, just very different.
GalactiCat Apprently the author had some stuff going on in her life so it was a second priority. But Shounen Jump kept making her release stuff so it became a bit... bad towards the end
Quality over quantity I mean one piece has kept up it's quality, rewarded the ongoing mysteries, kept the abilities diverse & creative, it's still going strong while keeping up the worldbuilding and not falling prey to a lot of the traps that the other 2 of the old big 3 had, power creep and overpowered abilities Naruto didn't really ever have any ongoing compelling mysteries, but it did have way better character design, varying locations and powers, that's why I think it's still way better than dbz, we grew up on it but it's so repetetive and dull, with no variation in arcs or anything OP definitely starts off more about the quest but the character building definitely gets really refined and fleshed out, each arc gets better for sure But demon slayer was such a refreshing new story, i wish we did get more Shingekis about to end too
Remember when TH-cam was pretty much naruto's fansite? Every song and every vid had naruto in it. Naruto was huge. It may of lost that momentum but that love will never go away. Naruto was just amazing back then.
bro it was crazy. Naurto AMV's introduced to so many dope rock songs that till this day are on my itunes library. The best one was Blood Stain Child Freedom.
I just watched Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden for the first time. I finished it all in about a month (skipping filler). The scores along with the story (although long) made me enjoy it that much more. The one time I remember it happening the most was when Kurama and Naruto become friends or whatever. The music hit and god damn I got goosebumps all over my entire body. The series just makes you feel emotional, idk. It’s crazy to describe.
Wow; it only took you a month? Impressive. it took me almost two months, though I watched some of the filler and I watched all of My Hero Academia before the shinobi war arc as, by that point, I needed to watch something else (not because of anything wrong with the show, but because I had been binge-watching for over a month).
More than half of Naruto's Filler was actually good, & I would recommend watching most of it. Really at times the problem with Naruto was getting access to it. I mean The 4th Great Ninja War hasn't been dubbed in full yet. Naruto is 1 of the greatest anime series to ever exist thanks to its insanely likable characters, & excellent well written overall story. Back to what I was saying with Naruto being hard to access, keep in mind Cartoon Network never showed the final 11 episodes of the original series for unknown reasons. As well as that Disney XD completely stopped showing Shippuden in 2011, because the series was becoming too dark. Which then left the wait of almost 3 years before the revived Toonami started showing Shippuden. Toonami is only now just starting the 4th Ninja World War, so basically we had to watch Naruto through Discs or by streaming it online obscurely. The Clones going on strike was a fun episode, Naruto filler can be amazing. I don't think Naruto ever actually dropped in quality like Bleach did. The War helped provide further lore on the Naruto World, it offered the chance to rematch characters like was the case with Kakashi vs Zabuza or the Sasuke Retrieval Squad vs the Sound 4. The reunion of Team Asuma was well done, as was Itachi freeing himself from Kabuto's control by bringing back that crow.
@Wildy Duce Last Movie & Boruto's Dubbing happened before the completion of Shippuden's English Dub. Not all of Shippuden was dubbed when I left that comment & I don't think the entirety of Shippuden has been dubbed just yet. Besides it's not like it's easy to access the English Dub.
Imagine a world where manga authors are not overworked and can just hone their skills and craft their stories with care... And then learn from the experience and make even better stories later.
@@fidelluz2942 The only problem is the high demand the audience has. Shonen Jump felt like they had to compete by cramming schedules per week to satisfy the audience without borinh them or receiving backlash for the long time intervals of manga publishing
@@richardmarin2538 Not really, most stories end up suffering in the long run. They start off good because it's what the author envisioned, but then he keeps getting pressed to release at a set pace, resulting in rushed art and plot holes, or to keep releasing indefinitely, resulting in repetitive arcs and bad storylines. Only a few exceptions come to mind, such as One Piece.
"One of Kishimoto's major strengths is working the emotions and narratives of his characters into the fights" Fucking this. I've been saying this forever. Well-animated fights are great, but ultimately a dime-a-dozen in anime. Fights that serve as artistic devices to dissect and further the character's motivations and personalities are infinitely more valuable. Put both together and you have Naruto's success in a nutshell.
The fight between Kakashi and Obito is probably the best example of this. No words are spoken to each other once. Just a duel between two fallen comrades from a time long past.
As someone who has a deep emotional connection to Naruto, I'm definitely aware of the issues the show has. but I think despite all its flaws, the good parts outshine the bad, and that's not just due to nostalgia. it saddens me that nowadays a lot of people are annoyed by naruto fans still talking about the franchise, despite its obvious influence on modern anime and film. naruto will always hold a special place in my heart, and I think the hidden meanings and insane amount of detail in the show are fantastic. It's definitely a series that has something for everyone, and I'll always love it.
As much as I like to joke about the characters and plot, I can’t deny that Naruto as a series is quite awesome and when emotional moments hit you, they hit perfectly.
I think Kaguya wasn't that bad of a plot device herself, people just love Madara so it was hard to accept they got rid of him like that. Her problem is that she is as unlikeble as possible. It's huge contrast to replace Madara, a villian that could be on multianime best villians list was replaced by a godlike zombie. NOBODY likes mindless powerhouses steered by weakling in background. Watching Kaguya and Zetsu is like going back to Fat Buu and Babidi in Dragon Ball Z. As soon as they killed of weakling laughing in background that was real villian and powerhouse evolved into something more serious the story got better. Here they did exactly opposite. I'm fan of Madara and I think that him being manipulated, backstabbed and betrayed in the end really well portrays what creating fake peace attempt was worth. His downfall was a bit symbolic, just Kaguya herself was lazy written. If she had Madara's character or similiar at least over half of hating people would tell everything is ok as it is.
@@nichoudha I think Naruto anime is just better than One piece and One piece manga is better than Naruto. Best way to enjoy One piece is definitely reading the manga, after the timeskip the anime is just unbearable.
I'll always remember watching it on toonami when I was younger I'll always love it because of that nostalgia and because it's actually a fantastic anime and I'll also keep it close as something very important to me
Glad shikamaru gets a pretty decent amount of spotlight in shippuden. He carries team 10. Ino & choji wasn't that interesting. Sad for neiji ,Lee & kiba. I liked them a lot but nowhere to be seen
He's a smart man. He's not too lazy to deal with life. He's efficient where it counts though he'll refuse to do anything out of his way without knowing if it's worth it. And he's a good friend
I honestly don't know How Oda does it...he literally is working his hardest and tiring himself out for us to read One Piece....and this is his 20th year doing it....I don't think he has taken hiatuses. But man, I won't ever complain about a chapter anymore this man is literally Dying for One Piece but I can tell he loves doing it.
Kishi mentioned that when Oda got hospitalized due to overwork he came to visit him. What he saw was Oda sitting on his hospital bed drawing One Piece. The man's a workaholic through and through.
+ComiXProvider FTW_02 I think that would kill some of the beauty in the Manga industry, IE people portraying their concepts and not having it changed by outside sources. Pointless when you consider Editorial interference, i know...
i agree but the problem is compounded by shonen jump being greedy af and why can we get a manga once a month or even 1 every 2 weeks or a graphic novel released in the end of a year which are beautifully made well structured and have decent writing rather than this rushed copy paste arc structure and writing just for them to get some time to work on the actually good arcs
I like the manga. But the anime is a filler filled nightmare. Like 90% pointless filler. The anime currently mostly only covers the first 10 chapters of the manga.
@@nickchavarria8052 It's not actually filler; it's supposed to be "adaptation expansion" as in the manga presents the barebones version while the anime takes its time and expands on everything. According to interviews, both the manga and the anime are considered canon.
@@matthewmuir8884 Yeah I looked into that a bit after I commented. I know. I’ve been reading through the manga now having watched the first 70ish episodes of boruto first a while back. And that makes a lot of sense. There’s even characters that are a big part of Boruto’s story in the anime that just pop up in the manga like where supposed to know who they are. Comparing the two yeah the manga is pretty bare bones and rushes things along while the anime spends so much time introducing new characters and world building. Been reading the manga right now though, cause I don’t want to have to wait so long to find out what happens next xD ( they’re barely almost about to start the second major arc in the anime right now & it’s been 3 years.)
@@nickchavarria8052 That is true; it has been some time since the anime did an arc from the manga. I think they're treating the anime and manga like this for three reasons: 1. The anime can avoid the problem Naruto had where over 40% of the show was filler to avoid overtaking the manga. 2. The manga is a monthly release rather than a weekly release 3. Originally, it allowed the anime's director (who also directed the Boruto movie) to introduce content that had been planned for the movie but was cut, like Toneri's involvement and Urashiki Otsutsuki.
Yeah the only downside of his videos are that whenever he talks about a show it makes me want to drop whatever show I'm currently watching just to check it out. XD
I did a rewatch of the entire series at the beginning of the pandemic. I looked up a list of all the filler and skipped all those episodes and it was lovely. I did the same with InuYasha a couple years ago. I love all the characters in both those series. Not only was there a ton of nostalgia but it's kind of like seeing old friends.
The war arc was definitely the low point for me, dont get me wrong it had some great moments but compared to the rest of the series it paled in comparison
I think the war started off great. Madara’s introduction along with Itachi and the Hokage resurrecting was probably the point where the show got me most excited. Unfortunately, it peaks there and the hype levels take a steady decline and everything with the Gedo Mazo and the Ten Tails blends together into a boring mess. It briefly picks back up when Guy fights Madara, but then it plummets back down again when I’m expected to believe that fucking Zetsu orchestrates _every event in the whole goddamn show_ and now there’s a dumb rabbit god lady with no personality that’s supposed to be the final villain?
@@fissilewhistle Kind of wrong there. There was a lot of boring nonsense with most Edo Tensei guys. About 15 or so fights happened but the ones with Nagato/Itachi and the 3rd Raikage were the only ones that weren't a complete joke before Madara came and kicked the arc into life. EDIT: The Hokage section was cool but that happened later on.
Why did Naruto succed where Bleach failed? *Goals & Ending.* Naruto had a goal and an ending that we've waiting for a lot of years, things Bleach didn't have.
Enock Blaster Matt oh yeah being reminded. naruto didn't get the ending it wanted. it was rushed aswell with a asspull endgame. and naruto becoming hokage felt unrealistic and not satisfying. the story forgived Sasuke for going rogue for no reason. because kishimoto was rushed. and goals? first off naruto started off with naruto wanting to become hokage to proof everyone wrong. then naruto went gay and we get 600 episodes of looking for his gaylover and barley tried to work for hokage. so you can scratch out *goals* and *ending* because neither was good. oh yeah someone just told me what made naruto really boring was the editors basically took over. that's the opposite of what happened to bleach because tite kubo didn't really let anyone control his story unless it was necessary. probably what made bleach story more exciting than narutos.
asdf jkl; what I mean is everything I wrote up their^^^ case in point he said that but at the cost of what happened he may have gotten a ending he wanted but the backlash for it speaks for itself. and um I can't blame you that u didn't get past the second arc. Its because everyone knows that the second arc is FILLER ARC and that its skippable. when that massive filler arc came in on OG Naruto your lucky that I could skip it because I would have gave up on the series. the difference between bleach fillers and naruto filler is that we actually like our filler except that second filler arc. BTW if your still interested which idc .. pick back on the series in Ep 110 that's when that second filler arc is over and Canon picks up .....js
Wasn't Kaguya supposed to relate back to the Sage of the 6 Paths as a villain though? Also wasn't Zetsu related to Kaguya all along? I think there was symbolism in Naruto & Sasuke vs Kaguya as it represented the 2 sons of the Sage vs something the Sage of 6 Paths fought long ago. While yes Kaguya was fairly rushed in both the manga & anime, it still makes sense. Also to be fair we have the Boruto Series to expand upon Kaguya further.
@IRAz T0 I knew that stuff, I just tend to get the names mixed up & was using questions to make people think about this stuff for themselves. I referred to Kaguya the 2nd time as "something Hagoromo fought long ago", for the purpose of adding suspense to Kaguya.
Yeah, but they had to explain the origins of ninjutsu and the bijuu somehow. Madara just couldn't do that himself. They just fucked up her character something fierce. She could have been way more interesting.
@ThatDamnScottishGuy Madara was 1st seen at the Final Valley in the form of a statue, although I could have sworn the 1st time he got mentioned by name in the anime was when Sasuke appeared before the 9 Tailed Fox in that sneak peak scene at the start of Shippuden. The Sage of 6 Paths was 1st introduced when Jiraiya fought Pain if I remember correctly. Near the end of Shippuden Season 8 Tobi revealed much more to the story of the Sage of 6 Paths. Kaguya was more of a surprise Final Boss by your analogy. Also weren't Kaguya, Zetsu, & the 10 Tails all supposed to be different parts of the same character? The Sage of 6 paths was the original Jinchuriki who created the Tailed Beasts by dividing the 10 Tails Chakra with most of that going to the 9 Tailed Fox Kurama. Kaguya & her 2 sons are the reason people can use Chakra in the world of Naruto & supposedly the ancestors of almost every Ninja. Even Naruto & Sasuke are supposed to be the modern version of the 2 sons of the Sage of 6 paths. It's not exactly fair to say that Kaguya came out of nowhere, when she was a huge part of the Myths surrounding the Sage of 6 Paths. Maybe it would have been better if she was revealed much sooner, although she was supposed to have been almost entirely forgotten by Naruto's World.
I disagree; I think Obito should've been the final villain before Naruto's fight with Sasuke. Madara was boring and way too OP, whereas Obito as the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki could've been a very compelling final boss with established strengths and weaknesses.
Pains me to admit it, but Naruto did far better than Bleach in the end. I still love both series, but the way the Bleach manga was abruptly ended/axed........just a shame. :-(
well isn't that kinda self explanatory. One gets rushed and the other gets milked so badly that the editors pull a kaguya out their asses. I think I'd prefer the milked one over the rushed one thank you very much
G Truesdale How did Bleach end? I haven't read or watched Bleach (just a Naruto fan honestly) but I've heard the same complaints about the ending from the fans. Can you please tell me? I don't care about spoilers.
+CommanderFig64 -Rushed Final Boss Fight -Some Characters fate undecided -Biggest asspull you see -Shipping Wars I actually say Bleach Ending>Naruto Ending because it didn't end in a fucking orgy.
Interesting analysis. I believe there's a few key factor which made Naruto "more successful" than Bleach. (1). Naruto had a clearly defined "end goal"--becoming Hokage, which kept ppl coming to back to see if he accomplished that, even if they had basically lost interest in the series. Ichigo really didn't have a "driving goal", instead he had a not so clearly defined one--growing stronger to protect those precious to him. Even in this he failed, because he didn't even try every option available to him. For instance, he was never shown ever trying to learn Kido. Even a simple scene showing him trying to learn it, but then it being explained away as "he has no talent for Kido", is better than never mentioning it at all. (2). Naruto had an intriguing "rival/foil". Although they seemed like polar opposites, at the core, Naruto & Sasuke were two sides of the same coin. Naruto was initially written as weaker than Sasuke, but ultimately they grew to be equal in power (unlike Bleach where Ichigo had rivals who he quickly grew to outclass--like Uruyu & Renji). Both characters were interesting in and of themselves, but their personal interactions really drove the story. Ppl came back to see what drama would play out between the two "main characters" & the ultimate resolution. (3). Naruto had developed "main villains". Virtually every major villain in the series had a defined goal & was given a pretty clear reason/rationale for having that goal (which was reinforced by a backstory). Bleach didn't really have this. Even though lord Aizen is in my top 5 fav. anime villains, he never really had a clearly defined goal. And the rationale for the goal that he was eventually given wasn't too convincing. (4). Naruto had a likable personality & sympathetic backstory. Yes Naruto started off annoying & still had his "moments", but he grew to be a largely likable guy because of his actions & the reason behind them. Ichigo had little to no real personality & didn't really display any emotion (outside of anger & sorrow). You couldn't even tell if he was ever happy. (5). Naruto's battles weren't always won through sheer strength or by basically using the same skills. Naruto actually used strategy & even trickery routinely to fell foes. This is probably best illustrated in his fights against Neji & Kiba. And he evolved from not being able to create a functional shadow-clone, to not only being able to create multiple shadow clones, but also unlocking new powers & creating his own signature techniques (which he actually used there after in the series). Conversely, Ichigo basically uses the same old sword slashes, & Getsuga to beat bad guys. This was very disappointing, since Ichigo had the potential to develop techniques from every super-powered species in the series. Even if he'd develop a new power/techique it would be quickly abandoned fro his standard moves. (6). Naruto had a larger audience range. Starting off as a kid, allowed children to relate to him (and the somewhat mature themes attracted teens & even adults). Those kids grew up along with Naruto as he matured. Bleach had a somewhat small audience range, given not only Ichigo's age (he started off as an "older teen" & not a "kid" like most other series), but also his lack of a real personality (outside of being somewhat of an emo). (7). Even though neither was a "romance series", Naruto did a far better job exploring possible romantic feelings, adding a different dynamic to all of the characters interactions. Naruto had an odd "love triangle" with the 3 main characters, and later had a 1-sided love interest in Hinata. This at least gave the "shippers" something to fantasize about. Ichigo basically came off as asexual in the series. (8). Naruto had several emotionally based sensei/pupil relationships. Naruto always had 1 teacher or another who he shared an emotional bond with. So he not only had an instructor to train him, but also someone else for fans to get emotionally invested in. We could share the sensei sense of pride whenever the pupil became stronger--and it was a person there to remind us how far the pupil has come. Ichigo didn't really have any sensei to speak of. Urahara was the as close to a teacher Bleach could muster & to a lesser extent, Yoruichi. Even then, there didn't seem to be much of an emotional connection between them (not even when his own dad trained him once).
Blackton Obvious! Agreed. I think the main reason Bleach fell flat was because the series as a whole (not just Ichigo), did not have any goals or direction. It was was pretty clear that Kubo was just making it up as he went along and never had a true endgame in mind past the Soul Society Arc. I love both series to death and they will always have a place in my heart but Bleach never had much going for it besides interesting characters and cool fights.
There's many things wrong with your comment but i'm just going to address this. *"Sasuke WAS not interesting. I almost laughed when I read that bullshit. He's incredibly bland. Fun fact: Kishimoto-bitch made a note explaining he only added Sasuke in when his editors told him to create a rival for Naruto, so he researched other manga and pulled elements from their characters to make Sasuke. Sasuke wasn't even supposed to be in the story, lol."* i.imgur.com/kf4yiQ7.jpg "Since the work was first serialized, I have been determined to end the manga series with the battle between protagonist Naruto and Sasuke, who has been his rival since the start of the story. In the end, Bleach is a terrible example. You don't use trash as the standard. My work did it better than a piece of trash, that's great right? Well.. no, lol It's meaningless. Bleach became popular for a very different reason than One Piece and Naruto, these 2 followed the Dragon Ball footsteps, classic shonen structure, etc.. Bleach is more in line with Yuyu Hakusho, but instead of clever writing, Bleach was all about the artstyle. Old fans got interested with the theme because of Yuyu, new fans loved the art. That's it, Bleach was a anomaly, I don't know why people got surprised when the series died. Ever since Kubo started to copy, bit by bit, the damsel in distress plotline Twice, on a roll.. the guy didn't even waited).. On that moment, I already realized the series was going to die soon. It got even worse than I initially assumed, the conclusion of that whole espada/aizen thing was such a disaster. It seems the next arc got even more terrible, lol On that point I acknowledge that must people expected a decline of quality, but not such a severe decline. And lastly, if we had to use a real standard to exemplify success, if Naruto failed or not in comparison to the current king, One Piece... Well, hard to say, on a popularity standpoint Naruto is definitely as successful as OP. On a quality standpoint, not really a comparison, One Piece is superior in every way.
The reason you lost is because i was your opponent That's why staff is there in the first place. You think we can blow off development for the sake of asexual Emos, a cult so small and not even considered disenfranchised due to living in suburban sprawls. Naruto reached the hood, my Fran. There are people who can relate to a single ethnic aspect of Naruto because it's more diverse and interesting than Ichitit.
@Rafael, I'm not going to say Bleach was as good a series by comparison, it isn't (especially compared to One Piece), but it wasn't without virtue. It was a series with some really strong points that were counter-balanced by its flaws and then, ultimately, smothered by them alongside limitations of Kubo that arose as the series dragged on longer than it should have. It isn't that there was nothing of substance to begin with though... you were missing the merits if that was your takeaway. There's a big difference between not appreciating a work and there being nothing there to appreciate. I could probably do a small novela on objective criticism for the series based on how much there ended up being to comment on, so to keep it short, bullet-point virtues (and their failings): 1) Really interesting themes rarely seen in Japanese narratives, original plot concepts that served well to explore complex ideas and questions.... that spent the early part of the series sort of like oasis surrounded by deserts of fight scenes, and later sort of were buried and forgotten entirely 2) A really sizeable cast of quirky, memorable, and enjoyable characters, some of the more detailed of which were genuinely interesting and complex... almost all of which were eventually backseated, overshadowed, and eventually entirely neglected 3) A lot of passion and creativity on the part of the author as a result of him being a manga fan turned manga-ka... that pretty rapidly gave way to becoming masturabutory and self gratifying as he was too in love with his own ideas and embraced canned cool tropes over creativity 4) Systems of combat and power battles that made for riveting fights that were set pieces for some truly novel power ideas and cerebral battles... That became way too frequent, over powerered, and eventually crutches to a series losing most of what it used to stand on. 5) If talking about the anime, an absolutely stellar soundtrack that is easy to take for granted because of how often tracks are repeated because even half a dozen discs only go so far with over 300 episodes, but if considered individually are triumphs in setting the mood (as a bonus, the titles speak very clearly to intended themes of the series that were ultimately abandoned) I don't recommend Bleach to people because it turns into such a damn slog to get to them, but it's a series with some really stellar moments and I don't begrudge myself the time spent on it because I was able to enjoy them. Renji vs. Byakuya, Tousen vs. Konamura and Hisagi, Ichigo vs. Ginjo, even Ichinose vs. Kenpachi... Being true to yourself vs expectations, Justice vs Mercy, broken trust and whether to choose forgiveness or resentment, remorse for change and myopia towards adaptation... there were a lot of "fights" in that series that made for incredible moments not because of the animation or battle or wits elements, but because of the ethical, ideological, and emotional conflicts they represented the characters debates as they meet blades. Yes it was lost in the clutter of fan-baiting with fight scenes and power reveals, yes it went on way longer than it needed to or should, but there was substance to Bleach... it just was mixed in with a lot of flak.
Overall I feel like Naruto kinda failed to actually follow its own principles. The show told us that hard work beats genius and that fate isn't set in stone, yet the most powerful characters are only that strong because of some sort of power that they were born with/that was gifted to them. Rock Lee,the one character who was supposed to show that hard work pays off didn't win any important fights(in fact he only ever won against his own doppelgänger). And later it turns out that naruto is the child of a prophecy and Neji dying for Hinata, showing that fate is indeed a thing. Heck in the one battle that preaches these messages the most(Naruto vs Neji),Naruto only wins because of the ninetailed fox, which is a power that was gifted to him(yeah he had to train to learn how to use it,but its still something that no one else could have used in such a situation)
Jovana Sanchez I admit Guys performance towards the end was indeed pretty good and in my opinion one of the best scenes of the whole final arc.It still doesn't make up for the fact that Lee is so outclassed by so many, simply because they get to be born with an op kekkei genkai. Also Naruto and Sasuke were both born as the reincarnation of the sons of Hagoromo and thus received a final power up in the last arc, which is another power that was given to them. Heck Naruto was even part of at least 2 prophecies,as Hagoromo foresaw that one would reunite the beasts(though not as the tentails),which referred to Naruto again.
Bluelore Actually, only the bigger villains have eye hax and most people can't beat them either, and Lee can probably beat anyone with a lower speed than him. If Lee learned the 7th gate in part 2, he'd beat even more people! IIRC, Hagoromo's power was the only power that Naruto got for free right away. While he did have Kurama's chakra, he couldn't draw out a lot of it, and had to control it or he would end up releasing Kurama.
Jovana Sanchez I really doubt that Lee could beat Kisame or Kakuzu. And in general the fact stands that Lee never achieved any important victory throughout the whole series. And while naruto had to work to be able to draw from the foxs chakra, its still something that only he could do and in the end it gives him a huge powerboost that would be impossible to achieve for most other ninjas.
Bluelore "...probably best anyone with a lower speed than him" Kisame and Kakuzu aren't one of them. Guy defeated Kisame with seven gates, Lee probably would have done the same thing if he had seven gates. Lee didn't achieve a victory because he fought characters that could kick anyone's butt at the time. In Gaara's case, Sasuke also couldn't beat him and it took an asspull for Gaara to beat Lee. Kimimaro was probably a really bad match up. Though, NINE TAILED powered up Naruto couldn't dent Kimimaro, and Gaara only won because Kimimaro was dying! If Naruto didn't work to be able to draw the fox's chakra, he would have released Kurama whenever he drew too much that he could handle.
i feel like after i watched naruto and learned all the characters i became a better person and adopted all of the lessons taught through the story, i’m so grateful for this series.
The first thing Ive seen of naruto was this AMV: th-cam.com/video/_5GwQn6kMJI/w-d-xo.html But I saw another one with evanescenes my immortal which was only about the Zabusa fights. That was soo awesome. This one th-cam.com/video/ksT3s__Tdgc/w-d-xo.html . Its actually the third video I ever favourited on TH-cam.
Oda said he knows what the ending is, but he has like 500 chapters left before then, and that was about a year ago I believe. So about a decade more of One Piece. That's insane.
The Ending of One Piece is: Luffy and the crew find the hidden chest that Gol D.Roger left. Luffy becomes the Pirate King but stays with his crew. He opens the chest and there is a large mirror. He has acuirred the greatest tresure known to man: Family and friends.
I don't agree with the Madara point. To me he gave the series one of it's greatest villains. He had a legitimate point, he truly believed he was right, and finally he was strong enough to back it up. He was one of the first characters since Orochimaru that had that feeling of he is just way too strong. He gave the story a threat. He should have been the final enemy of the series. Cheesing him with Kaguya made his arc cheaper. It took all of the great motivations and drive of his character and turned it into a Bmovie plot twist. He is IMO one of the greatest wastes of a a character in the series.
Cody The problem was we already had a villain like him in the form of Obito who himself was already similar to Nagato. It gets kinda boring after 3 times in a row. :p
The problem is the 4th ninja war arc besides him was TERRIBLE!!! If they executed better and gave Kishimoto time to gather his thoughts into how to make the war great and to implement that character then it would've been great
Style over substance, Madara looks cool, act cool, its a badass but he has no depth, good motivation's and his goal its really cliche and forced In other hand. ororchimaru has everything, but you know, kishimoto
I personally thing that the escalation of power was part of the reason why i wasnt into naruto so much anymore. In the early days characters felt like ordinary people which are able through hard work to master certain abilities. Towards the end most main characters didnt feel relatable at all. The fact that the final villain was literraly an alien didnt help either.
They were never ordinary people.. LMAO.. They were always superhuman like ninjas.. You mean the early days were more gritty and less Super country destroyin power.. I don't mind the power escalation.. I mean from the start it was established that a Hokage had the power to rival a "demon" who could destroy villains wit it's tail.. Sooo Yeah.. Lol..
@si Bongkukaye While some of what you say is true.. I'm pretty sure Kishimoto ended Naruto the way he wanted.. And if he wanted Naruto characters to be DBZ level then he wanted have made some powerful planetary jutsu capable of destroyin planets.. Or some Solar system Mangekyo ability.. LOL.. But Naruto and Sasuke are at most powerful enough to destroy the moon separately.. Maybe much of the planet.. MAYBE.. Like I mentioned.. In the beginning it was established that a much higher level would come in Naruto.. Hey what can you say.. That's more of a nitpick and not an actual criticism of the story's construct..
Jay David Not true, Toneri split the moon in half and was going to launch it at earth to destroy it. Not exactly, but the majority of the time, characters rarely planet bust in Dragon Ball as well, they just spam building level Ki blasts and at full power, mountain level attacks like the bijuu.
It's sad that it's a full blown global phenomnem yet he is only worth 20 million dollars. JK Rowling is worth billions. Seems like Manga artists are getting shafted. Naruto was a steady decline, the final arc was very painful to read. Though unlike Bleach I actually kept reading it.
It's because J.K. Rowling owns full rights to Harry Potter. Her value was about the same until the movies happened. Since unlike the Shonun artists J.K. Rowling actually owns the intellectual property she got a slice of all the tickets and dvd sales as well as all the merchandise. Self publishing a manga however is next to impossible as you have no credibility and without a massive amount of editors and assistants your work will go slow. However I think self-published manga authors are on the rise because of the internet. It eliminates the infrastructure of printers needed and makes small scale manga's easier. The most famous example of this is 1 from Mob 100 and One Punch Man.
I don't know man, I read the entire war in like two weeks and it was some of the most enjoyable manga I've read. I'll admit, the series starts becoming a little bit stale in the Birth of Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki arc, but it's not half as bad as people make it out to be. And most complaints I see on those parts of the story (i.e. "the power levels became too high" or "Neji was right all along") either have absolutely no merit, or stem from simply not understanding the story or the characters (Neji's death, Obito's whole character, Black Zetsu and even Sasuke all come to mind).
Apples to oranges. Rowling got lucky. There are dozens if not hundreds of other talented writers out there who are not worth as much as she was but have made finer products. She got movies and publicity. Right time and right place. That said, she gave away so much of her money to charity she lost her billionaire status. I don't think many manga artists would be able to do that. Scratch that, most people wouldn't be able to do that. But then she goes on some odd uh twitter reveal moments on things that were never written and just says some incomprehensible things about her stories lore that just plain baffles people now.
Oda has fucking amazing assistants, and I'm glad he's taking more frequent breaks, I love One Piece, but I also love Oda and I want Oda to make his best work while not dying from it.
Kishimoto's work survived the manga industry, unlike Kubo's which crashed and burned, but wow did it leave plenty of battle scars. Thinking about how guys like Oda can keep it up for so long....it's honestly insane.
The original Naruto Focused a lot on every character, and every character had good solid depth and difference. In shippuden, the more it went into it, the more it was just about naruto and sasuke, for me and many others, if your favourite character was someone rock lee, kiba, neji etc. You hardly got too see anything good from them in shippuden? For example, neji had a ton of character development in original naruto, when he was close to death against the spider guy (Orochimaru's henchmen) in an amazing fight, That moment was devestating and nearly had me crying. But when he had that quick death in naruto shippuden just recently, I was just like 'meh', haven't really seen anything from you in the last like 7+ Years, and probs won't see anything even if you weren't to die. I feel like there was a huge difference between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
Seagull Designs Only real character development from the side characters in the second half were by Shikamaru and Co, Hinata barely, Gaara and co, and I think that's it. I think that's not necessarily bad for many of the characters, like it would be bad if Lee would change too much, or Shino, maybe even Kiba. Neji and others were already fairly developed. As in, there's no further place you'd want them to go for their character. He's completed character development mostly by the first part. Tenten could have used more to her character, though I guess she's more of a straight man in a crazy crew, but Neji already could fill that role. Overall I feel they were mostly treated fine, but yeah more could have been done with their characters. Perhaps in this way, filler was helpful because they usually involved them.
I know people will flame me for that, but that's why I really enjoyed some of the filler episodes. Take Kakashi Gaiden / Kakashi Anbu Arc, for example. I've always liked Kakashi and wondered why he had a Sharingan despite not being an Uchiha. Tada! Explanation! Plus we got to see why Kakashi is a lazy, bumbling idiot at times, but a strategic , highly lethal killer as well. I liked the background Information we got. Actually I'd rather watch those fillers than so6p-kurama-cloak-sage mode-hyper-dyper- Naruto vs madaraMcgiantsamurai or kaguya-ex-machina.
i also have the same problem as you are, maybe because the main focus or theme in the first part is acknowledgement and ninja way while the main focus in the second part is will of fire vs uchiha curse of hatred or you can say hope vs power, the Naruto main problem is also its too fast pace, that's why most characters who isnt Naruto's everyday inner circle or an Uchiha have so little development,... that's why i dont hate the filler at all, there's a lot of Naruto shippuden filler that helps connect the missing link in the manga story, it also help completed Narutoverse in general,...
I finished the whole series all 700 episodes in 7 weeks..I became so obsessed that my grades declined & I had no life lol. I was putting in 9-12 hours a day to this show. Idk what to do next.
16:40 I think Madara was an amazing villain... He was built up for so long and when he showed up it payed off He has an amazing background story and his ideology is also interesting to see contrast with other characters in the show Kaguya on the other hand...
As a character, Madara was interesting, though not as interesting as Nagato or Obito who had been previously built up as the main villains. Where Madara really suffered was as an antagonist: as an antagonist, he was the ultimate example of power creep; pulling a ton of abilities out of nowhere in ways that broke established rules solely so he could shrug off everything the heroes threw at him. He was a boring invincible villain.
@@matthewmuir8884 Madara was awesome, he seemed to be built up as the main villain to me, Obito was more of a surprise villain as the series made us think Toby was actually Madara, secretly running as k as tsuki. He is also from Hashirama first hokage era so was mad strong, plus the OP shuringan stuff. they built him up well and I liked the surprises as the story unfolded. I thought Kaguya was lame tho and should have just ended with Madara.
Nah he was shit. He appeared out of nowhere for sake of the cheap plot twist, his reasons for his actions was cheap sob story and he was totally unmemerable in terms of character. He just triggered a lot of dopamine in teenage boys, that liked to see big explosions and massacres being preparated by edgy man with spiky dark hair and cool eye design. Tbh most of Naruto villains are like that and that's why series itself was trash.
That timeline you showed at 16:58 is really depressing. I didn't realize the war arc was quite that much of the series. It really should have ended with a naruto vs sasuke right after the pain arc.
A shame that everyone keeps spouting these redundant arguments, yet no one actually bothers to say *why* these "problems" are even problems in any way.
@@Thewritingelf The war being long made room for a lot of development with a lot of different side characters. It also made the whole thing more epic in scale (in my opinion of course). Also, ending a series whose themes focus heavily on piece and understanding, it makes sense for the series to end with an all out war, even if you didn't like the way it had been executed (I personally loved it, and I'd love to discuss why if you want to get into it). I understand that towards the end, between Madara becoming the ten-tails' jinchuriki and Kaguya's appearance, it does get stale, especially if you were reading it week-to-week (I read it all at once, which I'm sure made quite a difference). But that staleness comes from the unchanging scenery mostly, and the often irritatingly paced growth of the chakra tree. That said though, this is a relatively small part of the war (around 25 chapters), and throughout the whole thing the circumstances, ways of fighting, the settings, the conditions, the themes and especially the characters involved are ever-changing. It was fun, it was quick-paced, almost every fight was either thematically relevant (Hanzo vs Mifune, Sasuke and Itachi vs Kabuto, Naruto and Killer B vs the Jinchuriki) or tied up loose ends (Sai vs Shin, Kankuro vs Sasori, Kakashi vs Zabuza and Haku, Gaara vs Rasa, Team 10 vs Asuma). And all of those are just from the edotensei part of the war. Like I said, the circumstances are ever-changing.
For me Naruto manga dropped in quality somewhere when Naruto defeated Kakuzu and Pain: it started moving too fast, Naruto was gaining too much power and stories became too crazy. And anime was just low quality most of the time and had lots of fillers so I dropped it everntually.
I much prefer waiting with Attack on Titan and just reading the manga in between. At least then you don't get any shit that tarnishes the original narrative.
" Naruto was gaining too much power and stories became too crazy" honestly it was needed for the power ups at least. i mean it was kinda fucking dumb after 2 years of training with jiryia HE FUCKIGN LEARNED NOTHING. he needed those powers up and they were believably because he trained for him. pretty much only after when obito was reveled it was a bit to much
yeh same the pain part was the best part for me though. I am watching naruto since when naruto shippuden episode 50 came out. I am like at 469 now and damn i can nto get to watch anymore. Just going to watch the sasuke vs naruto. A great anime but it was ruined by fillers and too much extending at the end
Are you keeping in mind though that Naruto beat Kakuzu and Pain with plenty of help after they were already battle worn? Plus, he worked with the shadow clones for Rasenshuriken and Sage Mode, making him stronger faster. And not for no good reason but with his own cleverness
Naruto became so popular in the west, particularly in America, because of it's already familiar Japanese cultural themes western audiences became accustomed too. Martial Arts films had a buzzing fan base in America during the 70s, 80s & 90s. NYC rap group "Wu-Tang" were heavily inspired by these martial arts films of those times. As said in the video "Naruto" debuted in 1999 in Weekly Shonen. By that time hits such as "Akira", "Ghost in the Shell" & "Dragonball Z" were already hits among American audiences. Naruto's ninja world was already a comfortable theme for fans to explore because of it's establishment in the public conscious. Largely based off of fighting the series was able to play with an already known idea and add a different perspective not quite seen yet. For all of it's allure Dragonball Z never had much care for it's secondary characters, with a central focus on Goku the universe was essentially built around his perspective of the world. Naruto brought us characters with arcs that had real-life similarities and occurrences. A lot of people have had feelings of inadequacy but remained determined such as Rock Lee, but even chose more violent paths such as Gaara. Naruto became a global phenomenon for taking a simple idea and injecting it with aspects of life that anyone from around the world and America could experience. We may not all keep defeating every foe like Goku and become a literal god, but we all can be immature and somewhat misguided like Konohamaru. Yet we can grow and become to realize life is more complex and layered than we want to believe. Overall the series was a hit, but it had its lows, some much lower than others. But what kept us fans even if that liking waned, was the undeniably growth we saw inn ourselves as individuals and the same journey in the characters themselves. Naruto will always be that manga/anime that we all really felt we grew with. And for that I'm thankful.......
Also, storywise Naruto could be said to have a lot of similar storybeats and progression as Harry Potter, which happened to be the biggest film franchise of the decade the Naruto anime started, so Harry Potter's success in some ways made Naruto's success easier.
that one guy, I really really really liked the war arc. It has a lot of great moments, but in the beginning, there are some boring characters that they fight, but it is just a couple episodes, but after it was so interesting, and btw. spoiler alert.................. blablabala spoiler alert........... they fight Zabuza and Haku again.
it's not all boring in the beginning, because you will see many fights from Konoha 11. Just some are boring, cuz there were fights that were great. I would say watch a bit, if its boring read the manga, it tells you a lot about how strong people were in the past, so you could just read the manga for some, but the fights that are good in anime are........... spoiler alert............. Madara destroying everyone, Naruto vs 3rd Raikage, and everything that Madara was in. Also the fight with Itachi, Nagato, Naruto and killer b. Also, you see many of the characters' abilities, dead or alive. There are many more fights that i probably forgot about, but thats just the beggining, after that, its amazing.
The only point I disagree with you on HEAVILY is about the character motivations. The whole point is that motivations change over time, particularly based on the growth both age-wise and emotion-wise. Naruto grew up and as he did his motivations became less about gaining acknowledgement and more about protecting those who already acknowledged him. As Naruto's ambition to become hokage evolved from "I want to be recognized" to "I want to protect my loved ones", his ideals surrounding that ambition evolve. Naruto begins not only to embrace the pursuit of the title of hokage, but to pursue the purpose of being hokage, which is to protect the hidden leaf village, which consequently is where all of this loved ones reside. Naruto was also sheltered from the harsh realities of the ninja world as a child, as crazy as that may sound, and you can see his once one-dimensional worldview get challenged by the conflicts he endures over time. It stops being just about him, and starts being about everything he wishes to protect. Jiraiya's death is the straw that broke the camel's back in the transformation of Naruto as a character. Naruto is broken hearted over the loss of his sensei and more importantly, his dearest role model, and states that he wanted Jiraiya to always be watching over him until he became hokage. This is where Naruto comes to the complete realization that his ambitions to become hokage - the ambitions that have been at the epicenter of his entire world up until this point - aren't the only thing in the world that matters. Everything else around Naruto won't remain fixes in place just so he can achieve his dreams, and Jiaiya's death typifies that fact. Naruto then seeks to create a world that his master would have been proud of, and becomes hokage to do so (and of course also to be hokage). I'm in no way saying that Naruto's story is amazing, but up until the end of the Pain arc, Naruto was still really good in my opinion. Even the war could have been good. It was stretched to all hell, but if they had just kept Madara - a villain foreshadowed throughout the series - as the final boss and not made him stupidly unbeatable to the point where Kishimoto needed to write him out of the plot to progress the story, it could've been decent. The power scaling is obviously also a huge issue. Naruto did have to become the strongest hokage, but he didn't need to get literal God powers to do it, ans they didnt need to make the final boss and alien either. Sorry for the rant.
The problem is I want to protect my love ones doesn't evolve. There's no progression from that. You always want to protect them from every threat. It was the issue of Bleach after all.
Also his motivation has something to do with peace in the ninja world, not only his loved ones. And in Boruto (manga) we can see that he doesn't know how to balance things, he feels the need to fulfill his duty as Hokage but also to be there for his family, so in a way he is sacrificing his loved ones in order to achieve a peaceful world, that in the end would benefit them but he is also failing Hinata, his sons, and his friends in other ways, and to me that is more interesting and real than Bleach, that it was no real motivation for Ichigo as the series went on but also as he grew up. Naruto went from a child wish to an adult responsibility and the strain on his relationships. I loved the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke, I haven't watch the anime version but in the manga it was beautiful and awful, but some of the previous fights, like vs Kaguya, well... to this day I still don't know what to think of it as a whole, but most of the time I was laughing because it felt so out of place.
Reid Pattis yes but how do you compensate for lack in evolving motivation? Context How you go about obtaining said goal, the barriers formed to onstruct you, the people themselves In bleach, keeping loved ones safe equated to, sit and react to threats In Naruto, Naruto is literally turning the foundation of their modern society on it's head One is keeping the status quo, the other is changing it. It's just too different and naruto's is more interesting in how they go about it
The very nature of the shounen manga industry itself is why it is an inferior method of writing and producing for anime. Not insulting it or anything, and I am glad people succeed in it, but the work treatment and the constantly unnecessary editor revisions and the arbitrary nature of the shounen audience makes it an unfavorable work environment. The inhumane demand for deadlines and revisions is unnecessary and should be circumvented entirely by letting the shounen manga industry burn out. I would rather go into the novel or light novel industry, which has a lighter schedule and much more preferable work conditions.
Anime is more expensive so they like making it based on a manga. After all a manga has already proven itself so if you make an anime based on it not only will you have that but you also have a pre-established fanbase who will watch it no matter what. The reason they like manga over novels is because novels are very different from moving picture and so requires a lot of reworking. This both complicates the process and will likely alienate a lot of the fans, negating the benefits of using an established property. A manga already has fully detailed designs and clear ways on how characters move and express themselves so it's a much easier translation. An example is Nasaka from Myazaki which was rejected because it wasn't a manga. Many say nasaka was based on a manga but it's actually the reverse. Myazaki couldn't sell the idea because it was expensive and untested. So he started making it into a manga. From what I understand though this wasn't in bad faith as the people at the studio really liked his ideas and gave the manga their full support. It was just the rules they had and they had to stick to them.
Research the video again and tell me Manga is inferior! These people work themselves to death more than comic book creators. They never take breaks and they are always on the verge of a meltdown.
Capitalism demands constant material to satisfy the masses/make as much money as possible. Loved naruto, but it mos def could have been better 1 chapter/mon.
Naruto is so special to everyone ironically because of the talk-no-jutsu problem and how it instructs you to love and forgive yourself. A psychologist actually wrote a research paper on using the Naruto animanga as a conversational therapy model. Naruto: 1. empathizes with villains; 2. empathizes with unsympathetic friends; 3. develops positive coping mechanisms to deal with a traumatic childhood; 4. has life goals and works towards them; 5. practices forgiveness in a way that doesn't diminish his own valid feelings of hurt; 6. has compassion for strangers; 6. develops a community relationship and isn't hyperindividualistic; 7. etc etc etc. Naruto is basically the poster child for healing from childhood trauma, making him the ideal role model for adolescents everywhere as he is perhaps the best shounen character to vicariously feel your pain and heal from it.
I like Naruto but I was always a bit upset with it. I felt it killed off Toonami because the line up sucked with it. But I do love the Naruto games, Naruto video games are the best anime games made. They told the story well too while being fun.
Part of what makes these megahits what they are is the deadline, arguably the hardest challenge for anyone thinking that they love drawing. Read Bakuman (by Ohba and Obata) to gain deeper insight into what it means to make manga.
@@Changetheling IMO you shouldn't have such an idealized view of the industry. It condones inhumane practices by painting them as "necessary for the fine art's quality". A person shouldn't have to pay with their health to do what they love. Just because it's the status quo doesn't mean it's a necessary practice.
For freaking sure and I wish more people had that kind of patience when it comes to adaptation. A good adaptation can bring even the most dead of series back to life.
sleshstamp I'll give him that. I remember watching that scene when it first aired in America, and it blew my mind. It's just so well done and I still remember how amazing that fight is till this day. I dropped out of watching Naruto a very long time ago. Eventually I tried reading Shippuden again, but I was never able to get past the Pain arc since everything after that was just so boring. But with all of that said, I still have some very fond memories of Naruto. If it weren't for that series, I highly doubt I'd love anime and manga as much as I do now. Naruto had a huge effect on me as a kid, and I kind of want to go watch the final few episodes now.
James Hughes same me and my cousin watched it on Cartoon Network back in the day, we didn't even know what anime was, but when we saw that it was like the best crazy thing we saw in a "cartoon"
10:31 Oh my fucking goodness....Shonen Jump, or rather, the Weekly Manga business is hell. Kishimoto didn't hit it with his own dang wife for NINE mothafackin' YEARS!!? Nah, weekly manga systems, they're the reason why my favorite series' either go to shit, get rushed and cancelled (like my Bleach), or my my characters (Sakura, Lee, Neji, Chad Sado, Piccolo, every human in DBZ, etc) always get pushed to the side..I remember reading Bakuman and seein' how bad it can get but holy shit...
Matt Lucas it's like they live to write the manga and 15 years go by just like that, dang. They barley have any breaks. Their net worth must be outta here though..
you probs already know them but if no try cowboy bebop, samurai champloo and GTO ihave to watch them every year because i start to miss them ....fuck im a weeeeb noooooo
14:30 basically states EXACTLY what went wrong with the whole series. They abandoned personal story telling of various characters to overpowered nonsense action and over saturation of bloodlines
I know right. I don’t remember the last time I was this sick of seeing explosions on the screen and blabbering about chakra and power and shit. Sometimes it was cool and actually interesting, like the way kakashi explained why the Kunai was able to hit Tobi when he used his Kamui. That was how the action should have been executed IMO.
While I do agree with that 100% that only really became a problem in the war arc when naruto and sasuke were getting dummy strong. However I believe kishimoto did what he did with his side characters in og and early shippuden and just wanted to focus on naruto and sasuke, and that made for some of my favourite moments in the series. Even if he did it differently, naruto will and always will be my favourite series of all time
Only people who think this are those whose favorite characters are neji or some shit 🤷🏻♀️side characters are side characters for a reason. They serve a purpose, usually to help the MC develop. If you have a problem with that, then you have a problem with storytelling in general and should stick to another hobby 😅
I like Naruto for the same reason I dislike Naruto: Shippuuden, and that reason being that Naruto was about working hard to achieve your goals while Shippuuden is about being born into a goal-worthy state. Think about it. Naruto in the first series is all about working hard and doing your best because you can't just stumble into being powerful, but that's exactly what Naruto does in the second series. Naruto was born an Uzumaki, thus accounting for his large amounts of chakra and stamina, and his ability to get up when severely beaten down. He's Asura's reincarnation and has his chakra, meaning that Naruto's determination isn't even rightfully his. He only mastered Sage Mode because he was born with two practitioners in his family who could bring him back to learn it, he's distantly related to the Senju meaning that he's able to master techniques far faster than other people and not only that but because he's an Uzumaki he's matched Sage Modes minimum requirements for "extreme amounts of chakra" by default...That's something neither his dad or even his God Father could do, and they practiced it for years while he took only a few DAYS. Then, not only do we learn that he's gifted with all of these circumstances, we're told that he was DESTINED to save the world. A concept Naruto actively fought against as a kid, is wholeheartedly accepted in Shippuuden. Naruto's hard work is devalued to absolute zero at that point because it means Naruto's personality, his traits, his determination and all of that were pre-approved by some force outside of the series from the beginning. Naruto goes from being a goal-hardened knuckle head to a Puppet of some shadowy force (likely some deity we've never seen or heard of since we've seen things like that exist in the Naruto universe like Death, King of Hell, the afterlife, souls etc.), gifted with everything he ever needed from the very start. That's why I can't stand the second series, the core story just irks me far too much.
gerizzyYMcrew A persons _goals_ and their _determination_ are not the same. They are completely different. Nevertheless, Naruto's desire to become recognized by others, his lack of so called 'talent' and his friendship is the way attitude, does indeed come from Asura since that was his desire too before he died. It simply manifested in the way most recognizable to Naruto, that's all. Asura's determination and optimism and Indra's pessimism and lust for power is what caused their reincarnation's to continually clash throughout the generations. That's a fact stated by the Sage of Six Paths himself. Naruto is an Uzumaki, Uzumaki are gifted with accelerated healing, insane longevity, massive amounts of chakra, nearly inhuman levels of stamina, and due to their connection to the senju, they have the potential to master hundreds, if not thousands of techniques. Naruto is the only master of toad sage in the entire series, his father admits he never mastered it, his god father never mastered it, and he only knows about it because his god father was a toad sage. He could only master the whole thing _because_ the various advantages that were genetically gifted to him allowed him to. In fact, the Toads told Naruto that in order to draw on Natural energy in the first place, you NEEDED "Enormous amounts of Chakra." Do you know why Shadow clones are forbidden jutsu? They place a massive strain on the user's stamina and chakra and can easily KILL it's user. Guess Naruto just happened to luck out that his clan doesn't really worry about these things, huh? And thanks to those clones, and his Uzumaki blood, every jutsu he ever mastered becomes mere childs play. He was outright stated to be destined to become the greatest ninja ever and everything aligned to make sure that happened, so that's what he did. Where am I taking things out of context?
gerizzyYMcrew The entire point of my comment is that everything Naruto does he can do because he was BORN special. It isn't about him working hard because if he wasn't born with all those advantages, he never would have amounted to anything regardless of how hard he worked. In fact, let's just take away everything his Uzumaki blood allows him to do and think about what would happen. His shadow clones would have likely killed him so he never would use them, he never would have mastered Rasengan, he never would have mastered Sage Mode, he wouldn't even withstand one third of the damage he regularly does because no Uzumaki stamina, healing, chakra or senju connection means one thing. He would be a dirt poor ninja. The amount of work he puts in is SIGNIFICANTLY decreased due to all of his in-born abilities. In fact, because he can use Shadow Clones so many times in a row and in such massive quantities, Jutsu that usually take months can be learned in _hours_. Tell me, how hard do you truly have to work when you work several times more effectively, efficiently, and quantitatively better than everyone else....while also putting in less effort? Everything Naruto is, he only is because he's _Naruto_. It has nothing to do with his hard work because everyone in the series works hard, but because he was born as "The Chosen One" he was able to go farther with less effort. Everyone spent years learning dozens and dozens of jutsu to ensure they would even stand a chance against higher level opponents because their lives were always on the line. Naruto learned 3 in the collective time frame of 2 months and could beat every single one of them because he's basically a god now. Nothing was taken out of context, nothing has been negated, this isn't something you can just ignore. Naruto's hard work turns out to be nowhere near as hard as it would be and should be. Shippuuden says screw all that and attributes Naruto's success to his DNA and nothing more.
This was a very different take on how the series progressed and dwindled in popularity, and I really like it. I can't say I ever really thought about just how much BIGGER fights were later on, and not necessarily in impact or length, but in physical scale. And yeah, actually thinking on it now, that was a pretty big problem. WARNING: If you read this, be warned that this is long, and covers opinions and comparisons between all three of the "Big Three" series. I'd like to say that all of these are simply to strengthen the overall argument, but I'll put a TLDR at the top just in case. I did provide examples of why I believed each of these points in each section though, so if you are curious, please pardon my long-winded nature and enjoy the read. TLDR: Naruto lacks sub-plots that affect the overarching goal after a certain point. Bleach never had an overarching goal, so it fell faster as a result. One Piece has MANY overarching goals with many meaningful sub-plots that cannot be written off due to their impact on the main goal. The series never 'fell' in the same sense that Bleach did, because unlike Bleach readers knew what the end goal was, and were reading to find out how it got to that point. Bleach... had no conclusive point beyond Aizen, and even then, Aizen wasn't ICHIGO'S enemy, but he was the Soul Society's enemy. You'll have to pardon me here, cause I'm going to expand on this in order to convey my point despite this being a Bleach issue and not a Naruto issue. That distinction has a bigger impact than you might think. Lets face it, if Orihime wasn't kidnapped by Aizen, would Ichigo actually have a reason to even fight him till it was too late? And Aizen, the methodical and intelligent, completely ignored the fact that Ichigo was the one enemy he wasn't set up to fight. He had a plan for every other character, including his own allies, due to his Zanpakto. Ichigo was a factor he didn't seem to account for though, and that sort of negates the impact he had in two big ways. It didn't fit Aizen's character, and it made him kidnapping Orihime add enemies he could not keep in check for no reason. Again, would Ichigo have bothered to go to Hueco Mundo if Orihime hadn't been taken. No. He had no reason. He had no stake in that fight until Orihime was taken, so we could only gather one thing from that. Orihime would be rescued. But... that wasn't even the end of that arc, it was just another piece of the journey that had no real destination. This is all ignoring Ywatch, cause... he wasn't really all that important to the plot till he finally popped up. He was just another one-off baddie who had a very long story arc, whereas Aizen's plot took place over at least 3 all by itself (Soul Society - pushed for Rukia's execution and thus led Ichigo and the others to show up, Hueco Mundo - His plot unfolds, and he kidnaps Orihime to allegedly push this forward. Fake Karakura - The final arc for Aizen's main plot, and his eventual fall at the hands of Ichigo) Back to Naruto, for a direct comparison. Throughout the series, Naruto has had two goals, one from the beginning, one from the middle. Become Hokage, and bring Sasuke back to Konoha. Readers could take a really good guess at how the series was going to end right there. Is that a bad thing though? No. This makes everything leading to that point mean more, because you get to know the journey to that goal. Its a classic story-telling method. You know the beginning and you know the end, so the only thing that matters at that point is what connects them. In that way, several of the story arcs become a little more impactful to the whole of the story, as it is Naruto's journey to achieve those two goals. What everyone else was after was sub-plot, and while it was interesting and added a lot to the story, it wasn't completely necessary to get to that goal. That is where Naruto fell, is the other characters beyond Naruto and Sasuke didn't feel like they added as much to the story as they could have if their character arcs had more impact on the progression of the story. I'm not saying they didn't, cause many of them had a HUGE impact... but not all of them. You'd probably notice that it started to become less important what happened to the other cast members around the time the timeskip happened. Did team Guy grow from helping Naruto rescue Gaara? Not really. Did Gaara being rescued have any impact on Naruto's character progression? Not really. Did Asuma dying and his team seeking to avenge him affect Naruto's character progression? That was an entire arc, and it had almost ZERO impact on Naruto, as he was doing his own thing. The only ones that mattered were Naruto and Sasuke, as everyone else just sort of played tiny roles and faded into the background. Kishimoto's downfall was his plot not having enough room for these characters to have the impact they had before the timeskip happened. Even the big baddies of the series, Madara and Kaguya, were just another plot point to bring Naruto and Sasuke to their final fight. They had very little impact on how that fight went besides the power ups that the two got from those fights. But unlike Aizen, they still acted as plot points that helped lead to the conclusion that everyone was waiting for, albeit not in the way they may have wanted. I apologize for making this so long, but I have one more example here, to tie this up. One Piece, the last of the big three. One Piece as a series is about Luffy's adventure to find One Piece... but because of the mystery that is One Piece EVERY CHARACTER CAN MAKE AN IMPACT! The adventure becomes less about finding One Piece as it is about the world Luffy is exploring, and the people he meets who make an impact on his life, or who are impacted by his actions. And since characters who appeared to be one-off baddies can and will return, and sometimes play a role in how Luffy pushes forward - the greatest examples being Buggy, Mr. 2, Mr. 3, and Crocodile (Mr. 1 as well I suppose, but he had less impact on Luffy's escape than he did Crocodile's, though that isn't entirely a bad thing as that still connects to Luffy) during the Impel Down arc. Would the story be the same without them? No actually. Each of them made an impact on the story, even if it was just as simple as making sure Luffy made it out of Impel Down alive. And One Piece goes further than this, since it isn't just Luffy's defined journey, but the journeys of EVERY CHARACTER! Zoro's struggles to become the greatest swordsman, and how each fight helps him grow. Nami's dream of charting the world's oceans is pushed by simply moving forward. Usopp's hopes of becoming a true man - like the warriors he looks up to from Elbaf, and like his father Yasopp - are guided by his slowly finding just how outclassed he is and trying to do his best to still push onward. Sanji's hopes of finding the All Blue... well, we'll ignore that one for now, cause I feel like this latest arc will show a bit more depth to his character even from this point forward. Chopper's aspiration to find a cure for every disease marches forward with his medical skills growing as he has to help the crew with more and more injuries. Robin's quest to find out the history behind the Void Century, and read all the Poneglyphs scattered around the world marches forward as she goes around the oceans with the crew. Franky's dream of making a ship that sails to Raftel will be completed by making sure the Thousand Sunny makes it there. Brook's promise to see Laboon again after dying in the Florian Triangle and being revived are pushed forward by his moving further and further along the Grand Line, hoping to cross the Red Line again at the end in order to find Laboon and share all his memories with his dear friend. This point is long-winded, but I think it shows kind of what I'm saying. Each character has a end-goal that you know they will reach, but how they reach their goals is what is important. I don't really think you can say the same for most of Naruto's characters, and I KNOW you can't with most of Bleach's cast, including Ichigo. Even knowing how old this video is, I feel this is still a very relevant topic for any manga lover, so I'm still going to leave this comment here. For anyone who read the entire thing, thank you so much for having the patience to read through my rant. I hope this at least made you think about what you feel was done wrong or right with all three of these beloved series.
Borno Nur Thank you. Seeing this comment was actually incredibly awesome. I didn't actually expect many people to care to read it if I'm being honest. So it really made my day seeing this in my notifications. However, I'm not sure I'd have the confidence to make videos, or even physically speak about these things on the internet. I won't say I couldn't, cause I tend to over-analyze games and anime simply because I am looking for inspiration, but it is usually internal monologues, or long-winded comments like this one that come from it. I'm trying to get into game design so that I can eventually create something that could use story telling elements like my favorite works - like One Piece. One Piece is actually my biggest inspiration if I'm honest. Every detail is so well thought out, and there are so many things to latch onto and theorize on. Nothing is perfectly clear, but they are defined in such a way that readers can enjoy the mystery and adventure. On top of that, everything in the world of One Piece makes sense within the rules of its world. Devil Fruits have clear powers and limits - I'll use Buggy as the best example. Buggy's power allows him to split his body freely and without limit... except that his feet need to be on a platform of some form, even if that platform is another person's arms, and his body parts can only go so far from his body. It is a fantastical power that makes no sense in our reality... but they follow logic and rules that actually make a lot of sense. I'm probably not helping my initial point about my lack of confidence, but typing or writing out these sorts of things comes very easily. I enjoy them, and I sometimes keep what I type out for my own reference. These actually aren't even points I actively think about often, but when I really get into it the words just flow out. I'll randomly have something make me think of these things and can literally go hours thinking on these topics and going over any and all details I can to support my arguments, even if I never present it to anyone. I don't think I can make a story that could hold a candle to any of these series, even with the thousands of ideas that flow into my head, but I just want to create something that people can enjoy, like I enjoy these excellent stories as I have enjoyed my favorites. Even if one person finds that enjoyment through something I make, that will be a roaring success in my eyes. I'm sort of cheesy and old-fashion in that sense. I sort of ended up typing a whole bunch again, so I'll wrap this up with this - Thank you. Your comment is appreciated, and really made my day that much better.
Wow i would never really think of things like this and it was very interesting reading ur comments and if u did make analysis vids i would totally watch them cause i find them interesting just like the two comments u made.
Nakazora Gen This comment really made me think about my favorite anime (Naruto) a lot. Your right about the minor Characters having little to no character development, which is sad because it would have been cool to see the other teams grow in a cool way. Like they all should have had some good character development, like shino, kiba, hinata, ino, tenten, and especially sakura should have started to train harder after the chunin exams. Because I believe they should have seen that they are lacking in several aspects of being a ninja that, they should have started to train their butt's off to become stronger. Team asuma should started to train harder in order to get revenge against hidan, kurenai should've had her team train with guy to work on their taijutsu (especially shino) after the their first mission out of the village. Kakashi should've been serious with team 7 from the beginning, especially after meeting them and after testing them in the genin exams, same thing with asuma and kurenai. I think that everything I just mentioned would've been good for all of the rookie 9, especially teams 7 & 8.
Naruto's obsession with saving crazy Sasuke and Sasuke being this psychopathic murderer ruined the series for me. Naruto had tons of people (Shikamaru, Neji, etc) who risked their lives for Naruto because they believed in him. Yet to him Sasuke is his only "Best Friend". His regard for his comrades is awful and very insulting. Naruto would sacrifice all of his friends if it meant "saving" Sasuke. Sasuke was practically a story-cancer for the series and ruining a lot of growth and progression for me.
Dude c'mon, Naruto wanted a taste of Sasuke's 4 incher this whole series, but the editors wouldn't let Kishimoto do it because the Japanese despise gays.
That's when everything died for me too, when Naruto went chasing after Sasuke and gathered a whole team that almost died and Sasuke basically said that he wasn't interested anymore and tried to kill Naruto, and Naruto STILL wanted Sasuke back. Sasuke should've died when Itachi came back during the first half.
I’ve now seen the last moments of Naruto Shippuden series for the 16th time now and every time I see, I can’t hel but cry Naruto is the first anime I’ve ever seen, and that was during when I was going through a hard time As a thirteen year old, I’ve been through many things that average people hasn’t gone through, but this excellent series was there to cure my depression Things are sort out lately, I’ve turned 15 and have seen many anime now. I’m currently happy , but never seen an anime like Naruto, that touched me so emotionally. Maybe because it was the first I’ve seen?
@The ThanosFrosty he is awesome, but not interesting. He's awesome, but way too powerful. He breaks the world, and too powerful enemies make stories boring ima world where power creep really affects reality. I kinda liked the idea of Madara being there, until it stopped trying to work in the world that had been constructed, to the point where it had to be removed by a waaay less interesting character (Kaguya was a mistake, and I want someone to prove me wrong).
@The Almighty Thanos it's not about what he did, it's about how he was executed. I can argue how Haku and Zabuza were better villains and it won't have anything to do with power levels or how much they "technically" accomplished, but rather how well they were written into the story.
The series I believe is fucking great up to the end of the Pain saga. Before the ninja war arc, a few side-characters were used properly, such as Asuma, Shikamaru, Sakura, Jiraia and such. Afterwards, literally NO ONE ELSE mattered other than the OP zombies, Naruto, and Sasuke out of nowhere at the end. Rock Lee and Neji were done the most disservice in Shippuden. Sure it had a few great moments, such as Obito vs Kakashi and Guy vs Madara, but all that awesomeness could have been done without such a huge "war" going on, and having Naruto vs Sasuke fight it out at the end without the sage of six path' mother bullshit story or whatever. I'm just saying that the series had such great potential after the pain arc with Obito.
{SPOILERS and ending Discussed} What really hurt the series for me was the ending of it. It felt as if the whole series turned its back on itself. The original meaning was shown in Naruto Vs Neji. Naruto was saying that hard work mattered most and that you weren’t held back by some destiny or prophecy, that you could come from nothing and still be something. Well yeah, Naruto ended up being a god or something and Lee ended up useless. Shows how much hard work means jack shit in the series in the end lol. Not to mention Neji was like, “My purpose is to die for Hinata’s family.” And Naruto was like, “No! There is no destiny! You choose that! BELIEVE IT!” And then Neji dies defending that family. So the moral of the story is some are born gods and to be great and others aren’t.
Bro destiny or no destiny Neji probably would've died for his family without question. It was his little cousin. Of course he is going to protect. Wut?
I think Lee can still solo many characters. Besides that we saw the strength of Guy when he fought with Madara. Guy was the same as Lee who couldnt use any ninjutsu and genjutsu and became strong with training, even much stronger than kakashi who has kekkei genkai and talent. So it means that you can change your destiny and hard working overcomes talent. But u have a point there bro. I agree with some of your points
I agree with almost everything you said, good analysis, except for one part-- Naruto Lore. In my opinion, I was more interested in the 'genesis' of the conflict-- Madara, Obito, the Uchiha Clan and the twists that came with their revelations more than the 'growing up ninjas'. While the latter, as you mentioned, is way more nostalgic and reminded me of the old days (Began watching Naruto when I was 13, now im 24), it was going no where. That's, however, my own personal opinion. Thank you for your videos, they are very clever and informative. Keep it up.
Why is he a good one? You know, I love the Uchihas, they are pretty cool, and fuck, I'm willing to accept Itachi escaping Kabuto's Reanimation. But Madara is a crybaby that carried a grudge to everyone, that is somehow able to do whatever the fuck he wants just because plot.
@Kevin Luna I'm talking about the personality of the villains. Orochimaru would have been an incredible final villain if the show had not overstated the power scale in the final.
He was good until he was revealed and they were fighting him The mystique was gone and it felt like they kept jumping the shark with his power escalation
I think there's an easy fix for filler in Naruto, and that's to make it about someone else: Give one of the supporting characters some time in the spotlight. People would have loved a Rock Lee arc, or another Shikamaru (best boy) arc. Or give Tenten some screen time.
They probably would still say no, but I support your idea. Could be good character development for the minor characters and further solidify their motivations especially when they grow older.
They still can't have any major change, because even the secondary characters have to be consistent. The best kind of filler would be in the past (yes, it would break the flow, jumping from present to past, but the series breaks the flow as is, giving you filler in the middle of intense moments)
It could work since One Piece does similar things after a major arc completes. The one that sticks out is the Water 7 when episodes use half their run-time to follow one member of the crew. Like Sanji's episode on salt is actually one of my favorites.
They did. They made filler about just about anything. But the problem with Naruto filler is: *it usually starts off pretty cool *It slumps and goes in stupid directions *the final episode wraps everything up with asspulls.
+Troudeculinos 1: Filler set in the past is the worst kind of filler, because it's blatant about it being filler. The best kind of filler is the filler that doesn't feel like filler. The second best (or maybe this is the best, it's debatable) is the kind that fix problems:Like how many characters disappear into the background. 2: It doesn't need to break flow. If you're strategic about it; setting them in the downtime between arcs. I know there was a problem later, with the later boss fights, but that's why you're pushing it early on, with longer filler arcs. The reason people tend to hate filler is because ut breaks flow, this way it doesn't. People are also more tolerant of it if it's about fan favorites doing awesome things.
Watching this after the minato oneshot just came out really hits hard. Now kishimotos art and creative highs is probably at its sharpest and most creative its ever been because he was able to focus on one single piece he was "passionate" about after taking a break for so long and with so much source material behind him he was able to make a good manga with set rules of the world which only took him less then a couple of months to make great 55 pages
Pushkar Sarkar Fans can't force that. You can say that they determine the success of something because certainly they opine on whether a product is to their satisfaction or not. Which is to say that if someone stops making something, then the consumer can opine on how horrible an author is (which can damage an author's reputation). Yes, the fans guide the social rules... but it is not correct to say that they are the cause that make creators create.
But that is entirely the "business people"s' subjective call (based on who knows what). Fans don't force that. There have been many instances where fans want something and it doesn't get produced, and instances where things are produced and nobody asked for it. Whether "business people" make something or don't, fans can't do shit about it, only vote with their wallets.
I haven't watched Naruto but when I heard it's going to finish i started watching it on the same day and now 10 months later, after watching 720 episodes, 13 OVAs, 10 movies I feel fucking dead inside. THE BEST 10 MONTHS OF MY LIFE 😢
IMO, Naruto had better pacing in its story but too many fillers, and the story following Sasuke is boring except when he's still chasing Itachi. The last war was good, but could be better... Bleach is kinda repeatable after they save Rukia... to a point where I feel that the filler episodes are better than the main arc afterwards. One Piece... I don't know. It was great until the great war, after that it started progressing so slow (that's how it felt for me). Kinda like the problem with Naruto -> Shippuuden.
@@sharksharpy I know, it's the only show that actually makes me cry bro. Like fuck when that sad music starts playing and those flashbacks kick in I cant😂 it's so emotional, the story is great, the character development, the way naruto grows up from being bullied and having everyone hate him to being the leader of the village and the savior that's respected is so fucking good
I think I'll be 80 years old and still be re-watching Naruto from time to time, can't say the same for any other anime. It's not about the story anymore, we know what happened already. It's the characters, their relationships, the angst, the drama, all those nostalgic feelings that put me right back to the time when I experienced it for the first time.
My main problem with Naruto the second half of the series is just chasing Sasuke which not only makes me start to hate the character but I also get annoyed with the characters I actually like giving the emo mophead a second chance when he deserves none. It should've gone the Harry Potter formula building to the big finale instead world tripping by the middle of the story.
yeah...sakura and Naruto were already pretty shitty but their obsession with sasuke was what killed the series for me and many which is why we love the itachi and pain arcs...Naruto and sasuke aren't thinking about one another for once...they remember they had lives outside of each other...sasuke kills itachi and Naruto fights pain not even thinking about sasuke for an entire arc...
I don't mind a final confrontation with Sasuke, and when they meet it often is interesting and makes sense, it's just Naruto and Sakura constantly yammering on and going out of their way to look for Sasuke when it makes no sense and doesn't help either of them in the least, merely serving to distract from the narrative. I feel like Naruto should've learned, at some point, that relationships become easier once you stop trying to force them, and that should've been a lesson applied to Sasuke. But then, I am only speaking from my own experience.
+Kamden Well, from a legal standpoint, what would've realistically happened if he went back to the Leaf? Going rogue itself is considered punishable by death in the Ninja villages. He also associated himself with criminals who'd attempted to destroy the village(Orochimaru and the Akatsuki), performed an act of war against the hidden Cloud which could've easily led to a war between them and the Leaf, assaulted the 5 kage in the land of Iron, killed many samurai, and assassinated an acting Hokage. If he'd decided to return to the Village anytime before he did, he would have simply been executed. Hell, it's amazing Kakashi was even capable of pardoning Sasuke without drawing the ire of the whole village.
Will you ever do a video on Fairy Tail? Because, for whatever reason, FT has nearly EVERY flaw Bleach had, and to a bigger degree arcs are episodic in nature and unconnected, characters get very little development, arcs are also very formulaic...Bleach repeated it's formula 2-3 times...FT 5-6 times....yet, it remains popular. I'd be really interested to see your analysis on why FT remains popular despite having basically same yet even worse flaws.. The obvious answer is tits n ass, as well as romance shipping....but i mean, there has to be more than that, right?
+The Swagneel what do you mean the ships .I personally don't take fairy tale as the best manga of all time .I take it as the poplaur manga .The biggest poplaur with that is friendship and family has been used in shonen a lot of times .I'm not saying it's bad just some boring .Your right it doesn't repeat it's arc .I personally think most of the audience don't like most of the fairy tale cast
I actually can't watch Fairy Tail. Having the protagonists come out on top via deus ex machina every fucking arc drove me crazy. A common argument to this is, "urr durr durr it's Shounen, stupid!" But no, it's definitely not as simple as saying, "Shounen = deus ex machina = what did you expect?" Even disregarding that, it's no excuse when it can still be entertaining if it would just be WRITTEN BETTER. Fairy Tail is just too irrational, flashy, cliche, and superficial as a series for me. At least in other series, the writers will make fight scenes entertaining with detailed and well-written character development, feels, and victory by means of a character's wit/growth/determination. Fairy Tail lacks these connections with me, and I'm actually a little disgusted at how much support it has.
Mark LaFrancis Realistically One Piece will probably end with in the next 10 to 15 years at most. I think one of the most popular fan opinions is that Oda will try to bring the series to an end in 2027 making it 30 years old, though depending on how he ages over the next decade he might slow it down and the series might make it as far as 35 years old xD
The thing is with JoJo, is that each arc isn't focused on 1 group, every few arcs has a new set of characters, which refreshes the show and adds more posabilities to the story like with doctor who.
Naruto: Ninja using strategy and wit to win fights and small skirmishes. Naruto Shippuden: LOTR style battles, DBZ powers, a complicated storyline at times, background characters become static and the focus is solely Naruto (for the most part).
@@jandiethervalero9906 Which doesn't make any sense, since Obito is much stronger than Kakashi and this scene was made just to have an emotional scene with both of them.
@@enzojose4001 he may be stronger than Kakashi but the fight shows how they pull of a move in which will lead to victory... yes one could argue that their fight is emotional but to me that's why it makes sense to show who is the most smartest fighter, because no matter how emotionally distraught those two are, Obito being so mad about of what happened in the past and Kakashi being guilty of what happened in the past, yet it shows how focus they are and how smart they try to outwit each other. You pretty much implied that the strong always wins the fight... which that fight in Naruto Shippūden shows that it is not... and it's not just that fight...
@@enzojose4001 and I'm not saying that it is always that... I mean Naruto and Sasuke's final battle is pretty much a Dragon Ball kinda fight as they're just unleashing their godlike power to each other... so yeah, apologized for the long read but the point remains that the spirit of how they fight in Naruto can still be seen in Naruto Shippūden
Kinda gone down a naruto rabbit hole. Brings me back to my childhood. Just happy to have had it in my life. Hope all artists and workers involved in Naruto are enjoying life
To the people debating the "Working hard" plot of Naruto Vs the "Born with power" plot of Shippuden, I see the difference and reasoning as this: By the Pain saga, Naruto realized his potential, and made friends, and had family in his friends. He accomplished his goals, and everyone loved him and knew his name, but there's a world out there, a world that doesn't care about 1 person, and that world was being threatened, so Naruto achieving his dreams would never have been enough, we would want to see Naruto utilizing his goal to help people, and to see how far he'll come and progress, and that's what Shippuden did. It formed a world outside of Naruto's neighborhood that was twisted, and sick, and it needed a hero, So Naruto-backed with his family, friends, and realized potential left the safety of his village and plunged himself into a higher stakes game, where the rules are new and he wasn't promised anything, and he was victorious in that world, and THAT'S what made Naruto the 7th Hokage, him realizing his power and having family and friends put him on the same playing field as everyone else, Shippuden made him larger than life, which is the road to becoming an important person, not just in his village, but in the eyes of the world. Shippuden was The Heroes Journey, revitalized, and amped, which makes it a GREAT sequel to the original heroes journey, of Naruto.
Even when people say Naruto's relation to Ashura, one of the two sons of the Sage of Six Paths, ruins the whole 'Hard Work beats talent' aesop, I actually don't see the problem, considering Naruto's tale very much mimics his ancestor- *He was born with absolutely no talent despite his parents being extremely talented, and had to grow stronger with the assistance of others.* Be it training with Kakashi, Jiraiya or Yamato early in the series, the Toad Sages of Mt. Myoboku when he learned Sage Mode, Training with Killer B to unlock his Kyuubi Chakra Mode, linking with Kurama to perfect it, or even getting gifted power by the Sage of Six Paths himself- Naruto required the assistance of others to reach where he did.
But then it seems like, oh they reincarnated tons of times with only a minor change each reincarnation, they are the same as hashirama and madara, minus the powers, nothing's different
except Naruto went from underdog who always helped people in trouble to whiny self absorbed douche..and to god and child of prophecy and even when he died he got brought back to life just for being a senju reincarnation ...neji died for him for no reason as he would have been brought back by te sage anyways...and yet he continued to chase sasuke as if neji didn't mean shit to him even though he died for him and sasuke wasn't trying to kill him... as not only did it not get hinata and Naruto closer from nejis sacrifice but Naruto seems to not learn a thing from it and insists obito was cool just because he had a same dream long ago?...I hate narutos character in shipuden mostly because he ignored hinata even after pain and the war?.....that's cold...
@Asmosis Jones The Last gives a very good reason for that: Due to his rather poor childhood, Naruto simply did not grasp the concept of love, and it took a LOT of prodding from everyone to get him to realize his feelings for Hinata.
alexander arkum aizen was the main villain of two major arcs in bleach (yes I'm considering the entirety of the arrancar thing as its own arc since I'm not stupid), and was introduced as manipulative, conniving chessmaster....whose plan kinda made no sense and devolved into being literally invincible until the hero beats him and its implied only cause aizen wanted to be beaten for reasons.
I just want to see an arc where Krillin goes to the World Martial Arts Tournament without any of the other main cast, and no villains crash it, just so I can watch him clean house. That guy has to be utterly unstoppable compared to anyone not on the power treadmill of the rest of the series.
I was into the Naruto manga and anime when they came out but eventually started losing interest at the beginning of the war arc. I actually remember the last chapter I read was when Madara showed up, but real-life issues prevented me from continuing. However, the fade of interest also kept me getting back into the series until finally this year. I like Shippudden and skipped all the fillers, but it was horrible watching so many great characters getting sidelined due to absurd power gaps. Us as fans never getting Rock Lee vs Neji is borderline criminal, and so is the lack of character in any female character outside of Tsunade. However it does have many great moments as well, and I won't lie about tearing up when Jiarya met his fate or discovering Itachi's tragic past. I couldn't agree more about Naruto being full of highs and lows.
derindel -thrall would it not be better to learn the proper word? I’m sure a lot of people would care. And I was only correcting the person who said that jutsu literally means magic.
The reason Naruto did better than Bleach was because from the very beginning it had established its' end goal, Naruto becoming hokage. Bleach never had an end goal. There was nothing Ichigo was truly striving for since the beginning of the series, so when that show started falling apart there was no reason for fans to keep reading because they didn't know what to expect at the end of it all. Naruto readers knew what the end game was thus even when it started falling apart people still wanted to keep up because they wanted to see Naruto reach his goal. Bleach lacked that goal that allows its' readers to attach themselves to the characters thus Bleach readers had less of a reason to keep reading Bleach. Most popular shounen/sports anime have well established goals (find "one piece" and become king of the pirates, win at nationals, hunt father etc) and I believe these overall end goals are included to keep viewers interested in seeing characters, that over time they become endeared to, reach their goals.
man, this just makes me wish kubo could've continued zombie powder, as that at least gave the characters an end goal (get the titular zombie powder), but he had to do bleach instead and look where that got us at least zombie powder would've been a more interesting disaster if it failed as bleach did
+Uzumaki “うずまきナルト” Naruto it 's how the anime is .Shippuden was just way too long .The great ninja war arc was just too long .I can understand people's pain of this arc
+Uzumaki “うずまきナルト” Naruto when I watched one piece too it took me two years as well .I mean when watching of it's franchise .So anime can teach us a lesson "Be healthy when watching a long runner .Otherwise you just can't keep up and get sick and tired of it
I don't really think that says anything about Madara as a character, sure the story did a great job foreshadowing and developing him as a villian -- But they didn't really do much as far as him as a character imo... maybe im just gay though
Pain should have been the final villain, and it should have ended when Naruto beat him and earned the village's approval. That was such a meaningful moment, and I felt it. Like SEW said, they should have went from there to finding Sasuke and doing that arc. Skip the war. That is what lost me. It overshadowed the current cast with the cast of the past, and ensured that Naruto and Sasuke would need to OP OP it up in order to surpass them, which is the point all along.
With all that effort put into making Madara such an uncrossable gap - being a character whose base form only the First Hokage could beat and all - Madara's death felt so... lacking. Kaguya as a villain had NO substance. Madara could have been way better.
The pain battle was indeed the highest point in the series for me, but madara was a welcome addition that wasn`t built up correctly, as Naruto still had unfinished business as bringing back sasuke and hunting the rest of the akatsuki like zetsu and kisame. Kishimoto hadn`t finished with all the bijuus either. It needed a final arc beyond that, because i think that the point in which this battle took place was well adjusted to the plot.
There were so many plot holes in his plan. It was the biggest asspull plan to begin with.... 1. Getting Senju cells from fighting Hashirama. 2. Getting Gedou Masou and fusing with it to survive. 3. Saving a fucking halfmashed Uchiha kid under stones to stitch him together with Setzu to have a henchman. 4. Manipulate the Henchman by accidently running right at time to see his former friend killing his former love interest in an out of context situation (that somehow made no sense to begin with). 5. Getting his Henchman to manipulate the Kyuubi detsroying the Knoha Village (even if his actual goal was peace). 6. Letting his own eyes transplanted on some Uzumaki Family kid and manipulate him him to found a rebellious organisation that later becomes Akatsuki. 7. Let akatsuki Catch Bijuu even if Obito was able to manipulate bijuu by himself. 8. Let the kid with the Rinnegan reawaken Madara even if he thought that Obito was the real Madara which could be interpreted as betrayal by Pain (which would have concluded in a big fight bewteen certain characters in the organisation as most even thought Pain was the leader and Obito a dumb Henchman. Itachi wouzld have probably tried to kill Obito after finding out that he is NOT Madara and his only power at this point was dimension travel. The only reason his plan worked was because everyone else in Akatsuki died before and Kabuto allied with Obito and dummoned Madara as Edo Tensei ,lol.
The “Picollo effect” was what ended my time with the series. The battles towards the end of the series just didn’t resemble anything even hinted at with the earlier chapters, where even higher tier characters used relatively tame jutsu. There are no hints of super powered Susano’o or ocular powers that allowed you to destroy armies by yourself. It just stopped being about ninjas and became a DBZ-lite kind of story. The plot and some of the villains still interested me, but overall I just couldn’t recognize it as the same story Kishimoto likely had in mind back in Part 1-mid Shippuden. Anyway, fantastic analysis; you deserve all the attention you’re getting, and probably more. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Xenphobe777 that's just not true. In the VERY beginning of the series, you can clearly see a giant fox almost destroying an entire village. Why wouldn't Naruto be that strong if he learned how to control said fox? Just don't put your ignorance on Kishimoto
Close to the end of the manga, Kishimoto's father passed away and he only took a week off to grieve. This is yet another industry that cares only about dollars, which is probably another reason why the quality of the writing is not consistent. That, and how does someone find enough time to sleep or eat when they have to produce one chapter every single week for the span of fifteen years? As frustrating a ride as Naruto has been for me, I can't help but respect Kishimoto's grind with this series.
The series started dropping a little bit in quality since after the Chunnin Exams, but for me the main point where the series really fell down was after Pain and Nagato. Because by the end of that arc, Naruto had achieved what he actually wanted. He didn't want to be Hokage because of the title, he wanted to be Hokage because he wanted to accepted, to be respected, that people would stop judging him and ignoring him and treating him as well, a human. And he had achieved that by the end of the pain arc. So what even is the point of keeping it going after that? He did what he wanted to, he got what he wanted to, he grew and can finally be happy. So why even bother to go for the Hokage title at that point? Especially because, as we can see in Boruto, the title really hasn't done anything for him at all, in fact it has only made his life worse, and it hasn't made him any more famous or respected. For me, Naruto deciding to forfeit the title of Hokage would've been a far better development than anything that came after Pain arc, because it would've shown how mature he got. It would've shown that he could finally learn how to see things for what they truly mean, rather than what they're called. There was just no point, narratively speaking, for Naruto to be hokage other than that's just because that's what he wanted as a kid.
Naruto's character arc still had some loose ends after the Pain arc. Sure, he had been accepted by the village, but during his character arc, Naruto's motivation had evolved, and now he cared about protecting the whole ninja world. Something he could do as a Hokage more efficiently. However, he felt that, in order to be truly worthy of being that kind of Hokage, he had to be capable of protecting his closest friends. And that included Sasuke, who was pretty much the representation of that change in his motivation. The problem is, those loose ends could have been resolved rather quickly. One full story arc that could have taken maybe an extra year, tops. Instead, we got the Ninja War arc, which lasted for FIVE YEARS.
Think about the pace of that arc... Chronologically, the war only lasted 3 days, tops, but it was spread over a weekly manga over the course of 5 years. A complete nightmare to sit through. It's the same issue I had with the infamous boat part from Berserk, except even that wasn't as tedious. It's not as big of an issue now that you can binge read the whole thing, but rather it serves to accentuate why Naruto lost steam, especially over the turn of the decade - The arc was so fucking slow, it was a torture to keep up with.
Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade the whole point of narutos story was to become the hokage whether or not he gained recognition from every1 or not that was still his end goal and if kishimoto ended it without naruto becoming hokage it would have been even worse than the bleach ending
I kinda feel like the ninja war tried to do too much at once. Kishimoto likely wanted to show us lots of interesting fights, but these fights were ultimately all rather lackluster, because Kishi tried to cram soo many into one arc. Not to mention that the arc felt kinda pointless, considering that tobi opted to just revive the ten-tails in an incomplete state anyway,I mean, why didn't he do that from the get go?He could have hidden somewhere safe, revived the ten-tails and waited until it regained its full power.
I think you missed something important there. It's actually addressed in story why Naruto keeps trying to become hokage. Itachi tells Naruto himself that Minato became Hokage to protect the village and that is what Naruto wanted to do. Sure he already had their respect but Naruto was able to show how much he cared for others when he realized that they were all out fighting to protect him and he threw himself onto the battlefield to protect them. The Boruto movie highlights this too. We see him using his clones to accomplish tasks for practically every villager, and when the bad guys attack he sacrificed himself to protect everyone else. His shift of focus to achieve the same goal is pretty realistic I think. It shows a degree of maturing on Naruto's part.

Honestly, the moment that Rock Lee dropped those weights before the absolute insanity that followed, is easily the moment Rock Lee became my favorite character. He had to deal with so much adversity, but found a way to train and dedicate his blood, sweat, and tears to becoming as strong as possible. From being the first person to ever land a proper hit on Gaara, he was instantly cool.

Quality over quantity
I mean one piece has kept up it's quality, rewarded the ongoing mysteries, kept the abilities diverse & creative, it's still going strong while keeping up the worldbuilding and not falling prey to a lot of the traps that the other 2 of the old big 3 had, power creep and overpowered abilities
Naruto didn't really ever have any ongoing compelling mysteries, but it did have way better character design, varying locations and powers, that's why I think it's still way better than dbz, we grew up on it but it's so repetetive and dull, with no variation in arcs or anything
OP definitely starts off more about the quest but the character building definitely gets really refined and fleshed out, each arc gets better for sure
But demon slayer was such a refreshing new story, i wish we did get more

Same I read the manga in like 4 weeks
wassup foxy i didn't know u would be here lol
That score sounding like a string version of the main theme was... chilling. I have goosebumps thinking about it. It’s called “The Road Continues”
That was before Boruto came along and ruined the entire series
The filler episode when Naruto's clones went on strike was actually pretty funny...
Also the Lee and Guy impersonators had me slapping my knees
That and the filler arc of One Piece where Sanji was cooking for the marines is proof that filler CAN actually be good. :)
And the two where they try to get a look at Kakashi without his mask

Madara and Obito were really good villains. The Kaguya shit was way off
When Obito became Juubi's jinchuriki I thought: "Holy shit, he evolved into Mewtwo/Freezer!" :D That was epic.
I'd argue Kaguya was the best thing for Madara's Character.
The execution was just poor.
I don't even like Madara but the way he was written out of the story feels just very very wrong after all this building up.
Obito was well built, but badly executed. His backstory was fantastic, but his present character was disposable and shallow.

@@nickchavarria8052 It's not actually filler; it's supposed to be "adaptation expansion" as in the manga presents the barebones version while the anime takes its time and expands on everything. According to interviews, both the manga and the anime are considered canon.

1. The anime can avoid the problem Naruto had where over 40% of the show was filler to avoid overtaking the manga.
2. The manga is a monthly release rather than a weekly release

The only thing that messed the ending for me was Kaguya. Madara should have been the final villain before Naruto's fight with Sasuke.

How did Bleach end? I haven't read or watched Bleach (just a Naruto fan honestly) but I've heard the same complaints about the ending from the fans. Can you please tell me? I don't care about spoilers.

I actually say Bleach Ending>Naruto Ending because it didn't end in a fucking orgy.
Hey Bussy
I liked the Naruto X Hinata, Sasuke X Sakura, and Shikamaru X Temari ships but everything else didn't make sense.
Sasuke wasn't even supposed to be in the story, lol."*

The reason you lost is because i was your opponent
That's why staff is there in the first place.
@Rafael,
I'm not going to say Bleach was as good a series by comparison, it isn't (especially compared to One Piece), but it wasn't without virtue.
I could probably do a small novela on objective criticism for the series based on how much there ended up being to comment on, so to keep it short, bullet-point virtues (and their failings):
1) Really interesting themes rarely seen in Japanese narratives, original plot concepts that served well to explore complex ideas and questions.... that spent the early part of the series sort of like oasis surrounded by deserts of fight scenes, and later sort of were buried and forgotten entirely
2) A really sizeable cast of quirky, memorable, and enjoyable characters, some of the more detailed of which were genuinely interesting and complex... almost all of which were eventually backseated, overshadowed, and eventually entirely neglected
3) A lot of passion and creativity on the part of the author as a result of him being a manga fan turned manga-ka... that pretty rapidly gave way to becoming masturabutory and self gratifying as he was too in love with his own ideas and embraced canned cool tropes over creativity
4) Systems of combat and power battles that made for riveting fights that were set pieces for some truly novel power ideas and cerebral battles... That became way too frequent, over powerered, and eventually crutches to a series losing most of what it used to stand on.
5) If talking about the anime, an absolutely stellar soundtrack that is easy to take for granted because of how often tracks are repeated because even half a dozen discs only go so far with over 300 episodes, but if considered individually are triumphs in setting the mood (as a bonus, the titles speak very clearly to intended themes of the series that were ultimately abandoned)
I don't recommend Bleach to people because it turns into such a damn slog to get to them, but it's a series with some really stellar moments and I don't begrudge myself the time spent on it because I was able to enjoy them.
Bluelore I like how you ignore Guy, and Naruto wasn't destined to end the Ashura/Indra feud.
Jovana Sanchez
I admit Guys performance towards the end was indeed pretty good and in my opinion one of the best scenes of the whole final arc.It still doesn't make up for the fact that Lee is so outclassed by so many, simply because they get to be born with an op kekkei genkai.
Jovana Sanchez
I really doubt that Lee could beat Kisame or Kakuzu.
What got me on naruto was tha zabuza fight
that arc is absolutely phenomenal, probably IMO one of the best arcs in shounen battle manga/anime

The End of One Piece: *BLANK*
There is no end.
World War 3 is happening before that.
Hopefully Japan doesn't get nuked again.
Oda said he knows what the ending is, but he has like 500 chapters left before then, and that was about a year ago I believe. So about a decade more of One Piece. That's insane.
If WW3 does happen The US won't bomb Japan. They are now allies. North Korea would bomb Japan most likely.
This meme needs to die. One Piece has a very defined end point. Moreso than when Naruto or Bleach ever did.
The Ending of One Piece is:
Luffy and the crew find the hidden chest that Gol D.Roger left.
his introduction was cool but all he did after that was just powering up more and more
Rezoan Nur exactly.Madara is just an OP character with apparent no reason for being evil
The problem is the 4th ninja war arc besides him was TERRIBLE!!! If they executed better and gave Kishimoto time to gather his thoughts into how to make the war great and to implement that character then it would've been great
Obito was a way better villain, he's motivation was simple and tragic: *lost his girl, fuck the world*
Did he say Madara was uninteresting? I highly disagree! He was an amazing villain!
Kaguya sucked tho
Honestly Orochimaru was cooler
Style over substance, Madara looks cool, act cool, its a badass but he has no depth, good motivation's and his goal its really cliche and forced
In other hand. ororchimaru has everything, but you know, kishimoto
Prodigy Enigma I would say Orochimaru and Pain were better but Madara was really cool too.
Madara was interesting until Kishimoto made him way too OP and then shafted him. Pain and Orochimaru were better villains in my humble opinion.
@@superawesome5780 Agree
Jay David “if he wanted Naruto characters to be DBZ level then he would’ve made some powerful planetary jutsu”
He did...Expansive Truth Seeking Orb.
@@YonkoJay It's can't destroy a planet wit the blast of a hand like DBZ characters.. LOL..
Kishimito is not worth that much for some reason.
Other massive mangkas like oda and toriyama are worth 200 million and 106 million respectively lol
@@Madhattersinjeans congrats jk Rowling has decided you are gay

The War arc was one hell of a crash and burn though. It was seriously the worst end possible to such promising plot points.
+ViolentScorl Also, also, I think Kakashi's Generations' childhood is way more interesting than Naruto's...
i also have the same problem as you are, maybe because the main focus or theme in the first part is acknowledgement and ninja way while the main focus in the second part is will of fire vs uchiha curse of hatred or you can say hope vs power, the Naruto main problem is also its too fast pace, that's why most characters who isnt Naruto's everyday inner circle or an Uchiha have so little development,...
that's why i dont hate the filler at all, there's a lot of Naruto shippuden filler that helps connect the missing link in the manga story, it also help completed Narutoverse in general,...
ViolentScorl the origin of Kakashi isn't a filler as it was also featured in the manga.

I think Madara was an amazing villain...
He was built up for so long and when he showed up it payed off
He has an amazing background story and his ideology is also interesting to see contrast with other characters in the show
Kaguya on the other hand...

The war being long made room for a lot of development with a lot of different side characters.
Yeah I think the peak was Naruto vs Pain. Awesome anime though
Yeah definitely that was the best fight in the whole show ❗️
Pain's speech is fucking legendary
The Legacy of Gaming fr that whole fight had u really into the show. Shit felt deep 😂😂
After the pain arc the power scaling got to fucking crazy
Should have been the end
For me Naruto manga dropped in quality somewhere when Naruto defeated Kakuzu and Pain: it started moving too fast, Naruto was gaining too much power and stories became too crazy. And anime was just low quality most of the time and had lots of fillers so I dropped it everntually.
I much prefer waiting with Attack on Titan and just reading the manga in between. At least then you don't get any shit that tarnishes the original narrative.
" Naruto was gaining too much power and stories became too crazy"
honestly it was needed for the power ups at least. i mean it was kinda fucking dumb after 2 years of training with jiryia HE FUCKIGN LEARNED NOTHING. he needed those powers up and they were believably because he trained for him. pretty much only after when obito was reveled it was a bit to much
probably because the main internal conflict that was the driving force for the series was concluded. Naruto was accepted.
yeh same the pain part was the best part for me though.
Skip the filler, fast forward through some of the great ninja war arc and Naruto is an enjoyable show
dude, I just watched the fights on youtube and since they talked about the past/history so much I figured out the story.
Im almost going into that arc, are all the non filler episodes at the beginning worth watching because i heard it has a slow start
that one guy, I really really really liked the war arc. It has a lot of great moments, but in the beginning, there are some boring characters that they fight, but it is just a couple episodes, but after it was so interesting, and btw. spoiler alert.................. blablabala spoiler alert........... they fight Zabuza and Haku again.
Pat Skillz so the beginning is boring? I might manga through the beginning cause i constantly switch between anime and manga
it's not all boring in the beginning, because you will see many fights from Konoha 11.
Strongly agree. As the characters matured, you see their motivations change, and many can identify with a particular character more.
John Ciulla k
Context
How you go about obtaining said goal, the barriers formed to onstruct you, the people themselves
In bleach, keeping loved ones safe equated to, sit and react to threats
In Naruto, Naruto is literally turning the foundation of their modern society on it's head
One is keeping the status quo, the other is changing it.
Shut up naruto sucks
Watch Bakuman then come back hehehehe
This show was my childhood and my teenage years. So long to the number 1 knuckleheaded ninja and friends! :'( :)
This was garbage
Matt Lucas OK, that's your opinion, like what I said is mine. Neither my opinion or yours is fact.
I like Naruto but I was always a bit upset with it. I felt it killed off Toonami because the line up sucked with it. But I do love the Naruto games, Naruto video games are the best anime games made. They told the story well too while being fun.
you watched dubbed version eww what were you thinking?

What I got out of this is that manga would be way better if there was no weekly magazine.
Seriously, it would be similar to say, "what if every game was created during a game jam?"
Monthly manga like Attack on Titan almost never have boring chapters.

It also took them literal decades to find a studio who could adapt the manga into an anime competently.

I do love when he drops the weights.
sleshstamp I'll give him that.
James Hughes They really are well done. The fight is one of the best I've ever seen.

Don't worry shippuden does suck ?
It's not terrible but it's so very much a downer of it's original themes.
Salvador Dolby I feel the same. Naruto shippuden sucks ass
gerizzyYMcrew A persons _goals_ and their _determination_ are not the same.
In fact, the Toads told Naruto that in order to draw on Natural energy in the first place, you NEEDED "Enormous amounts of Chakra."
Do you know why Shadow clones are forbidden jutsu?
Fake Karakura - The final arc for Aizen's main plot, and his eventual fall at the hands of Ichigo)
Back to Naruto, for a direct comparison.
I hope this at least made you think about what you feel was done wrong or right with all three of these beloved series.
very well said. you should make anime analysis videos.
QuinnStumbles thank you
Naruto's obsession with saving crazy Sasuke and Sasuke being this psychopathic murderer ruined the series for me.
Well I think it was less of an obsession and more of the show just exemplifying Naruto's character, the whole "never goes back on his word" shit
I agree. I don't see how Naruto and Sasuke are best friends but I do see how they are great rivals. Better than Kiba anyway
That's when everything died for me too, when Naruto went chasing after Sasuke and gathered a whole team that almost died and Sasuke basically said that he wasn't interested anymore and tried to kill Naruto, and Naruto STILL wanted Sasuke back. Sasuke should've died when Itachi came back during the first half.
boi naruto would do anything for even one friend
I’ve now seen the last moments of Naruto Shippuden series for the 16th time now and every time I see, I can’t hel but cry
Naruto is the first anime I’ve ever seen, and that was during when I was going through a hard time
As a thirteen year old, I’ve been through many things that average people hasn’t gone through, but this excellent series was there to cure my depression
Things are sort out lately, I’ve turned 15 and have seen many anime now. I’m currently happy , but never seen an anime like Naruto, that touched me so emotionally. Maybe because it was the first I’ve seen?
Kiba, tenten and shiino, team of neglected

Poor tenten

“Madara not interesting as villainsl”
Me T R I G E R R E D
ikr!
He right tho
@The ThanosFrosty he is awesome, but not interesting. He's awesome, but way too powerful. He breaks the world, and too powerful enemies make stories boring ima world where power creep really affects reality. I kinda liked the idea of Madara being there, until it stopped trying to work in the world that had been constructed, to the point where it had to be removed by a waaay less interesting character (Kaguya was a mistake, and I want someone to prove me wrong).
Swagkage gotta tell him straight
The Kage summit for me . That was the last time Naruto was really great it was so much fun watching sasuke kill Danzo
honestly thought the war arc was pretty good...despite some bullshit in between
The whole series is trash
{SPOILERS and ending Discussed}
What really hurt the series for me was the ending of it.
Then they used Neji's death as a driving force for the Naruto and Hinata ship. That had me seething
@@durbek4389 Guy can actually use ninjustu but chooses not to apparently
@@tyrkun1624 whaaaaaat. Are u lying bro. Seriously?
I agree with almost everything you said, good analysis, except for one part-- Naruto Lore. In my opinion, I was more interested in the 'genesis' of the conflict-- Madara, Obito, the Uchiha Clan and the twists that came with their revelations more than the 'growing up ninjas'. While the latter, as you mentioned, is way more nostalgic and reminded me of the old days (Began watching Naruto when I was 13, now im 24), it was going no where. That's, however, my own personal opinion. Thank you for your videos, they are very clever and informative. Keep it up.
Abdalla Tabtabae a
okay okaaay i agree with almost everything until this point
But did this guy called Madara a bad villain?
Madara is just like Nagato and Obito, but more op.
Pain and Orochimaru would have been a way better final villain.
He was good until he was revealed and they were fighting him
The mystique was gone and it felt like they kept jumping the shark with his power escalation
Kishimoto made madara way too strong throughout his role and thus didn't know how to kill him. So he just left it.
But the problem with Naruto filler is:
*it usually starts off pretty cool
*It slumps and goes in stupid directions
*the final episode wraps everything up with asspulls.
+Troudeculinos
1: Filler set in the past is the worst kind of filler, because it's blatant about it being filler.
Creativity should not be forced, that's one thing every business man should know
And yet is one thing almost every business person doesn't know.
Pushkar Sarkar
Fans can't force that.

Wow, very well said👏👏
Yea naruto has by far the best themes and parallels
Li-Li Mandragon why doesn't he deserve a second chance in part 1 he didn't even do anything wrong sasuke was their comrade.

Well, from a legal standpoint, what would've realistically happened if he went back to the Leaf?
It also contradicts itself too much for my tastes.

+ace power really for fairy tale .I never liked fairy tale .I think it's the characters coming back to life
Same. I did like it a lot at first but after the arc where everyone magically comes back to life, I completely dropped it.
+The Swagneel when people talk about why fairy tail can't have a crossover with the other shonen shows .They should know where the manga is published
For two years I had the 3 episodes that were Rock Lee vs Gaara. Motivated me like hell.

Kinda gone down a naruto rabbit hole. Brings me back to my childhood. Just happy to have had it in my life. Hope all artists and workers involved in Naruto are enjoying life
To the people debating the "Working hard" plot of Naruto Vs the "Born with power" plot of Shippuden, I see the difference and reasoning as this:
By the Pain saga, Naruto realized his potential, and made friends, and had family in his friends.
The world needed a hero, bruh? *Raises eyebrow.* That's just so pretentious and overblown
I was screaming like a little girl when lee dropped his weights. that shit was hype.
but madara is bae. that nigga is the aizen of naruto

alexander arkum aizen was the main villain of two major arcs in bleach (yes I'm considering the entirety of the arrancar thing as its own arc since I'm not stupid), and was introduced as manipulative, conniving chessmaster....whose plan kinda made no sense and devolved into being literally invincible until the hero beats him and its implied only cause aizen wanted to be beaten for reasons.

"NINJA MAGIC"

Jutsu litterally translates to magic
Nope, jutsu means art or skill. Magic in Japanese is mahou. Take kenjutsu for example, you wouldn't call it sword magic would you?
who cares. he called it magic as a way to explain their abilities to a wider audience that don't know what a jutsu is

Most popular shounen/sports anime have well established goals (find "one piece" and become king of the pirates, win at nationals, hunt father etc) and I believe these overall end goals are included to keep viewers interested in seeing characters, that over time they become endeared to, reach their goals.
man, this just makes me wish kubo could've continued zombie powder, as that at least gave the characters an end goal (get the titular zombie powder), but he had to do bleach instead and look where that got us
at least zombie powder would've been a more interesting disaster if it failed as bleach did
The reason i kept up with bleach was because i wanted to see the remaining bankai lol.

This is 4 years old, but thank you for making this video. Naruto was a huge part of my childhood and this video filled me with so much nostalgia.
interesting how you said Madara was a boring villan. I disagree. I think that evolving the Akatsuki into a Madara master plan was pretty neat.
It's because Sasuke and Naruto never got married.
😂😂😂
The perfect comment :,)
Holy fuck
"If you dont lose your mind when Lee drops the weights then I dont know what to tell you. I I'm not sure we could be friends."
A+
For me, that was the most satisfying, intense moments in anime
Fucks sake
MFW the Great Shinobi War took place over the course of.... 2 days
I KNOW thats just insane cause if you take all the episodes and combine them its probably still over 48 hours.
It was 5 days headcanon
Honestly, the moment that Rock Lee dropped those weights before the absolute insanity that followed, is easily the moment Rock Lee became my favorite character. He had to deal with so much adversity, but found a way to train and dedicate his blood, sweat, and tears to becoming as strong as possible. From being the first person to ever land a proper hit on Gaara, he was instantly cool.
