When Naruto appears in the smoke on top of the giant toads in a destroyed hidden leaf! I still remember that giving me chills and a huge amount of excitement. so good!
One of the many things that I loved about what kishimoto did was he made sasuke carve out his own path/journey, have some character arcs, instead of making him run alongside Naruto throughout the entire series like he was some random character that just happens to be Naruto’s right hand man. It’s one of the main reasons why I consider him as one of the greatest shonen deuteragonist

Now that Naruto has ended for 8 years, I see new anime Fans always bashing Naruto without any reason and now there are less people to defend it as many fans have moved away to other animes, This kindaoff video was needed thank you.😅
This explains my love for Naruto so well. It is the deep emotional connection that I feel that is keeps this show as an unshakable beauty in my life.

Growing up watching Naruto during 2010's really changed my life. Forever thankful to the creator for creating such a beautiful story.

My favourite moment is still Hinata vs Pain specifically for that one moment when she catches Pain off guard as she swings to break the rods that trap Naruto rather than the villain in front of her. Our expectations have already been primed that she’s no match here and Hinata tells them and us the audience that she’s there because she wants to be. This might be true but it’s also an excellent misdirect for our expectations: we were ready to see her go down swinging but her priority was saving Naruto , not fighting Pain, she was only willing to go up against him to get to Naruto. A perfect demonstration of combat motivated by love and nothing else

The series’ ability to give side characters catharsis is what always struck me as well. Not only do Naruto and Sasuke achieve it, but the series gives it to other beloved characters. Shikamaru after losing Asuma, Neji after his lifelong struggle with the ideas of destiny and being a slavers the Hyuga clan’s side branch system, Kakashi growing to love team 7 after losing everyone he held dear to him and pulling him out of the darkness of his childhood and time in the anbu, Obito after YEARS of losing himself and everything he loved… it’s unparalleled in anything I’ve ever watched
The entire stretch from the hebi arc to the jiraiya arc to the pain arc is hands down the most cathartic stretch in the entire series. Just back to back to back long term pay offs, which is why it’s so good
I feel like the first Naruto vs Sasuke fight really helped every other triumph that came after it feel even more satisfying, since it was the protagonist's most important fight and everyone expected Naruto to win. But he failed, and everything gets worse because of it. And thanks to that failure Naruto picks himself up and really examines himself, so that when it's time to finally bring Sasuke home, his victory is a formality at that point
this was beautiful, perfectly captured why this show was loved by so many for as long as it was! you deserve more recognition for your writing skills. keep going!
One of the best videos I have seen. It made me tear up a little. Naruto's sacrifice and his ever growing love for all life and his understanding of others pain makes him one of if not the best fictional character I have ever seen. One of the best fiction I have seen in my life.
10/10 essay, best I've seen in a while so congrats! Just a comment, I don't think Naruto embodies the idea that "love and mercy can redeem any soul no matter how far gone", but it's more a potential: "with love and mercy anyone could be redeemed (as long as there's some humanity in them)", that's why he didn't even attempt to reason with Madara, Kaguya, Kakuzu, Orochimaru and you could maybe throw in Deidara; some truly are too far gone, and usually they are ideologues
Who is cutting onions. I swear, nothing made me cry so often then Naruto. Everytime I watch something about Naruto, all the memories and emotions come back up and I just cant help myself. Naruto will always be the best thing I every watched.
What drew me to Naruto back in 2007 was the fact that they're all kids, and they're trained to do all this crazy Ninja stuff and assassinations and shit. The Chunin Exams just hammered the nail for me, the same kind of nail that Dragonball hammered into me.
I love your video and the way you described your feelings towards Naruto is amazing. I would love to add watching Naruto as the episodes/chapters released over the years and growing up alongside Naruto was a really unique experience that people that didn't go through just wouldn't understand. Naruto being raised by Konoha people in the Pain arc and being finally recognized was just a really special moment. I changed much as a person watching Naruto and it impacted my growth a kid in a lot of positive ways and I like to cite it as a reason for why I have huge empathy and compassion for people and care so much for my friends and loved ones. I read the manga from start to finish last year and it made me appreciate the story much much more and I would heavily recommend for anyone who haven't read it to do and it goes much faster than you would think.
never give up, staying true to your ninja way! Even as Naruto grew stronger he never succumbed to pride, he chooses mercy at every turn and brings people back to him. That’s why I love Naruto, staying to his beliefs and always humbly work to achieve his goals! Thank you for this wonderful video essay
Anyone with parent issues or an absent parent altogether can relate to Naruto. That comes with a lot of self worth issues so for him to take all that weight to his shoulders with pride regardless of what people said about him or told him is something that makes you feel like your existence is valid and you can be proud of who you are. The only “bad part” about Naruto to me was that it was so scary to me as a kid (it was really just gaara but still) so I never got those life lessons when I really needed them.
Haven’t watched the video yet but the title immediately makes me think of the OST. When I read the manga I don’t get half as emotional, the OST really amplifies the emotional tones
One of my favorite moments in the show is Naruto crawling towards Gaara, another is the whole Haku and Zabuza ordeal. Idk early Naruto hit different, Shikamaru's revenge is another beautiful moment, enriched by the anime only scene. I miss Naruto very much, great video, man!
I would also make the argument that Succession has the same cathartic release. Naruto like Succession implements a lot of shakesperian literature devices. I would say these two shows earned themselves as all great narratives that will be studied for years to come.
I rarely comment but I gotta say, you reminded me of that spark that the Naruto series ignited in me. Such nostalgia and anticipation when it came to the show and especially towards Naruto's growth. From what I've seen in Boruto so far, it just doesn't have the same energy. Maybe it's because Boruto, in early episodes, does not know pain to Naruto's extent and maybe that was a driving factor for my continuous support of Naruto *sigh* What a great show Naruto 💛
I was just hearing this when all of the sudden out of nowhere 5 minutes in bro start to talk about Naruto lol I grew up with Dragon Ball and Naruto was something after my generation but I learned to appreciate the show, definitely one of the best shonen ever
I just finished rewatching Naruto with my GF yesterday, which was the first time she watched it. And it was amazing. Highly emotional. (Spoilers ahead) The only things we didn't really enjoyed was the second arc of Shippuden which was very slow (Searching for Sasuke and Sai's development) and Sakura (I swear I tried giving her another chance). Everything else, which mind you is a lot, was very enjoyable. We did notice the plot holes but didn't mind them that much. We did agree that Kaguya's battle was a little weak, but at least it was short. The finale was much better than I remembered it and I held it pretty high imo. She cried for almost every single character arc during the war section of the story. And while we didn't enjoy Sasuke that much (which was my favorite as a teenager) his redemption at the end felt emotional and once more became one of my favorites. Just wanted to express some of my thoughts on one of my favorite anime of all time. Naruto is and will continue to be timeless. It is amazing.
Even though I'm not a fan of the series becoming like DBZ near the end, I will always enjoy the themes of the story. Naruto has a real knack for making me cry.

Naruto will always be the best thing I every watched.
i've been in love with naruto since second grade, and rewatching as a sort of jaded 22 year old really makes the show hit sm harder
What drew me to Naruto back in 2007 was the fact that they're all kids, and they're trained to do all this crazy Ninja stuff and assassinations and shit. The Chunin Exams just hammered the nail for me, the same kind of nail that Dragonball hammered into me.
07? You're an OG fan like me, so you must be in your early 30's as well lol
I just experienced another catharsis when you mentioned Naruto.
I don’t have a in depth explanation why but I really love Naruto befriending Kurama over time.
2:37 seen this over a dozen times and still I shed eyeball lubricant. That “on your left” just goes so far back.
@@Taylor-rw4le they still cant, seeing as naruto was then hated by the whole village for having a demon in him
Haven’t watched the video yet but the title immediately makes me think of the OST.
It's so true after i finished Naruto I have never watched any other anime completely cause it never gave me the same feeling insted .
I would also make the argument that Succession has the same cathartic release. Naruto like Succession implements a lot of shakesperian literature devices. I would say these two shows earned themselves as all great narratives that will be studied for years to come.
My fav anime of all time. ❤ And I have watched many.
Mostly commenting to let you know i was here and enjoyed it.
@@SlugSage thx bb luv u lots
I rarely comment but I gotta say, you reminded me of that spark that the Naruto series ignited in me. Such nostalgia and anticipation when it came to the show and especially towards Naruto's growth. From what I've seen in Boruto so far, it just doesn't have the same energy. Maybe it's because Boruto, in early episodes, does not know pain to Naruto's extent and maybe that was a driving factor for my continuous support of Naruto *sigh* What a great show Naruto 💛
A world where a character does the objectively right thing and is rewarded is a wonderful story, even if idealistic
I was just hearing this when all of the sudden out of nowhere 5 minutes in bro start to talk about Naruto lol
I grew up with Dragon Ball and Naruto was something after my generation but I learned to appreciate the show, definitely one of the best shonen ever
Probably the best and most positive Naruto vid I’ve seen in a while
I just finished rewatching Naruto with my GF yesterday, which was the first time she watched it. And it was amazing. Highly emotional.
(Spoilers ahead)
The only things we didn't really enjoyed was the second arc of Shippuden which was very slow (Searching for Sasuke and Sai's development) and Sakura (I swear I tried giving her another chance).
It is amazing.
underrated channel like wtf
this was beautifully executed, defo gained a subscriber in me
ayo channel underrated hope more of your stuff pops off. Simple and effective way of communicating story elements
As a feeler (INFP personality type) and someone that believes that great things come from effort and good values, this anime was really good to watch.
Naruto is one of a kind! Each character has its one fanbase and deep underlying story attached to that character.
True☑
The build up was goated 🔥
Even though I'm not a fan of the series becoming like DBZ near the end, I will always enjoy the themes of the story. Naruto has a real knack for making me cry.
Boooooooo the series didn’t become like dbz. You just can’t read.
maybe like power wise?? But the who really cares about power though, I care about characters
This was such a nicely edited and thoughtful video! I’m so glad to see that Naruto has touched hearts around the world. It’s my favorite anime and truly changed my life the first time time I watched it all the way through.
The zabuza arc still gets me and makes me cry everytime I watch it.
Great, well made video. Naruto was the first anime I really watched and got into other anime, I can see it’s flaws but still love the series and appreciate its messages.
Underrated video. I actually enjoyed watching a video for the first time in like a month
@@Roaryxd underrated viewer and comment 🔥
It's feel so cathartic to know my favourite show is my favourite for a good reason
Itachi's story should be a show on it's own
I watch Naruto at least once a year and every time I watch it I just tend to smile more and more. ❤ great video
I was in the fifth grade when I started watching Naruto all I have to say is THAT SHOW IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE and it makes me so mad when my friends won’t watch it because that show brought me so much happiness and I want them to experience it for themselves.
Also side note Jiraiya is awesome
Naruto is literally one of the best anime’s of all time. It’s one of the originals that inspired a majority of what is out right now!
That's your opinion. MAL manga rank and Anime rank shows it is not.
@@beasthundred4709 MAL is notorious for its user's review bombing series to create artificial rankings. It's the IGN of animanga 😂
Dude killer video. Please keep it up you'll go far with this type of videos!
I nearly cried a few times watching this. Naruto is such an inspiration and the messages it teaches us are very real and relatable
Naruto is arguably the greatest Anime ever made.
Just rewatched it after like 5-10 years it’s top TIER. All time great show for sure… you see the inspiration from Naruto in so many of today’s anime’s!
I' rereading this masterpiece!
This channel is going to blow up.
When the recently resurrected Kakashi appears to catch a physically and emotionally exhausted Naruto after the Pain battle... it was perfect.
this hits so hard, just watched the series for the first time this year and i’ve been devastated ever since just because i miss everything about this series and i wish there were 700 more episodes that gave exactly the same feel bc nothing will ever go as hard as watching naruto start from nothing with not even a good clone jutsu to literally becoming a god
I've always seen the similarity between Infinity Saga and Naruto. Both series deliver incredible powerful emotions. I'm happy you've explain that so well.
Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist Brother are my first and second anime series respectively. And nothing compares too the feelings that I felt when first watching these shows.

Forever Naruto will G.O.A.T🐐📈
