    Thank you for the video! The one other thing I was hoping to learn is the proper way to get back on your board when you fall off.

    Good video; note that switching side when paddling is not a must. It is possible to only change when you are getting tired. Practice required but much more efficient.

    Thank you for your very helpful instruction. It has inspired me to have a go at paddle boarding, when the English weather becomes warm enough, later this year.

    360 degrees would be a FULL circle. If you are turning around (direction) that is a 180 degrees

    Looks easy…so I’m tried today. Is hard to stand up and maintain balance, but I already know how to fall into the water 🤪😁

    • @iRockerSUP
      @iRockerSUP  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's advisable to begin gradually, getting comfortable with sitting or kneeling before attempting to stand. With practice, it will become easier. We wish you safety on the water and hope you gain more confidence with each outing!

    Hey! They both have their paddles backwards!!

    • @cynthiaheather875
      @cynthiaheather875 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is actually their new paddle construction.. so although it may look backwards, for this model it’s actually correct.. the new paddles have a slight curve rather than the previously (traditional) angled paddle

    Can you do a video showing someone moving from the normal, balanced stance with feet at the carry handle, into a surfer or modified surfer stance....in the water. This video cheated by only doing it on a board on a floor :). Every time I try to do it I lose my balance and nearly topple over. Is there a secret to the way you move your feet in order to prevent the board from rolling while you change stances?

    Hey, he has the paddle backwards! I embarrassed myself while paddle boarding using his instructionSs 😳- people tried to correct me but I resisted. Then, I did the research!

    • @earthella
      @earthella 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I noticed that immediately

    • @marapetretich6898
      @marapetretich6898 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Nope, that is correct. The paddle blade has a slight scoop shape. Different paddles may have more of an angle and it can be confusing, but his paddle is correct.

    • @ConstanceBayPaddle
      @ConstanceBayPaddle ปีที่แล้ว +5

      HIs paddle is not backwards. You don’t look at the face of the paddle to tell, you look at the angle where the the blade meets the shaft. It needs to angle towards the nose of the board. However, most of the time he and others are paddling incorrectly. They are sweeping the paddle to the tail of the board instead of getting it out when it reaches your hip.

    Is it not assential to wear a buoyancy aid?
    Coaches at my local clubs mention so, before talking about any techniques. They also wear one at all times.

    Nearly drown. Two attempts to get back on board, board kept flipping.
    Was so cold I couldn't catch a breath to kick properly.
    Head is 20, body 59 😮

      I agree. Paddle facing wrong way. Keep saying 360 when it should be 180. Plus no replies to comments.

    • @cynthiaheather875
      @cynthiaheather875 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheManWithTheHat they actually seem to have modified the traditional paddle technology.. previously those paddles were angled like every other SUP paddle out there, now the paddles are slightly curved to offer a streamlined performance(their worlds not mine 😅) so now, even though they look backwards.. they are actually the correct way 🤷🏻‍♀️
