Mesmerizing. Thing of beauty. From the ease of his 220/264 at Worlds last year and these training lifts at 207/250, it looks like high odds he'd get to at least the 500kg barrier this summer -- what I think must have been his original plan to break that at the Olympics in front of a world audience. Now that they Olympics are pushed back to 2021, will he try and find another venue late in the year in which he can move the barrier up from 484kg? If so, will he move it up only to the 490s, and still leave 500kg for the biggest audience at the Olympics, or aim for 500kg in 2020, then be the first to go over 500kg at the 2021 Olympics? I think he's got 228/272 in him on just about any day he wants, and that those numbers are far enough inside a maximum effort that he has 98% chance of zero-misses to get it done. But ... will he still always leave the new records only for his 3rd lifts, leaving no margin for a miss? He is far enough ahead of the competition that he could lift gold medal weight in each of snatch and C&J on his first lift, then leave himself 2 shots at the new record, in case of anything going wrong on a first attempt, so he doesn't have to wait another year for the next Worlds (or Olympics) for a big enough stage and audience?

The most explosive strongman in the world....these lifts take power/explosion/coordination; you have to be a great athlete, not just a dump truck.

We all know he has the WR

Antonio Krastev is probably up there. Training with the Bulgarian Team I imagine he did 200kg quite a bit.
