Also, Brian doing those pinch plates was amazing since it meant so much to him and his grip is top of the top, and seeing Eddie do it was INSANE since he isn’t traditionally know for his grip, but he clearly isn’t someone to discount on this either.

One thing I especially liked about the series is that the guys called BS on the record when needed. Like the cannon carry, it was obvious that nobody just picked up 1100lbs to their shoulder. Cut to the Icelandics, and you can tell them that someone from Iceland lifted two horses with one hand in the year 938, and they'd all be "yes very impressive achievement, much respect from us all".

20 odd years ago the York pan weights was the only weights I knew I don't know how old they were but that was the type of weights we used all the time in the gym
Didn't even know there was other types of weight plates there till later

The pinch grip lift of the two York 45s was made (sort of) famous by Terry Todd in his book INSIDE POWERLIFTING. He described watching a buddy named Jack Fritsch do it. Todd was a guy who had done bent rows with 500 pounds, but Fritsch blew his mind.
