Saratoga is in Upstate New York - it was an extremely popular vacation place for the ultra-wealthy at the time the souvenir glass was made. It’s now known for its thoroughbred horse racing and period charm. I think you confused Saratoga, NY with Sarasota, FL.

At an Antique store they were selling Scrabble tiles for $3.00 a piece,I gave mine to my son and he made a beautiful cross ornament out of it for his wife.
I had that Night Before Christmas book years ago. Seeing it immediately sent me back to my childhood with all those wonderful memories associated with the holidays resurrected!

The sales in the Villages are way over priced! Do the estate sales people get to keep everything that doesn't sell? That would explain a lot of those prices,
2nd sale was a little pricey, The non stuffed animals do come that way. I bought tons of them for my dogs and bunnies. This way your animal isn't totally destroying the toy and getting stuffing all over!
If the people would stay at the hold table then it would not happen. It's really sad becauce Im sure that person could read & knows what hold means. But then again people now a day's only think of themselves.

Today I drove to almost Boston for a good auction win... in the friggin Cape summer traffic on a Sat! But I do love it when I get my good stuff cheap! HA! Makes it all worth while. The silver item was a crumber - you brush it over the table and it picks up crumbs. .Very popular in Victorian times = again popular int he 50s.

The brooch does go over thevshoulder....sort of the Bob Mackie look of the eighties. Would be good on a shawl or the wrist of a heavier coat perhaps.

The silver plated brush looked like it was a crumb rush. They used it to brush crumbs from table onto a tray.

Watching live sale on tv. You can find people to potty train your dog and doesn't usually cost much. Do it for peace of mind.
