    It says it all that backyard breaks wasn’t willing to give out the Gold Trevor Lawrence kaboom but somehow they are going to be pulling cards that are worth hundreds of times more and sending them to random spots. I don’t think so. For them to legitimately be pulling all those cards they would have to be opening literally opening most of the product. So unless they are opening tens of thousands of boxes or are the worlds luckiest pack openers it’s clearly a scandal.

    I’d like to see SCR do a deep dive into the legitimacy of some of these memorabilia cards. If you read the back on many of the cards they read “the third party they acquired (bat, jersey, etc..) it from guaranteed it’s authenticity.
    How do we know that patch is from a Gretzky jersey or it’s a piece of a Hank Aaron HR bat. Those of us that have been in the hobby more than week know that COA’s are a joke and there’s a plethora of bad memorabilia floating around.

HOW individual major league licensing could be handed out exclusively and then consolidated under a single company and not be called an antitrust and reviewed by the FTC is beyond me. We need to go back to a minimum of 3 major brands to keep print runs lower, patches authentic and partnerships spread out.

    I don't know if I fully believe in the conspiracy but I am following with an open mind. I do think a very important point is made at about 17:50 to the argument that people are saying that all you are doing is giving Backyard great publicity. "Why don't I buy into Backyard Breaks then". If they are knowingly sitting on juiced cases they would definitely make sure that those cards are going to the right places. I think a lot of fellow breakers have been discounting this conspiracy theory more so because it is bad for their own business if another breaker is getting publicity for having a juiced case connection. If they are in fact getting juiced cases, it does not at all mean they are playing fair with them and the T Law gold Kaboom debacle there is a huge testament to that.
    Perhaps there is a paper trail connection of who has been getting these huge hits?

Like if you flip a coin 10 times and it comes up in order HTTHHHTHTT, there's actually only a 1 in 1,024 chance of that exact sequence happening. Alternatively, the odds of getting exactly 5 heads and 5 tails in any order is about 1 in 4.

    I knew Panani is crooked back in 2017. I was in online breaks with a lower breaker where he pulled 2 Kizer FOTL in national treasures along with all lower end in team breaks. He never pulled anything special. Then bought into another break dude pulled Trubiksy, Maholmes, Kamara cards in their breaks. We then knew this was crooked and went to only special breakers. This of course was before backyard breakers and is when I quit buying in breaks because I knew it was crooked. Plus a 3 box break on FOTL 2017 National Treasures chiefs would go for 350 back then but their breaks got over 800.00 if you bid in like they knew their boxes were juiced. Now go back notice these breakers were deleted from TH-cam because they took them all down. Only lower end breakers ones are still up. This math is flawed - the chances of finding 3 specific product hits isn’t nearly the same odds as hitting 3 random product hits. Everyone is using the math wrong - let’s say there is 50 product hits in NT this math assumes pulling 3 specific cards vs 3 out of a pool of something like 50 1/1s. We know there are more 1/1 or super high end hits now than there’s every been. These numbers are wrong. I would never doubt the possibility of backyard getting first dibs but don’t use this flawed math as proof

      @@SportsCardShow I’m a fan of yours sir - not sure why the immediate attack on me
      Essentially we are running the odds of hitting those specific 3 hits when in reality it should be 3 out of a total pool of hits - I don’t know what that total pool is - maybe it’s 20 maybe it’s 50 - if we consider a 1/1 rpa a hit, triple logos, 1/1s - what we know is that there are more high end hits now than ever.
      So - the numbers he ran are great but they are exploring odds of 3 specific hits - so there is only one cade 1/1 those odds are 1:19,000 for example (NT boxes), whereas the odds should be 1:950 (if we assume 20 mega hits and 19,000 boxes). So then the math is 1:950 odds per hit versus 1:19,000 odds per hit ^3
      It’s still mathematically significant for them to have 3 or 4 hits but it’s not quantifiable as being the hit of the century - the fallacy is assigning odds for those hits as a 1/1 when we know there are likely dozens of mega hits.
      Now separately, hitting a 1/1 card and 1/1 lamello is indeed terribly improbable and inexcusable - I don’t doubt there are not boxes and I don’t doubt many motivations for a company to hit huge hits to the widest audience to boost sales

      @jonathanw4429 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SportsCardShow one more thing to note - if you apply the math to a pool of 60 hits, the expected amount of hits backyard breaks has is in fact 3 -

    I personally believe it is panini. This is why. Panini opens basically an online store uses some of their employees as breakers. Panini send their loaded product to their own online store. People spend thousands of dollars on a chance for those hits. They open the product get the hits more people enter more MONEY. As the gentlemen said the MATH doesn't add up. The guy who kept saying about you could win the lottery twice that's possible but 4 to 26 times MATH doesn't add up. I believe it's Panini. When their product is opened at a large rate meaning you have a greater chance to pull those hits. Not really if Panini is holding it then once they milk as much money as they can they raise the price because the odds should be and would be greater. PANINI!!!!! Dig your show.

Granted I’m not ripping cases of NT, but seeing my personal results doesn’t exactly give me faith that backyard hit these astronomical odds. Also, keep in mind most of the people who criticize the math are the same dummies who were sitting in high school algebra saying “this shit is so stupid, I’m never gonna use this in real life.” I wouldn’t put too much value on their criticism.

    What y’all need to understand is that the data they show is when each product if first made. The entire totality… as weeks after weeks after weeks after months after months go by, and a product has been out for 6 months, those odds are dramatically increased. You’re basically backing that top tier hit into a corner the longer a product is out. Now after said product has been out for a while and lets say there’s 500 cases left, Backyard goes out and sources 200 cases, there odds are almost 50% to pull that monster hit. WAY TOO MANY VARIABLES! And what you won’t hear is this the numbers they’re showing you is when a product is fresh off the press, because that’s when it’s the easiest to know how many cases were made.
