    This hymn is a collection of the O Antiphons of the 8 days leading up to Christmas Day. This is a chant tune which is why it is so haunting, from the 12th Century.

    I believe you are playing a 4th below on the left hand, is that right? It sounds fantastic. I'm a new fan, too. I play Dustry Strings, too....HD and harp.

      Actually, a fifth below on the right (for the organum sections). Best wishes for your playing!

    Do you have sheet music for this arrangement I can purchase?

    • @timothyseaman
      @timothyseaman  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I arranged it at the dulcimer, using patterns and special techniques, without thinking about what the notes were. If I were to go tediously through and figure out a way to notate it (as I have a few times with other pieces when people asked), it would be a sort of stylized rough representation of what actually is an experience in the moment using certain playing approaches, and would probably be extremely frustrating to get from the page to the instrument. It's much easier to study how to make your hands work like a duet or in zig-zag patterns than to learn the actual arrangement without those techniques having been developed. If you email me at timothyseaman at gmail dot com and request them, I can send you scans of the old articles I wrote about these, with playlists that go with them.
