I toured your current building and looked at this area also and although I just signed a lease with another building, (one from another TH-camr which u actually commented on with the great kitchen:) it really helped to see empty and lived in options before touring in person. Ultimately figured it would be the last time I’d experience urban living before buying a house. I’m actually in packing hell right now, lol. Moving out of state is so much harder!! Looking forward to streamlined apartment living but still gonna need a little storage unit for all my hobby/sports equipment, got any recommendations?

my therapist told me last year that being/becoming an independent adult is all about making decisions and learning to be ok with those decisions. Watching you do just that as I go through extremely similar life events is so relatable and validating. I could see the emotion in your eyes when you talked about your 2020 struggle and that right there is how you know you made the right decision to move back to an apartment that feels like home. I am SO proud of you sweet girl.
When I was in my 20s, I moved to different apartments and states! This is when you’re supposed to explore. You go through so much at this time. It’s supposed to be terrifying, yet exciting. How are you going to figure out what you want without exploring? During you’re 20’s, you’re figuring out what you like and who you are. You will not regret any of this in your future❤
Congrats on all of the new opportunities coming your way! You recently graduated, past the NCLEX, moving back to a place that was a sanctuary and home for you, new job, new relationships, an epic ski season is approaching, new subbies, new brand deals and whatever else your heart desires. You are so sincere, kind, loyal, and hard working… Please know these things shine through without you having to explain your heart, intentions, and goals. Always know you have more people for you then will ever be against you! I actually like apartments that have more natural light (and I am not a person that films) especially during the fall and winter so your new/old place won me over with that essential feature alone. Suggestion: Maybe get one of the bookcase or a bookshelf desk to go where you old bar area was. It can proved decoration and extra storage.

Moving is so chaotic and stressful and love watching others move because it helps me with figuring it out. And moving around can be kind of fun experiencing different spots of the city/state and finding new spots in different neighborhoods to get food or coffee. I think it’s been amazing you’ve found a space that feels like home. I’m still looking for mine.

I’m 26 and in my early 20’s I moved 7 times in 5 years because of college, grad school, saving money, and getting jobs. I now have a house, a dog, and I absolutely love my jobs. So while it might feel chaotic now, it’s totally normal and will be the best for you in the long run!
The downfall of TH-camrs is this very reason! You do exactly what feels right for you and please try to remember its all about you and no one else! Honestly, I am so happy for you, that you are able to move back to the building that felt soo much like home in the past! ❤ I also expected it for a little while now, since the first time that you mentioned this appartment building again. I knew you would move back there somehow! Soo excited to see what you do with the space this time!!! I think the only moving tips I have from my recent move in July are: 1) trash bags around the hanging cloths and use the suitcases for heavier things like books instead, because this way you have it easier carrying them 2) Get enough people to help you move and plan with a little lunch break. We did both of those things when moving my best friend out of her appartment and it was soo much more relaxed then my own move!

I’ve moved 5 times so far since moving out, it just happens when you’re young! It sounds like a good financial decision for you as well 😊 my best moving tip is putting clothes into IKEA bags! No more wasting box space on sweaters, and they’re easy to carry haha

I am so sorry people are hating on you! You're such a kind and happy person! I have moved every single year since 2013. It f**king sucks! It's horrible. Moving is SO expensive. You have to pay deposits, you have to pay for moving supplies/trucks, you have to pay rent at your old place and your new place. It's horrible! However I will say this, even if you are moving for content, it's no one's business but yours! You just need to do what is best for you! You already seem do much happier in this apartment.
Don't be afraid to start moving soon. There is a ton that you can live without in your current space and move to the new one. It really makes all the difference not having to do it all in a few days. Best of luck, Kiara. You sounded so joyful in this video.
I have moved many times and each one was across country. Use paper plates between breakable plates! They are they perfect size, cleaner than newspaper and much faster to pack!!

Moving is a part of life so its just fine showing them because they can be stressful and overwhelming at times and we can all learn from each other :-)
I always felt like your first apartment in Portland (you know, the new old one) was where you were truly thriving, so I am SO GLAD you are returning to the space that makes you so happy :) and save that money!! Also, I don't have any moving tips...which sucks because my husband and I are moving into our first house later this month. I'd say pack what's not in use early x) just pack as you're still living at the old apartment.

Moving tips: if you can pack everything in similar sized boxes or totes. Easy to stack and put on a dolly. Also if you can purge things fo that beforehand. I moved way too many times in my 20s but sometimes you have to do what's best for the bank account and go where you feel at home the most.
wishing i had a good moving tip to share!! what i can share though is that there is nothing wrong with doing what you need to do!! people will say want they want but at the end of the day your happiness is what matters!! keep doing you and i hope this is a smooth move for you:) thanks for sharing your life with us, im currently in school to get my degree in psychology and then go to nursing school after so it was really nice to see someone else talking a similar route of getting degree before going to nursing school. thanks again:)

We love you so much!!! So happy for your new beginnings! One tip for decorating is looking at Pinterest or even on the Target app (I work at target lol) because they have fully inspired rooms and you can buy what you like in those rooms. That’s how I decorated my room and I love it!

Good luck, and congrats on the NCLEX. The moving tip: pack some of your clothes in your luggage, get free boxes from grocery stores, and use socks as fillers for breakable items. label boxes put them in their respective rooms, and unpack the kitchen and bathrooms first.

You definitely should not be getting hate! As someone who is the same age, I just moved for like the 5th time. And I know I’m not done yet! I went and lived w family to save money as well and I just moved into an apartment. Is it the one I absolutely LOVE? Not necessarily but it’s in the location I love and has great amenities. We are all in the same boat and you have to do what’s best for you especially when it comes to happiness.
I loved it! Moving tip: leave the kitchen to pack for last, start with things you're not wearing right now (summer stuff, shoes you don't wear often, etc), decorations you won't put together so quickly, extras like extra blankets, etc. And have fun in the process, as you're heading to a place you love! I think the only moving tips I have from my recent move in July are:
1) trash bags around the hanging cloths and use the suitcases for heavier things like books instead, because this way you have it easier carrying them
2) Get enough people to help you move and plan with a little lunch break. We did both of those things when moving my best friend out of her appartment and it was soo much more relaxed then my own move!

I’ve moved 5 times so far since moving out, it just happens when you’re young! It sounds like a good financial decision for you as well 😊 my best moving tip is putting clothes into IKEA bags! No more wasting box space on sweaters, and they’re easy to carry haha
You are a wise young woman. Best of everything as you get “resettled” in your apt….it’s fun to try new things & no guilt when you decide something previous made you happy.

I have moved every single year since 2013. It f**king sucks! It's horrible. Moving is SO expensive. You have to pay deposits, you have to pay for moving supplies/trucks, you have to pay rent at your old place and your new place. It's horrible!
However I will say this, even if you are moving for content, it's no one's business but yours! You just need to do what is best for you! You already seem do much happier in this apartment.
Don't be afraid to start moving soon. There is a ton that you can live without in your current space and move to the new one. It really makes all the difference not having to do it all in a few days. Best of luck, Kiara. You sounded so joyful in this video.
I have moved many times and each one was across country. Use paper plates between breakable plates! They are they perfect size, cleaner than newspaper and much faster to pack!!

Kiara I haven’t watched your videos in a while just because nursing content isn’t what I’m into, but I came back to this video since I love your moving vlogs and wanted to say I really appreciate the way you are so honest and real and making responsible life choices and posting them online. I think sometimes it can be hard to relate to other influencers when they’re not as financially conscious as many of their viewers are. The apartment may be small but it does look like it will be cozy and welcoming once you get the furniture moved in. I love that kitchen and the open layout to make a small space feel bigger than it really is.

I’m just getting into skiing more seriously as an adult and would love a video from you for tips on gear, choosing a seasons pass etc. I’m also in pdx and chose meadows this year but would be interested to hear your thoughts on the different ski resorts in the area!! i skied a little bit (1-5days/year) as a kid and chose meadows because I loved it then, hopefully it will still be fun for a whole season.

I love the moving videos!! You are just fine having them. Sometimes its great to have content related to life skills in general and you do an excellent job with them. Moving is a part of life so its just fine showing them because they can be stressful and overwhelming at times and we can all learn from each other :-)
I always felt like your first apartment in Portland (you know, the new old one) was where you were truly thriving, so I am SO GLAD you are returning to the space that makes you so happy :) and save that money!!
Also, I don't have any moving tips...which sucks because my husband and I are moving into our first house later this month. I'd say pack what's not in use early x) just pack as you're still living at the old apartment.

Moving tips: if you can pack everything in similar sized boxes or totes. Easy to stack and put on a dolly. Also if you can purge things fo that beforehand.
I moved way too many times in my 20s but sometimes you have to do what's best for the bank account and go where you feel at home the most.
Love that! I've started purging something which I know I thank myself later for 😂
wishing i had a good moving tip to share!! what i can share though is that there is nothing wrong with doing what you need to do!! people will say want they want but at the end of the day your happiness is what matters!! keep doing you and i hope this is a smooth move for you:) thanks for sharing your life with us, im currently in school to get my degree in psychology and then go to nursing school after so it was really nice to see someone else talking a similar route of getting degree before going to nursing school. thanks again:)

Honestly, I'm SO excited you're back in this building and really liked how you set it up before. Excited to see the process and what you end up changing this time around. I definitely agree that the exposed concrete makes it hard to feel homey and it always felt so much darker in that apartment. This one has such amazing lighting and you're truly glowing with how happy you are to be back. Congrats!

We love you so much!!! So happy for your new beginnings! One tip for decorating is looking at Pinterest or even on the Target app (I work at target lol) because they have fully inspired rooms and you can buy what you like in those rooms. That’s how I decorated my room and I love it!

Good luck, and congrats on the NCLEX. The moving tip: pack some of your clothes in your luggage, get free boxes from grocery stores, and use socks as fillers for breakable items. label boxes put them in their respective rooms, and unpack the kitchen and bathrooms first.

Sometimes it takes longer to get settled! And that’s ok. I just moved out of the city I’ve lived in for years, back to my hometown. You definitely should not be getting hate! As someone who is the same age, I just moved for like the 5th time. And I know I’m not done yet! I went and lived w family to save money as well and I just moved into an apartment. Is it the one I absolutely LOVE? Not necessarily but it’s in the location I love and has great amenities. We are all in the same boat and you have to do what’s best for you especially when it comes to happiness.

Moving tip: leave the kitchen to pack for last, start with things you're not wearing right now (summer stuff, shoes you don't wear often, etc), decorations you won't put together so quickly, extras like extra blankets, etc. And have fun in the process, as you're heading to a place you love!
