Closing a chapter to start a new one in a new apartment! Excited about that. My favorite room in my house is my office. I really wanted a separated room to study/work because I preferred to sleep rather than to study when I my desk at my bedroom. And my office is also my little library so is a dream come true
Very cute apartment! I like the big windows, in the right season the light coming in must be great. The Pearl looks like a fun place to live now, back when I lived in Portland it was all industrial and you wouldn't go there after dark! Definitely changed for the better! Looking forward to seeing how you decorate the new place.
love love love your design style!! it's so refreshing to see something bright and minimal, yet different from the all-beige look! also, spinny chair is to die for🤩
I think it was about 7 years ago... I lived in an apt on 67th and Halsey. I only paid 495.00 for a small 2 bedroom. The owner never raised the rent. There were 6 one bedrooms and 3 two bedrooms. One of the girls in a one bedroom only pait 225.00 and had lived there almost 20 years. Well the owner passed away and her family sold the property. We all got eviction notices because they wanted to revamp the complex. We weren't given an option to move back in. When they were all done, the two bedrooms were now 2700.00 and the one bedrooms were 1800.00 per month. Just crazy. None of the apts had dishwashers or laundry available. There were 2 washers and dryers in the basement. It is amazing how much people will spend to be in a certain neighborhood. I'm glad you are going back to a place that made you happy. Hugs
Bc I don’t currently have my own place, I love my bedroom. It’s so comfy and cozy and I have all of my plants in this room so everyone calls it “the jungle”
I love that! I bet you are a plant healer...mine could use a trip to your jungle to be revived 😂 Thanks for watching, hope you're having a good wednesday!
My algorithm somehow suggested your recent (old) apartment tour. I stumbled upon your vaccination vlog and it warmed my heart. ❤ I’m fifteen years older than you and lived in Florida 🤢 during the height of the pandemic. As a professor, I WISH my prior students had been as socially conscious as you. I want to thank you for being a true influencer!!! Good luck in your adventures and I hope you find a job you love. The quarter life crisis is real, but I think you’ll get through it. You’re a ray of ☀️ and young women (and men) like you are why I love being a professor.
Hi Kiara!!! Hoping to see your new place already✌🏼 Oh, and i just realized that i'been watching your videos for all these years, i'm so excited for you girl!!!!
Depends on where you rent in Portland people. You can get one bedroom for 1500 a month including everything. 2k for a one bedroom in the pearl makes sense. Most 2k is 2 bedroom apartments in other parts of Portland
Hmmmmmm, I love my living room too because I have 2 big bay windows for my corner unit that have beautiful views no matter the season with a lot of natural light. I can see most of my apartment from my couch which is also nice because I enjoy how I have decorated it!
I'm so glad you said you hate the exposed concrete the studio I'm in right now in San Francisco California also has the same ceiling and it drives me insane. I will definitely check out that little table since I'm moving to a smaller space soon.
My current apartment is, well horrible would sum it up. No favorite room here. But at my last apartment I loved my bedroom. It was a 2 story apartment with the bedrooms upstairs. I had a big window overlooking lots of green and pine trees plus high ceilings.
I'm excited to see you move back to your old apartment. I feel like you really grow there than here. I wish you all the best. Ps: i saw someone said she's sad you're moving. I felt that before you move here. Haha. But hey its your life. We're all just here for you. Lets move forward together.
11:42 One thing to note, putting your laptop facing the sunlight directly is not good for its health. Maybe a couple of hours might be okay but constantly doing it like a habit is not a good idea especially if it's summer. As a soon-to-be programmer, it makes me a bit nervous even tho it's not mine haha Other than that, I think the overall look good with clean white style :) Hope your next move will be more awesome than the previous ones!
Do you know Catherine June? She’s a TH-camr in California that moved back into her old building too! I think it was the apartment right above her old one. ❤
Phew I pay $900 for a whole 2 bedroom, story and a half house with a quarter acre. That doesn't include any amenities or utilities but still! It's also the nicest neighborhood I've ever lived in.
I live in Portland and I was thinking this had to be $2K-$2.5k. I was right. Housing here is expensive. Very nice place though. Seems larger than 650 square ft.
Random question- do you recall where you got the frame with the patches and pins above your bed? I’m trying to make something similar for my dad for Christmas with pins and mission patches from all the rocket launches we’ve seen together in person since I was a kid but I’m having a difficult time tracking down something like this frame. When I saw this in the video, it was a lightbulb moment for me.
That’s such a sweet gift! I ordered it online from target for like $20! Try searching shadow box & see if anything comes up….if you can find it let me know!
They're called shadow boxes! You can get them at Michael's too I have one with medals in it. But Amazon probably has them too if you search "shadow box", they're basically raised picture frames
Hi Kiara happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Hi 🙂 ! Your video just popped up on my phone. I watched & enjoyed it!! At first, I thought PORTLAND, ME; then after you mentioned Oregon - I knew it wasn't New England, USA (Apartment Rentals in Portland Maine are approximately 690-700 sq. ft. for about $ 1,690 - $ 1,700/month). Your apartment tour was Wonderful, where are you moving to? CONGRATULATIONS on finishing Nursing School 👍👍👍👍👍. I hope that your next move, will be a home of your own. Why not, you deserve NOT to be paying a Landlord; have your money work for you - it's all a right off on your taxes (Pay a Bank, or Pay a Landlord). With a rent - NONE! Where do you store all of the rest of your LIFE...😂😂?? I'm Subscribing to your Channel. TYFS!!👍👍.
Hi Kiara, I’ve been being your fan for about more than 2 years. I just got to Corvallis to study graduate program at OSU, feel like dream come true but furthermore I’m so close to you. Hoping that I can have a chance to meet you one day. I hope you will reply to my comment 😊
I just never posted one to begin with so I thought better late than never & now I can remember the place I called home. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch :)
Literally just rented my first apartment at 33. How do you guys afford all this shit in Portland without working a soul sucking corporate job. Edit: HOLD UP 2,100 FOR A 1 BR. how is this accessible to anyone?!?! No wonder there's homeless people every holy shit
My house is almost 3.5x size of your apartment. Imagine if you had to clean and maintain my place. This is not including the .50 acres lot that I have to do yard work. You got the cleaning part easy. Hahah
For the price you're paying for this place, you can get a nice house in some states for rent or mortgage payment. I don't have to worry because my place is paid off because I made so much money in stocks and used that money to purchase my house. I had great year in stocks in 2020 and 2021. Now in 2022, I'm down 20k. 😂I hope the stock market recovers in 2023.
Every time I hear American rent prices, I die 😂 I pay around 500€ for a 1 bedroom with a balcony, including utilities in a medium sized city I can walk to get my groceries and to get food, 5 minute bike ride to basically everything 2500 hurts my ears 🥲😂
Closing a chapter to start a new one in a new apartment! Excited about that.

I am too! I've always dreamed of an office...so nice to have that separation!
Very cute apartment! I like the big windows, in the right season the light coming in must be great. Thank you! 🤗 It definitely was a good time in my life!
Cannot wait to see your new place! Your decor style inspired me so much with my first apartment this year!🤍
Yay! Thank you! Coming soon!
Me too. Feels like we’re coming home after a year abroad.
It really does!
I really love all of the green you incorporated into this place!!
Thank you! I love the green too!
love love love your design style!! it's so refreshing to see something bright and minimal, yet different from the all-beige look! also, spinny chair is to die for🤩

I know that prices are truly wild! Happy to be going back home too :)
I'm setting my alarm for 12pm PST so that I can be one of the first to watch.
I love it 👏

Welcome back and only 18 days to go before Christmas!🎄🎄
SO so so excited!

Hey Kiara, your new apartment looks beautiful
Thank you so so much!
My favorite room is my bedroom. I live in the basement so a whole wall is a brick fireplace!
That sounds incredible Piper!!
I love the difference. She had to turn on the AC at 75, here in AZ, 75 is a spring day. At 65 we turn on the heat😅
And in germany you dont even have AC 😭 Your apartment can get up to 90 and you just have to live with that 🥲
I’ve been subscribed to your TH-cam channel for 2 years
Ahh thank you! I appreciate it ❤️
Cant wait to watch😊
So soon!!
My current apartment is, well horrible would sum it up. No favorite room here. But at my last apartment I loved my bedroom. It was a 2 story apartment with the bedrooms upstairs. I had a big window overlooking lots of green and pine trees plus high ceilings.
I can picture that right now, sounds BEAUTIFUL.
So cute! I love that neighborhood! I used to work in the R/GA building I think you can see from the window
Such a good spot! So many yummy food options nearby 🤩
I'm excited to see you move back to your old apartment. I feel like you really grow there than here. I wish you all the best. Ps: i saw someone said she's sad you're moving. I felt that before you move here. Haha. But hey its your life. We're all just here for you. Lets move forward together.
Thank you so much, I am so happy to be back in my old home ❤️
Love the aesthetic thumbnail
Thank you!
I’m so sad. I thought this was going to be of her new place. 😢
Hopefully that one is coming soon! All the moving vlogs coming right up!
The Nclex test is very difficult to pass, I can’t believe I failed after studying with so many materials💔🙇😤😭😔
I used some Uworld, some Remar, and read a lil saunders. I did 3 nurse achiever exams and my result came back failed
I like when a tourist posted after someone moves out due to safety
@evelynisabella8354thankfully passed the first time!!! ❤🙏🏻
Where did you get the cocktail cart sign?? I’m living room/kitchen combo is my favorite room.

I love your round decorative pillow and a small table. Where did you buy them from?
Do you know Catherine June? She’s a TH-camr in California that moved back into her old building too! I think it was the apartment right above her old one. ❤
Oh cool, you lived only a few blocks from where I live! Hope you had a good move to your new place.
Such a good spot! The move was pretty smooth thank goodness 😂
I’m obsessed with your sweater on this!!! Where is it from ??
Thanks! It's from Princess Polly!
Phew I pay $900 for a whole 2 bedroom, story and a half house with a quarter acre. That doesn't include any amenities or utilities but still! It's also the nicest neighborhood I've ever lived in.
I love your jeans! Where did you get them from??
Great vid! Are you going to make a New York vlog?
I actually only filmed stuff to make a reel or tiktok cuz I went with my mom who's very camera shy :)
Kiara, I LOVE the pants you're wearing in this video? Would you mind sharing where they're from?
Thank you! They are from reformation! I have them in two colors they are so great.
Hi Kiara!! 😀 The TH-cam button, the Chill Pill 💊 and the Shadow Box make your room so cool! 😎🤩🤗 By the way, didn't you have a Baby Yoda? 😁
thank you! Omg baby yoda was hiding in this vid lol 😂
I live in Portland and I was thinking this had to be $2K-$2.5k. I was right. Housing here is expensive. Very nice place though. Seems larger than 650 square ft.

When do you decide to do a premiere video and when not to? Also since you graduated, are we going to see new content from you?
Kinda just depends if I think the video is an extra special one and if I have time to be there and watch it with all of you too!
Looks good, and I will be waiting for the moving vlogs and apartment tour in the new (previous) place😍
Your apartment looks great, I love the views.
My favorite place in my house is my room, it’s cozy and filled with memories 😊
Thank you! A good room that you love is everything!
Moving is a lot of work. How many times have you moved? How old were you on your first move?
It really is! I've done like 3 big moves then a couple small ones into college dorms! My first move was when I was 18 and moved to college :)
Hi Kiara happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Thank you! Hope you are too!
@@KiaraMadisen of course sending you hugs ❤️ 🤗
Great video
Thanks!
where are your slippers from :)
Ugg!
Omg What’s the door in your room for? I have to know. It’s the secret door like in Friends?😂
It’s for the secret water heater ;)
What's behind the small room in your bedroom. You didnt show
That’s the water heater :)
When I am old enough I will be able to get this apartment and she says that it is expensive but it is not I will get it in 10 years 😁😄😃
The secret to living in a small space, is not cluttering, and keeping your items and bills in a designated area
So true!!
I love your home 👌👌
Awesome
Thanks!
where are your pants from?
Reformation :)
This makes me realize that I really have too much stuff. 🙉

Lovely apartment 🏠
Thank you!
I currently LOVE my reading nook in my bedroom. My dog thinks she's a lapdog, so we share the chair 😂
I love that so much!
Hi Kiara, I’ve been being your fan for about more than 2 years. I just got to Corvallis to study graduate program at OSU, feel like dream come true but furthermore I’m so close to you. Hoping that I can have a chance to meet you one day. I hope you will reply to my comment 😊
2500 a month with an unfinished ceiling?! Yes I would’ve moved too
Thanks for validating my feelings 😂
I really want to know what the logic is behind not having ceiling lights because it annoys the hell out of me.
SAME.
Don't you have everything you need from your old place to new place. Like furniture? You're not going to add new furniture or other things?
Pretty much! I had to get a new entry way table cuz I sold my old one and I'm reorganizing my new stuff in the space :)
I wish you would post one video a week. Keegan post at least 2 videos a week. TH-cam isn't the same without you.
I usually post once a week I am just a bit behind...I'll try & step up my game now that my schedule is settling down a bit!
Is this a thing now tours of apartments because you are moving????
I just never posted one to begin with so I thought better late than never & now I can remember the place I called home. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch :)
I wouldn’t trust putting my home on the internet unless I WAS moving. People are sketchy, it’s just not safe showing anyone anything anymore.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤yessssssssss
😘😘😘
Hun your storage closet is anything but messy 😄
Haha thank you 🙈
Harekrishna ❤️

So much work, but it also sounds like your own little paradise which is awesome!
Video is so dark! Turn lights on to film people!!
Problem is my spare had no lights…hence the move lol 😂
A beautiful apartment except the very small picture above the bed...is not the right size or the right place for it...
The pearl district is where my friend lived and was high on herion like a lot of the homeless out there. Portland has become a dump.
For the price you're paying for this place, you can get a nice house in some states for rent or mortgage payment. I agree that's the goal...save for a down payment & get out of apartment life!
u want light ,get led lights on the top

Wow 2,100-2,500 all together good god n hell no lol
