Hi Colin and Shaun, I’m so glad to find out that you’ve sold Silver Fox and that you’re moving on to the next chapter of your journey. If only I’d had the money to buy it myself! The new owner is so fortunate to have such a wonderful, cherished boat. I can’t wait to see your new craft, especially as you’re building it based on your experiences and what you’ve discovered can be achieved in this type of vessel over the past few years. A good friend of mine’s sister (retired) has a huge wide berth and knows you two… that’s how I came to be introduced to your channel and your beautifully considered, filmed and edited videos. Many people are feeling hopeless and even believe the Apocalypse is here. Your videos provide escape from the insanity. No politics, no drama (except for when Otis goes overboard or a boat comes through your window), no analysis of the world's hatred or injustice. In addition to the scenery, history and banter, you provide safe haven, laughter and yes, even hope. Colin's courageous handling of his anxiety is inspiring and keeps my problems in perspective. Shaun's adventures with bowels crack my ribs! Silver Fox is just a boat. The main reasons we watch will also be on the new Silver Fox. Best of luck; looking forward to more voyages with you. Congratulations on the sale of Silver Fox! I can't say I'm surprised that it moved faster than a jet ski, as the lucky buyer has a "previously owned' boat that truly is in almost brand new condition. That you decided to sell and build a new boat makes complete sense to me. The experience gained from building the first Silver Fox, combined with having an experienced, enthusiastic team that seems ready to build a new boat that's even better than the first, should not only result in an awesome boat, but should also make for great (and educational at the same time!} viewing. I'm looking forward to it, When you're done, you'll be experts enough that there will be plenty of opportunities to consult others who want to custom build a narrowboat - if you want that gig! And Shaun, do try to keep it together. Colin has enough on his hands making the vlog, without you 'sabotaging' his 'innocent' dialog!

I know it’s the people/animals not the home itself but I found myself getting emotional. When I found you guys I was in the worst place I have been in my life. The boat represented an escape, another world I could temporarily whisk away on (I would put the channel on and go to sleep hoping my dreams would take me there - somewhere wonderful instead of the dark places they had been taking me). Thanks to you guys and a few others I got thru it and am in such a good place comparatively speaking), but the boat was a large part of my ‘hanging on’. Imagining being on it and going all the places I dreamed was a huge part of my my salvation. I am totally happy & excited for you both (and Otis of course!) but it just marks another chapter. I am sorry to see it go but can’t wait to see the new boat and new adventures either. Congratulations!
The boat- at least for those of us who came along later- is almost inconsequential. We hardly see anything of it- it's your private floating box. And it's not a very personalized boat either- tho I like it because you guys live in/on it. But it's Not the star. YOU are! This is not to say I don't like SF. I do. But I like it as I would a Very Modern House. Impersonal, sleek and shiny-- perpetually new-looking. Because I don't know anything more about it. One tour (that I know of). And it's not that I'm asking for more, but you're not the kind of fellas that personalize their home. It seems your 'home' is more in your bond to one another-- and not the physical thing of your boat. Please forgive me if I'm wrong- or if I offend. That's not my intention, and I don't mean to at all. I'm just telling it as I see it. In my eyes, the boat it almost irrelevant. You could live on a tug for all we really see of your life on board. I do like to see in one's cupboards, the food, and this and that. But I know that's not your thing, so I enjoy the trip, the scenery, and your wonderful personalities. I wonder it the next will be as slick and un-fussy as SV1- if that's really your 'thing'. It may be how you are. And cool that! But don't think that the boat is the star. YOU are. We had to have our 12 year old Irish Setter put to sleep on Friday and I honestly haven't been able to smile since. His ashes came to us today, a very harsh time and I remember how you guys were over Dylan. We have trouble with the Worcestershire and Leicestershire words as well... Might be an asd thing 😊 one of my asd sproglets calls Skegness skeggerness.. Dear Points of View.... I have been driven to make a most serious complaint, regarding the "Foxes Afloat" programming, of which I am an avid viewer, at 4pm every Friday (or thereabouts). In my opinion, the content has become too full of facts (we don't like experts apparently), picturesque scenery, jokes, dirty laughs and innuendo....for it only to be a once weekly item 😊 Thanks for another great mix of all things Silver Fox 👏👏👏 💜

I know it’s the people/animals not the home itself but I found myself getting emotional. When I found you guys I was in the worst place I have been in my life. The boat represented an escape, another world I could temporarily whisk away on (I would put the channel on and go to sleep hoping my dreams would take me there - somewhere wonderful instead of the dark places they had been taking me). Thanks to you guys and a few others I got thru it and am in such a good place comparatively speaking), but the boat was a large part of my ‘hanging on’. Imagining being on it and going all the places I dreamed was a huge part of my my salvation. I am totally happy & excited for you both (and Otis of course!) but it just marks another chapter. I am sorry to see it go but can’t wait to see the new boat and new adventures either. Congratulations!

The boat- at least for those of us who came along later- is almost inconsequential. We hardly see anything of it- it's your private floating box. And it's not a very personalized boat either- tho I like it because you guys live in/on it. But it's Not the star. YOU are!
This is not to say I don't like SF. I do. But I like it as I would a Very Modern House. Impersonal, sleek and shiny-- perpetually new-looking. Because I don't know anything more about it. One tour (that I know of). And it's not that I'm asking for more, but you're not the kind of fellas that personalize their home. It seems your 'home' is more in your bond to one another-- and not the physical thing of your boat. Please forgive me if I'm wrong- or if I offend. That's not my intention, and I don't mean to at all. I'm just telling it as I see it. In my eyes, the boat it almost irrelevant. You could live on a tug for all we really see of your life on board. I do like to see in one's cupboards, the food, and this and that. But I know that's not your thing, so I enjoy the trip, the scenery, and your wonderful personalities. I wonder it the next will be as slick and un-fussy as SV1- if that's really your 'thing'. It may be how you are. And cool that! But don't think that the boat is the star. YOU are. Hi guys, been watching your vids for a good while now, through all the ups and downs. We had to have our 12 year old Irish Setter put to sleep on Friday and I honestly haven't been able to smile since. His ashes came to us today, a very harsh time and I remember how you guys were over Dylan. I laughed for the first time in a week watching this vlog so just wanted to touch base and thank you both for helping ease the loss. Bless you xx

I'm afraid if I were to try to come up with a name for the narrowboat I would like to be living upon (not sure exactly what my husband thinks of living on a narrowboat, I must say) it would be an impossible task. The mind boggles at the options and possibilities. I do hope that someday we'll be able to make it to the UK and take one out for a week or two on a rental.

We.ve known about your plans for a new boat for some tme and I know its been delayed by Covid etc.All I can say is any buyer has got a jewel of a boat as she is in imaculate condition. I look forward to seeing what changes you make on SF Mark 2 ...will you make it a radical design will the interior be traditional or ultra modern,Perhaps a hybrid mode of propulsion or even 100% electric.A purpose built lookout for Otis . I have been driven to make a most serious complaint, regarding the "Foxes Afloat" programming, of which I am an avid viewer, at 4pm every Friday (or thereabouts). In my opinion, the content has become too full of facts (we don't like experts apparently), picturesque scenery, jokes, dirty laughs and innuendo....for it only to be a once weekly item 😊
