- We bought our Narrowboat home 3 years ago and it's been an amazing journey renovating the boat to how we want it. As with all boat projects, there is still much more to achieve, but we are now at a place where we wanted to share a full walkthrough tour with you to enjoy!

We are Adam & Lauren, we live full time on board our 59ft Narrowboat with our dog Shanti. We are excited to welcome you into our daily life as we continuously cruise around the British waterways.
Your house is beautiful, though not typical. I think that only exceptional people with good energy can live like this.

What an absolutely beautiful floating home, every room is good enough for a magazine shoot! The only plain area is the wall in front of your lovely sofa and I see have no telly. If it was me, I'd have more book shelves as I love old books. Is that how you like it or have you plans or have you a secret massive TV? 😂. Thank you, Tony 😊
Hello Tony, thanks for the magazine shoot comment, what a compliment :) no we have no TV, we do have a small projector where we hang a sheet on the wall opposite the sofa and watch a movie every so often. Another bookshelf is a nice idea however we keep buying books and not reading them so this may encourage that more :D
I use an iPad for a tv and just stream videos (like this) or get films off Netflix
Wow, what a lovely little floating home. I do like the layout, especially how it affords you a larger living area and how the doors separate everything. I also love the way you have decorated it as it obviously uniquely you. You've really put your stamp on it. Yeah, you have every right to be proud of your home, its beautiful.

Treat your yam as you would a potato- peel chop boil or once cold fry in shallow oil
Try a proper Jamaican sweet potato with some fried or boiled plantain
Serve with anything that has gravy and you will love this dish 😊

Nice home,loving the veg Garden and Solar Panels on the roof. Get rid of the Grill if you can and create more storage in the space= use a George Foreman or similar product. These are better than undercounter Grills as well as used on counter top and easy to watch food cooking. I just keep mine on top of my Oven and even leave it there when cooking most times.🙂

What a lovely boat. My friends had a narrow boat but everything was put away & very minimal & clinical. Your is so homely & calming. I love your veg & herb gardens. Lauren is so talented making the planters, decking, shelves, bathroom & macramé. Very artistic & must be satisfying when you have made it yourselves & looks so good plus saves you money! You just give off good vibes & its lovely being so near nature every day.

Yams are great cut in cubes add butter brown sugar cinnamon and nutmeg and throw it in the oven for about 30-45 min❤

Lovely boat you guys have , cookthe yam the same as you would cook potatoes after about 20 minutes stab with a fork if soft they are ready.

Sweet potatoes are actually from the yam family, they aren’t potatoes at all, my suggestion would be to treat it like a sweet potato. Lovely home btw❤
My parents had a dryer they very seldom used. My mother used it to stash picnic Things and cookies. Works well.

Gorgeous! I think being able to close off the kitchen makes more sense for heating purposes. Love the macrame, especially the curtains. Wanted to buy similar ones, but my pugs would eat them lol Love timber in a boat, lots of character and suits your decoration. Just love it.

You first peel and slice the yam in rounds (better if not too thin), then you cook the yam like you would a potato, you add it to boiling salted water for 20 minutes to half an hour. Usually very delicious.
you peal the yam like a potato and boil it like a potato it you use a spicy chi tea it makes it great
Peel the yam like a potato can boil til done ,add butter and mash it with a hand masher,electric hand mixer ,or blender...or you can peel it cut in half,cube it bake it with butter and alittle brown sugar...I personally boil and make like mashed potatoes!! Beautiful home!!!

For me, I'm a bloke. That is, if it has to moved to clean around it, and it serves no useful purpose, we don't have it.
But then, we live in a ten meter American caravan in New Zealand we tow with a ute. Ford ranger.
But like a barge I suppose, cept we don't float.

Can I just ask, Lauren when you mentioned about the wahing machine having hot water is that because it was a washing machine with a cold and hot water feed or have you plumbed the hot water feed into it instead of cold? Also I don't suppose by any chance that you can remember the name of the place that you went for your quartz bathroom worktop can you?x

I've got a sailing catamaran and was thinking of taking about a year off and doing something else like purchasing a narrow boat and exploring Europe. What does a boat like that cost if you don't mind me asking?
