Theres a thing too. If you position yourself in a certain distance with 'strike additional targets' and hit the ground you can hit the boss with the additional target strike and with the projectiles of your ground hits.
I really appreciate how easy to understand this video is. I started playing relatively recently, and I don't have as much time to play the game as some do, so sometimes informational videos about the game go way over my head. I can tell you put quite a bit of thought into what information to include and how in-depth to go about each point.
Hiya, second league here. General cry blade flurry scourge league. Lightning strike berserker archnemesis. One of the things I noticed I loved about the build was the health regen using an imperial claw. Lightning strike was no where near as smooth as cast on channel cyclone I used with gen cry, but I ended up scaling harder (probably due to experience more than the build.) At some point during the campaign I became an absolute force due to healing so much from my strikes. I really enjoyed playing it, it scaled well and led to some decent currency gains for a newbie regardless that I was working overtime shifts at one job and having a second job in the mornings. I ended up getting a headhunter late in the league. I never got to buy or learn to make a 900 ele dps claw but that was probably due to my choice to get hh Side note: I’m very impressed by the information you’ve acquired here due to how complex the interactions of gems are that you pointed out. I hope I get a better grasp on it in the future but may continue letting others pave the way for my builds. Cheers
Thank you. If you like the life recovery from lightning strike you should try molten strike at some point since you get lgoh from both the melee hit and every ball that strikes an enemy. You get absurd amounts of health back as a result.
@@Tenkiei one additional strike is mandatory. More than one changes almost nothing to the gameplay. I got used to the pebble effect and just move aside when I don't see my projectiles firing (blocked by pebble). Also the additional strike goes a small distance and goes over pebbles so it helps quite a lot for this also
That last point is exactly why I noped out of LS lmao, even if I enjoyed the build concept of accuracy stacker jugg that I played LS with Those damned pebbles man, the irony of a godslaying punch getting stopped by dumbass pebbles never fails to perplex me
I never tried LS until this league when I followed The Real James Humphries build and had a great time. The mechanics of the skill where the projectiles get stopped by seemingly inconsequential bits of terrain was annoying while getting Atlas progression done. Once that was done though I moved into farming maps with it that were well suited to it and had no issues. Next league I might play it again though I'm very tempted to do a RF build instead as my starter since the walking simulator builds are really more my preferred method of play.
lightning strike feels very awkward on some maps but its also the only strike skill that has decent single target(from the additional strike trick and vaal ls) while also having good clear so its hard to say no to it
I’d like to see your take on vigilant strike (I.e. how to make it good without being op). There’s others but that particular skill stands out to me as one I’d like to build around but it’s just not quite good enough.
Vigilant Strike is primarily a utility skill, and it was very good up until the recent fortify changes. So the best fix would be to improve its ability to grant you fortification stacks. There's no need for it to do damage really.
Hey Ten was wondering if I should use awaken multi strike instead of a regular one. How much more damage does it do? Debating if I should just save up for an Omni
im noob on the game, so someone know if has a way of binding the alt function to the character dont run before use the skill depending on my mouse position?
When i played on LS last league it feels like i kill only 80% of mobs on screen and like "I need explodes anywhere, pls", terrain... God damnit, the terrain issues is the worst on this skill tbh, i rather pick Cleave than LS (Even if i know that Cleave is piece of shit 8D), or Fb, or ...true melee skills need buff man(

You missed the most important part for single target dps - the double hit when you have additional strikes.

Before you get pierce and strik+1 it feels like shit tbh. Also yes the terrain interaction is awful.
even with strike +3 and pierce it feels pretty bad to me due to the terrain interaction.

I appreciate all your videos they really helped me learn POE and enjoy the game for all that it has to offer
Glad to help!

Yep, I tried LS on a strength/acc stack jugg last league. It was much better to play Frost Blades.
is there a way of making static strike beams hit more often?
Hey question do you use night blades or night blades support?
You just had to be there when lightning strike wasn't popular way back in Awakening expansion

RF aka walking sim is in a very good spot right now.
@@Tenkiei I'll second that. After lvl 60 RF almost feels like cheating.

I only LS for endgame bosses. Frost Blade is so much better for clear and comfortably takes down map bosses with my build.
More like other melee strike skills sucks so mutch we have to use melee strike skill that makes us ranged.
I'll stick with Smite if I Melee.
Smite is a very well rounded skill.
Please, make another one for Tornado Shot, even if it just the history of it.
Tornado Shot certainly has an interesting history.

That's a PoB question. Be sure to compare regular, Divergent, and Awakened.
@@Tenkiei my bad for pob question, I've never tried pob before. Playing on console I might have to build manually. Thanks for the contents
I'm doing frost blades.. it's a good skill I use swords though not claws
Swords are a good choice because you get savior.

Just keep it to not move while attacking

True melee skills just don't fit well into a game where the goal is "explode the screen".
Quick Answer: NOT AT ALL ANYMORE
